Bonnie Coffee Melbourne

Cafe Coffee shop

😠 I have always seen this coffee shop to be very busy and wondered how the coffee would taste. So today I gave a shot in trying a cappuccino and I regretted the decision. Firstly they missed my order and secondly the coffee was tasting very sweet. Probably the worst coffee I had in Melbourne by far. People often mention coffee, service, staff, good, great, friendly, water, Great, Melbourne, cafe,

Good coffee but they've recently increased prices to $4.20 for a small coffee which is steep given that there are plenty of places in the CBD which will do great coffee for less.

I don’t get the hoo haa. Coffee was average and even Magic was weak. I’d come back only for sparkling water. Water is delicious.

one of the worst coffee i've had in melbourne, overpriced overrated, had my first iced coffee, took only two gulps, three gulps at max to finish (extremely small cup they serve), and it's bad, gave it another try with a different blend, still bad, conclusion, dont waste your time and money. service was okay, just bad coffee

Great spot, nicely tucked away on the corner of InterContinental on Collins St (where the entrance for the Rialto towers is around the shop). Great pasties and amazing coffee, easy going service and convenient seating for a business meeting.

Very “Melbourne” coffee shop, friendly staff, fast service, and great coffee. Really like the flat white and cold drip, decent short black, nice pastry. And it opens super early so it’s perfect for my morning pick-me-up.

Incredibly popular cafe in the morning with many working/office ppl getting takeout here There was a decent queue to pickup the coffee but you can get your order down fairly quickly Had the magic which was good , have heard it’s the local espresso drink and wasn’t disappointed There are tables inside and outside which is a nice place to relax on a nice sunny day like today

Heard their coffee was good and had to try it. Ordered a long black for this cold sleepy weather and it definitely did the trick of waking me up. Think they overdid the beans bc my coffee tasted a bit burnt. Definitely want to try their milky coffees next time. Also a bit costly for a small :/ Taste: 3/5 Value: 3/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Value:

I just had a camomile tea here but it couldn't have been nicer. It came in a pot with leaves and a cup and saucer and a glass of water - it was only $5...it is on an inner CBD street next to the Intercontinental...lots of people 👀 watching. Bonnie is small but tidy

Quite a unique little coffee place. The cappuccino was tasty and it was different in the fact the the coffee was served in a glass. The staff were also friendly.

Cafe latte here tastes incredibly weak... I have tried it here three times now, coffee have always been very weak. How on earth do they get such high ratings with such weak coffee? (After reading others' reviews, it seems they're well regarded for their friendly service and the complimentary sparling water...)

I have been here a couple of times and the service is always great. They always offer sparkling water while we wait. The let down is the coffee. Unfortunately it’s very milky even when I ordered a strong latte.

Very very average coffee. Unfortunately, I’ve been repeatedly disappointed in Bonnie’s coffee. Usual order is an almond milk latte which is completely watery every time. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Bonnie until they change their almond milk.

First and only coffee chop we have been to in Melbourne, we did our research and were not disappointed. Order a black, white, v60 and cold drip and couldn't be happier. Fellow Aucklanders this is the place for your coffee whilst away from home.

We came here specifically to order a v60. The menu shows it's available under filter, but they gave us a batch coffee instead and said they haven't done v60 in quite a while.... They definitely need to update the menu. Good coffee but not what we thought we'd be getting.

Amazing coffee (had a delicious piccolo), good quality Matcha, they use “Happy Happy” brand of alternative milks (soy, oat, almond), very friendly and efficient service, the takeaway cups are cute too.

Disappointing. The place is stunning, gorgeous parasols and the decor is fabulous. Heard it was a good spot and popped in on the way to the gym. $5.50 for a small Was no one at the counter when I arrived but had to wait a while and ended up having the person after me get their coffee first. The coffee had boiling hot milk with hardly any froth (I ordered a cappuccino) and the coffee was weak-maybe they had new staff? Above all its a card only business which I don't support....

