Yes, the food there was crazily nice, can tell this can be another level of meals. Loved coffee too! Just one thing, it is extremely busy and loud as this is the one of famous one in Melbourne and people are lining up at the front, staffs all were trying to clean as quick as all finished and ask if needed more, all understandable. But if you want to catch up with your friends or family chill-lax, this cannot be But highly worth to go to have food, coffee there

Came here on a rainy day for some hot coffee and delicious breakfast. It was such a treat! They have batch brew coffee which went down smoothly. I had the house made Baba Ganoush breakfast which was so fresh and tasty. Menus are found on the tables using a QR code but the tables are completely table service with friendly staff to take your order. There are smaller tables and a large communal table, perfect for solo or group options.

Every dish we ordered was amazing, service was lovely! Really enjoyed the spicy scrambled eggs on toast. Vego brother also liked the baba ganoush too. Only feedback is tables were too near each other, was uncomfortable for the neighboring table and I when we kept getting into each others way while having brunch.

We had to wait about 15 mins before getting a table (which showed how popular the place was) but as soon as we sat down, our order, drinks and food arrived so promptly that we forgot we had to wait for our table. And the food was absolutely incredible. Poached eggs done perfect, great fresh juice and coffee. Will definitely be back! Thanks guys

Nice meal great vibes and great service. Wholemeal waffles were very filling and had a nice mix of different flavours. Mixed mushroom medley portion was just nice and tasted good. All dishes had amazing presentation. Coffee was good as well. Overall a good place to chill at.

What an amazing brunch place. Quite famous and a very busy place. You might have to wait a while before you're seated but their brunch is worth the wait. They have a good selection of sweet and savoury options. I wish their coffee was as good as their food. I asked for an extra hot coffee and was still served with room temperature coffee.

Great service and awesome food. It wasn’t crowed when we went so was super easy to have a table for 2. It may be a little bit pricey but the product is good and fresh. Ideal atmosphere to start the day with good vibes.

Great spot in the center. We came for a breakfast menu and it was great. The staff is super nice, the place is spacious and modern, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend The only thing is that coffee could have been a tiny bit stronger 😅 We are definitely coming back

We had to wait 25 minutes before entering the restaurant and then had to sit on a shared table. However, the food was nice. I had the spiced grilled pumpkin which was vegetarian and my boyfriend had the red chili scrambled eggs. We both enjoyed our lunch here.

Very efficient and friendly service with amazing food! Chili waffles are a bit too spicy as a breakfast/ brunch item but we enjoyed most of it. Eggs Benedict is served with great salad and very fluffy bread, such a 5 star item! You walk down a laneway that’s full of green plants and flowers. Good vibes! Recommend it!

First time eating lunch here and it was an amazing experience! Even though it was very busy, I got a table fairly quickly and service was really good. I ordered the Spiced Pulled Pork and a small Mocha and was very impressed with how fast my order was served. The atmosphere is really nice and it is located in a beautiful area filled with plants on Guildford Lane. Highly recommend this cafe for its amazing service, tasty food and coffee, and nice atmosphere!

Am actually sitting in the cafe writing this review! LOVED the chilli scrambled eggs. Perfect blend of cheese & the addition of bacon bits is absolute genius! Unfortunately the coffee was slightly burnt but not terrible. I’ve had coffee here before & it was great so I think I got a bad pour! Also added halloumi & mushrooms as sides. Service was great & food came out real quick! So many wins!

Stoped for lunch. Delicious New York Beef Brisket on a ciabatta roll with sauerkraut, tomato, cheese, lettuce. Came with a small bowl of potato salad. Filter coffee for me, soy latte for my companion. Both great. Pleasant atmosphere and service. Menu and QR registration in a COVID safe environment. Highly recommended.

Just a wonderful experience. Greeted with smiles and efficiency. I was the first one to walk into the restaurant five minutes before opening. I sat at a table, got a coffee and ordered breakfast before I could finish settling in my seat. Before I finished my food and first cup of coffee the whole place was full with people waiting outside to get a table. This place must be a local favorite. Next time I am in the neighborhood again, I will pop in for a bite to eat.

Great brunch spot with a buzzing atmosphere on the weekends. The Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict is a must-try (to my delight, I definitely underestimated the portion). Was a warm Melbourne day, so ordered an iced chai latte, however wasn't as aromatic as other cafes. Brick Lane doesn't take bookings on weekends, so you could almost always expect a queue from 11am-1pm.

Fabulous little cafe down the gorgeous Guildford Lane. Coffee was perfect (taste and temperature). Food was amazing and everyone was happy with their meal. Service was very quick, probably because we went on Sunday morning and it was super busy. They were keen to get us out, but that also made it a short wait to get in (even a table of 6). Staff were super kind about keeping us informed about the timing of when a table was available. Would definitely go back

It’s really cute and awesome place for brekky. In this alley filled with plants, like walk into a secret place. It was a cold morning, the cafe was pretty cosy and relaxing. Love the open kitchen, there is lights on the walnut says” we got what you knead”, it’s so cute. Services are definitely on point, and kitchen was fast! Egg Benedict was great, and the egg and bacon roll with Napoli sauce ( if im not wrong) was pretty delicious too.

We had the lamb salad and the chilli corn waffles, both were great, the waffle was tasty, not dry and fluffy. It had a Peruvian kind of flavour that I really enjoyed. I actually came back again a week after to have it the second time. Coffees were good too. Service was friendly and prompt. Would totally recommend!

