A lovely hidden Very LITTLE cafe across the road from the bakeshop. They specialise in matcha tea and cake. I liked the cake very much as matcha flavour is well-balanced and not overpowering. The coffee is good quality but more on the fruity sour side, the hot chocolate is ok too. The service is very friendly, and the team looks like a female K-pop band tbh. #littlerogue

Great coffee, small place tho and very quite. They do serve up some pastries food and croissants from bakemono so it’s great. The coffee have a very unique rostering flavour which makes it very smooth to drink I loved it. Coffee art was also super pretty Follow @ms.quason for more reviews on IG

Tiny place that churns out amazing coffee and delicious bites. Ham and cheese croissant is the way to go! Throw in a great Melbourne laneway with plenty of street art and character, and this place will very quickly become a favourite!

I’ve been to Little Rogue a couple of times and one of my favs in Melb! I got the sakuratte (cherry blossom flavoured latte) and it’s fragrant and not too sweet. Definitely quite unique. The staff are always the sweetest and love sitting at the back as well as the front. Bakemono (their sister bakery) next door do very good pastries too - yuzu almond croissant pictured.

The matcha beverages and pastries are amazing here. Seating is limited but patrons can chill outside in the alleyway.

My new favourite place for coffee and croissants. I found Little Rogue by following the smell of bread down an alleyway, and it is slowly becoming my number 1 go-to for coffee in the morning! Truly hidden, but the walk to the shop is filled with beautiful wall art

An alleyway cafe with a cosy atmosphere. Friendly and helpful customer service. I enjoyed the taste of the matcha latte, which was of high quality, not overly sweet, and had a nice fresh aroma. It is always busy at the cafe throughout the day, but the line moves relatively quickly. Highly recommended for matcha lovers.

Love my very flavorful Matcha Latte with Oat Milk! But my boyfriend wasn't too impressed by their Flat White. The space is pretty tiny so it's more for take away.

cozy place with sweet iced matcha! - iced matcha 🍵 good portion and sweet! it has no bitter aftertaste 😇. cream on top and presentation would be much better if we had in cups. very smooth as well and not grainy. however not the most authentic matcha, overall 8/10

Consistently good cafe diagonally opposite Bakemono (same owners, I think). The coffee is pretty good although when I order strong, I want really strong! Cute sitting cupboard out the back and friendly staff.

A very cute small cafe hidden in the lane way. We ordered 2 iced lattes, perfect for the summer weather. Hats off to the staff as they are super friendly & lovely. They are so polite and will greet you with a warm welcoming and thank you when you leave.

The korean guy staff’s not friendly but girl staffs’re all good. I wish next time he would take us order with gentle service. BTW We love matcha latte, unfortunately their double shots’re not that strong.

Love this cafe in this tiny alley! Cosy place, really good and affordable coffee. Baristas really know their blends and gave me recommendations even without asking. Come early as their croissants runs out fast :(

Highly rated coffee shop at Drewery Lane behind Melbourne Central retail district. Nice decor and lovely staff! Coffee was good, but not strong enough for my liking. Ordered a strong latte, which I was charged an extra shot for, and it was still very milky unfortunately.

I love this place, the coffee, the matcha latte, the cute cosy vibe. I have been visiting this place for the longest time only coz coffee n matcha latte is great but idk what’s up with the staff here. Everyone seems so angry like they are forced to work here. It’s a super busy cafe provided the location so I’m sure it isn’t easy but sometimes they are outright rude. Well I would still go back coz it’s the best matcha latte in town and their sister venue bakemono does great bakery items. But I wish the staff was a little nicer.

A tiny hole in the wall cafe that hits way above its weight. Top class flat white. I tend to like my coffee robust but here they use a light roasted bean (generally preferred by the younger generation) producing a more delicate beverage. Yet, I still appreciated the complexity and balance that their well made coffee provides. Bravo!

Lovely cafe with cute decorations however i ordered a takeaway matcha latte and it was kinda underwhelming considering the hype around this place, the drinks were a bit powdery so it was difficult to drink but overall i think it was probably just bad luck and there can be improvement.

Good place in a quiet street with excellent coffee and sweets. Minimalist decor which is charming but they could make a little more effort cleaning out dust and rubbish.

Matcha and their flat white so yummy! Charming coffee place and their coffee is a little fruity. Matcha excellent / like it was hand whisked. Small place but we managed to get seats!

Great little coffee spot. Matcha latte was excellent, creamy, earthy and not over-sweet. Sakuratte was an interesting find, sweet with a subtle floral taste. Matcha brownie was perfect.

A friend recommended me this cafe as their Matcha is the most sought after in Melbourne. I think, why not give it a try! Of course I need to try their Matcha and yup, I can see why it is so popular. The Matcha flavour is so strong compared to what I usually have. A bit weird to try it first but overtime I grew into liking it more. Like any other cafe in CBD, there is not much space to dine in. Luckily we had a table and get to feel the overall vibe. Love!