Unexpected coffee joint on Collins Street. Want a great coffee and a classy pastry? Go here. Want anything else, go somewhere else. I go here 2 or 3 times a week, just so you know.

stumbled on this café completely on accident one morning. coffee is absolutely divine. was in melbourne for a week and tried a new cafe everyday, truly don’t think i’ve ever had an oat milk cappuccino as delicious as this one. service was amazing, and it’s located in such a beautiful part of the city, location is prime for people much like myself who are spending their day exploring.

  • 3/5 Sally F. 10 months ago on Google
Visited here from the google reviews but thought the coffee was average, beans weren't as strong as I thought. I've had better coffee else where so I think the 3star rating is about right

  • 5/5 Edmund 2 years ago on Google
Great coffee and they do lactose free milk too! Super friendly staff. They kind of only do coffees, and some pastries, so you'll probably have to get your snacks elsewhere, but their coffee is definitely top notch. They're located in the CBD, near the intercontinental hotel, and where vue de monde is.

Extremely overpriced and not worth it, the main server (male) seemed annoyed we were taking some time to decide what we wanted, as english wasnt our first language. Rude and arrogant.

Super delicious coffee here. Not too many seats in the store, but that may just be a covid thing. The staff a friendly and cheerful, which is always a good thing. Will be a great place to grab a coffee and catch up with workmates, once we start working from the office again.

If you like oat milk, no matter how good the espressos are here, Bonnie only serve the most watery, flavorless brand of oat milk on the market. Minor Figures are the Carlton Draught of oat milk and Bonnie coffee seems to be the RSL of cafes, thinking their patrons have no taste.

I got back to the CBD today after near on 4 months of lockdown/WFH to get something from the office, during which time I popped in to get the usual flat white from Bonnie. It's so pleasing to know that even while the whole world seems upside down at the moment, you can still get the best coffee in Melbourne at 495 Collins Street. Amazing what some consistency can do, and that little bit today just made my week. Thanks team!

Nice coffee located next to the Rialto building on Collins. Premium location and price to match. Friendly staff and service was good. This place gets very busy in the mornings. We had a piccolo and double espresso which hit the spot. Ready for the coming day’s festivities

The coffee was good, but the staff were very unprofessional. Whilst waiting for my coffee, the conversation of the staff and behaviour could have done with being a bit more professional. The member serving me was great, but others playing around with cleaning implements, including placing one in or near her hair, was very distasteful. Rummaging through drawers and playing with what they find does not give a great image. Unfortunately will be unlikely to visit again based on the staff.

Service: Service at Bonnie's is always on point. The staff are always attentive and even managed to catch my eye (I usually stand with my eyes on the floor) and ask me if I'd like some sparkling water while I wait. Coffee: Had a Soy Cap and a Soy Latte. Both were very nice.

It sometimes sad to see things change, just like my now ex-favourite coffee shop in the city. The service is great but that’s all. My previous review back in 2016 was a 5/5. But my most recent coffee was one of the worst that I’ve had! Full stop! I asked and paid for a small strong skinny latte. But what I got was a milky flat white that was soo bad I wanted to take it back but I didn’t have time. The cup was soo full the coffee spilt all over my hand as I was standing still! Yep! I understand that the cafe was busy but this was just awful. Overall there are some amazing cafes in the CBD so I’d recommend going elsewhere. May 2016 I've been coming here for ages now. It's always great service and great coffee no matter how busy it gets. I love the fact that they give you a glass of mineral water too. This is my favourite coffee shop in the CBD.

What’s not to love about this place - there’s a reason why the line is usually halfway out the door! They make ordering quick though with two tills, and everyone that works here is genuinely friendly. Consistently delicious coffee and sparking water while you wait. I love their they are supporting the TCX cup exchange scheme too.

Great little cafe with a cosy atmosphere. But the coffee has been a little inconsistent. Ideal for takeaway orders, but if you want to sit in, you'll need to pick your time's wisely as there's indoor seating for only up to around 6 people as I recall.

It is truly one of the best coffees!! I was a regular at Sydney Bonnie cafe and actually missed their flavour once I moved to Melbourne. This morning I finally popped in ..So busy!
