I recently discovered one amazing place in Melbourne University called House of Cards. They have an interesting concept that a certain percent of their revenue goes to charity and you can choose which charity your purchase will be given to. While ordering a coffee you will get a card which you can drop in any box you find more suitable for your karma. By the way, the coffee and pastry are really good. Plus the charity game makes it more interesting and gives you an additional purpose to order something. Even though I'm not a student but I'll probably come back to visit this place again.

Coffee is delicious as usual, but its rather expensive for a large flat white - $5.80 and the serving isn't even particularly big. It's also absurd that the EFTPOS system incurs and additional $0.13 charged to the consumer - ridiculous considering everyone goes cashless these days.

Located in the UoM campus. Serve great coffee. The staff were friendly. Instead of an order number you receive a play card. after you receive the order you can choose a cause box to contribute to help.

We spend time for cup of coffee and hot chocolate, during raining time. Very strategic location.

Normally my favourite coffee shop except a horrible experience this morning. I bought a flat white with oats milk which toured out to be a disaster. The taste is strangely sour and yucky and I felt quite unwell with my gastro just after sipping 1/5 of the cup. I probably need to see a doctor later today. Pretty sure that oats milk has gone bad (as oats milk is not quickly turnover as normal milks). Their staff laughed at me when I purposely remind them to check their oats milk. Cannot imagine they degraded their quality of products and services so quickly after a couple years of popularity on campus…

Great coffee friendly staff & wonderful idea of voting with playing cards for 4 charities each month.

So you order your coffee, get given a card then wait for your card to be called. When you grab you coffee you then deposit you card into a ballot box and choose the type of cause you would like them to donate to each month. A great vibe, service was friendly and most importantly the coffee is great!!! ❤️♣️♠️♦️💚🌴

Sometimes there's a long line, but the coffee comes out quickly, so I can grab it and go straight into class!

Great service. The idea of playing cards is awesome! And it’s the best coffee I tried in this price.

Love the aesthetics and concept of this little coffee shop! Definitely very unique. Ordered soy milk latte and it tastes extremely smooth, definitely one of the better cafes on campus.

Very fast, drinks made with quality. They have a cool way of numbering orders with cards. Accepted my Keep Cup.

Coffee was delicious and it was fun to walk around with it checking out the architecture and layout of the uni. The use of playing cards instead of order numbers is creative and playful.

Friendly staff, solid filter coffee. Seems to be quite popular and your order might take a touch longer than expected but really enjoyed the coffee and the banana bread.

Honestly, the best coffee place on campus. The only flaws I can genuinely offer is: A) the wait times can get pretty crazy, but it’s warranted with how good it is. Sometimes you’ll need to wait 15-20 minutes. B) The location. Unless you have class nearby, it isn’t entirely feasible to just walk over during short breaks, as it can take some time. The charity idea is great, and helps with the idea of doing something good a day. Plus, the staff here are great. The coffee is good, but it isn’t the holy grail. Overall, I recommend it for a good on-campus coffee