Nice cosy cafe in a small street. I found it via google maps while searching for cafes that sells matcha latte. It’s hard to find places that do great ones. They didn’t disappoint with their iced matcha latte. Would get it again. Staff were friendly, even helped to refill my daughter’s sippy cup with filtered water. The cafe didn’t have a ramp though, it had a few steps at the entrance so I parked my stroller upfront to order. They have very minimal indoor seating, so I would recommend this cafe for takeaways rather than sit down.

Ordered the iced matcha latte and grabbed an almond yuzu croissant from bakemono to go with it. I am very much impressed. In a city with a rich coffee culture, you don't really find good matcha lattes and this one was amazing. Will definitely go again.

A small cafe hidden away in a alley way but it’s always busy with a small crowd. Quick service and the wait isn’t too long and always consistently good coffee. I’ve tried most drinks on the menu now and I like their dirty iced chai.

after lunch we came here for the very first time, they latte are so rich and special, sakuratte tasted so goood!! the unique flavour in the drink are definitely spark my day pretty quick!! also, the matcha aren’t bad, in fact, it’s really yumm!! i could have another one if i’m not that full. can’t wait to try something else next. pretty sure the coffee or chocolate will taste great too 😚 the store itself are another part that attracts people, little space with limited seats but doesn’t stop the cafe being busy!!

  • 4/5 Jarah C. 5 months ago on Google
Very cute cafe, minimal seating, sweet treat options & delicious drinks. For $7.70 fora small sized matcha + oat milk drink.. it’s a tad overpriced. However, the quality of the matcha is quite high. Edit: After trying some other matcha lattes around Melb, this place is easily the best. Creamy, strong, sweet. But I do standby that for the size it’s a tad expensive. I recommend this place if you’re open to an expensive, but high quality, cafe!

Nice small coffee shop. Came here on a recommendation and of course to try the matcha latte, which I must say was very delicious. 🤤 I didn't try the food here but popped over to sister shop Bakemono Baker's.. which too I would recommend.

Japanese fusion style coffee shop with lots of wood and a warm feeling. Seating is limited. The coffee is excellent (I.e. to my taste) and the small selection of pastries is divine. My favourite is the almond topped almond croissant - yum.

My go-to cozy spot near Victoria State Library whenever I visit Melbourne. A bit pricey (well they use specialty coffee) but the quality matches. Space is small but if you are lucky you can win a spot to sit in haha.

Little rogue is the perfect quiet cafe with a lovely work / study area, amazing coffee and Matcha to die for! I don’t even usually like matcha - but this was just something else.

A really comforting cup of matcha latte. It was served warm and really suits the cold weather at the time. Would hope that the matcha taste stronger due to personal preference but it's still good. The ambience was very relaxing but space is quite limited so I was seeing more people taking away their cups.

The best (ever!) matcha in Melbourne, have tried a couple of different ones but nothing compared to this. Blueberry danish to complete the amazing experience! The banana bread is also to die for (specially when toasted). Super recommend and I'm already a regular

Honestly just a lovely little place. The location is a bit strange; an alley way that smells kind of weird but that's okay. It was very busy,, many people coming in and out however the decor was really lovely and cute (I loved the plants and lil cats). The workers were nice and patient (the one with tattoos is very pretty). The hot chocolate was okay,, unfortunately I didn't like it as much as I did and it kind of tasted like a maccas hot chocolate. On the other hand the matcha latte was literally the best I've ever had. It was great and I'd have it again. I looked at the other reviews and I had no idea they had crossiants so perhaps I'll come back to try that one day. Visited on 14th of April

Loved the coffee here. They serve a range of espressos and filter coffees from different roasters. I had an oat magic here and also tried their filter coffee. Extremely delicious! I also got pastries from their sister bakery across the road. Highly recommended! Lovely baristas giving us suggestions to other gems in the area. 4 star for atmosphere because it is a little over packed and the room/ seating at the back felt a bit claustrophobic. It was like sitting under a bunk bed.

  • 5/5 Mel K. 5 months ago on Google
This is a very authentic Japanese dessert cafe in a small laneway. Their sakura latte is the best in Melbourne. They also have hot matcha latte and cold matcha drink. Their cold matcha is just perfect for summer. They used ice cream as cream on top and it is very creamy. They also have matcha brownie which is very good. This cafe is extremely small. Their seatings are very limited. Not suitable for bug group. Staff are friendly when they are not busy. It located just next to Melbourne central. Public transport and parking nearby. Seatings are very narrow. Price is average to high. For better experience, visit in non busy hours and avoid weekends.

I always have the warmest and kindest experience here. The cozy vibe of Little Rogue provides an escape from the hustle of uni and a perfect cup of matcha to suit. ? I had a uni project once too where I had to interview some store staff. The staff are always so groovy and chill. I got a HD for my report. They represent a bright and trendy culture in Melbourne on their site, which I eventually introduced my boyfriend to. He’s hard to please! And Little Rogue never fails to accomplish this ??
