Chinatown here in Melbourne is extensive. They have different wares, chinese medicine shops, asian restaurants and grocery which is attractive to many tourists. A must go to place for asian cravings!

It is one of the better Chinatown's for sure. I've been to me y around the world and I think this one has more diversity. Other Chinatown's I've been to had too much southern style cuisine (Cantonese), which for the record isn't bad. But they didn't have much to offer. I think the Melbourne one had much cuisines from different provinces. I recommend coming here for sure.

This pocket of Melbourne makes for a great evening walk and offers a plethora of restaurant choices. It feels like you could return every night and dine somewhere new. If you are into street art, there are few worth alleys to explore.

(Translated by Google) You can try good Chinese foods at here. The heritage buildings describe a history of migrants. Multi cultures make Australia a great country. Every city’s Chinatown tells a history. Back in time, the happy lives of the Chinese ancestors, full of blood and tears, have made Chinatown today. Going to see these places, feel the history, and taste the cuisine of the hometown are all good experiences. (Original) You can try good Chinese foods at here. If you love dumplings you must go to China Town in Melbourne’s CBD! There is so much variety it’s very difficult to choose where to eat! A helpful hint: the places with lines outside are the best to eat at and cheap although table service might be poor and the atmosphere very loud! It’s still worth going though!

(Translated by Google) The Asian quarter is very lively and friendly, we often go there to taste specialties or just for the atmosphere. The main street is decorated with two beautiful doors nicely decorated, watch out for traffic (Original) Le quartier asiatique est très animé et sympathique, nous y passons souvant pour déguster des spécialités ou juste pour l'ambiance. Well, in Today's Chinatown. I couldn't buy a single cigarette from a native retailer. I had $130 Australian and he still had no interest in my money. My question is, where have U taken my Asians ? I used to have five of my classmates hassling me to buy high grade heroin for $20. I got the feeling today all I can get is Chinese food. Well done Melbourne???

China Town really resembles the Chinese region of the city, with people all the time owning the road in that particular street! It does have some gems, but I won't blurt out any, I think you should do your research, maybe?! You'll enjoy the food! Mostly Chinese style street food, also has many other food options. Perfect place for a hangout with a group of friends or to relax in a lively place, if you are that kind of person. The view here is obviously interesting, with the Chinese themed art here and there.

Hallmark location in middle of CBD that got the best of what Chinese culture offers. We visit this place often as we love Chinese tea, dumplings and the dessert places that are abound here.

Great cultural hub and delectable food

I assumed I reached the place when I walked through the arches on the road. There wasn't much here aside from restaurants and a few shopping areas. There was a nice area with an archway and a sun yat sen statue. There was also a Museum nearby. There wasn't much other things to see or do though. It is a nice place if you are looking for a place to eat. I was mostly on Little Bourke Street.

Smaller than I expected, but a place to visit nonetheless. Quite multicultural, with more than just Chinese to choose from. I love the feeling of being transported back to Asia, even if just for a moment. I prefer the Sydney Chinatown though. Now THAT takes me back..