It was my first time to this place. I went for a breakfast with my work mates. We wanted to have a quick meeting so we decided to have it over a coffee and brekky. It was impromptu decision to pick this place randomly on the recommendation of one of my colleague. This place is located in a narrow lane in CBD but it has a good ambience. It is definitely one of the busiest cafe and I can understand why. Most certainly for the coffee and the food. I ordered mushroom medley. Being a vegetarian I don’t get many options but this place is a heaven for vegetarians. Has few options for vegetarians and they are creative with menu. It’s not a regular menu. Totally loved the food. It was absolutely delicious. Would most definitely recommend this place if you want to experience good vegetarian options for breakfast.

With a neon sign that’s hard to get in photos, the smell of baked bread and plants sprawling over the walls, The Brick Lane offers everything you want. Be aware with the vegan option of avocado toast - it automatically comes with Mushrooms! Coffee is fantastic.

One of my favourite breakfast places in Melbourne. They generally are packed on the weekends, but they never refuse people and can accommodate most. We ordered the following: - Red Chilli Scrambled Eggs (With Grilled Bacon, Red Chilli, Spring Onion, Manchego Cheese, On Sourdough Toast Add any sides). - Corn & Chilli Waffles (With Smashed Avocado, House Tomato Relish, Poached Eggs, Endive, Micro Herb Salad and Chulpi). Both were quick to arrive and are just so so good. They also make an amazing Smashed Avo. Their coffee is one of the best as well. Friendly service and great food.

such nice place to get brunch. on the expensive side but definitely worth it. the food tasted excellent and the service was phenomenal. will definitely be visiting again. they had a qr code menu but that was just for viewing the actual menu and not for ordering. would still prefer a physical menu as looking at our phones for a while seems very anti social. still the customer service was great. waiters kept checking in on us to make sure we were enjoying the meals. coffee also looked very nice. highly recommend this Cafe.

How good! This cafe didn’t disappoint, everything on the menu sounded good & looked even better amongst the tables of this busy little place. We had the vanilla pana cota & the big breakfast, both sensational. Coffee was also on point. I hope to come back to try the corn waffles with poached eggs & smashed avo because they also looked great. Service was fast & friendly.

Great food, great coffee and great service. We visited in the middle of the week and the service was super fast. The meals are a really good portion size and decently priced. I got the smashed avocado and my partner built his own breakfast. Both meals were delicious. I'd definitely visit again.

The best aspect of the cafe was the ambiance and decor. Service was a bit hit and miss but overall friendly. Food was pretty average - my mushroom medley was quite bland and toast was unremarkable. It was quite pricey for the quality. Good coffee though.

Cool cafe, very decent coffee and food. The ambiance and interior of the restaurant was homey and comforting. Really well located being close to the Queen Vic Market if you want to do a pit stop there too. Only downer was the service; they made sure to give us the bill 3/4 through our meal but would only bring water and napkins when asked multiple times.

Very busy. On the Saturday morning, we waited about 20 mins for a table of 2, which was fine. Inside was very warm for my liking, so we moved outside. The big brekky was AMAZING. Coffee was pretty bitter, which was disappointing. The pulled pork with eggs Benny had no flavour, which was also a bit sad. The staff were excellent though.

Buzzing cafe, plenty of people in Q at 10.30am on a Sunday. My order was served at 11.15am. Coffee is on the milder side, and not bad. I had the corn chill waffle and was pleasantly surprised by the spice level - it’s not low. I added bacon to my order, and it was good.

Pretty good brunch place. The interior inside was good and warm. We ordered the Chilli Scrambled Eggs and Corn and Chilli Waffles. Both of them were really good and I liked the scrambled eggs, especially. However, I wasn't a big fan of their hot chocolate as it somehow had an unfamiliar taste. Overall, the place was good.

Nice brunch place in the city. Great location close to Melbourne Central, just off La Trobe Street. Be prepared to queue, we waited around 20 minutes for a table for 5, and were eventually seated at a bar area. I had the sweet waffles which were yummy, but I was disappointed by the apple and ginger juice which was overpriced and not that tasty. Prices were average for brunch spots, which each main around $20. Overall, would recommend.

We came here today for a long awaited catch up. We had a large-ish group so we booked ahead to make sure we could fit and not have to wait too long. I want to thank the staff for a seamless experience, including paying, which I know can be more tricky with the current covid-19 rules and restrictions. We all had a great time, service was smooth and quick, and food and coffee were also good. I especially enjoyed today as I haven’t seen some of my mates since the lockdown began, thanks Brick Lane for helping make this a great catch up.

We usually enjoy the food at Brick Lane but when we went to the till to pay there was a sign saying there was a 15% surcharge for Labour Day weekend. The charge is questionable in itself because it's Sunday not the Labour Day Monday and they don't usually charge surcharge on Sunday. On top of this the sign is an A4 piece of paper at the till which you wouldn't see until after you've purchased and eaten your meal. No sign at the door or mentioned by the servers. Disappointed with the individual experience but we'll be back as we like the food and service usually

If you miss out at eating here you are doing yourself an extreme disservice! I highly recommend the Chili Corn Waffles! What a unique and flavorful dish. Service is pretty good too, we were seated pretty quickly despite the crowd. They also have a cool feature on the menu where you can see pictures of the food on your cell phone prior to ordering. The prices are 15-20 bucks for breakfast but the value is certainly there. The food is well prepared with generous portions. I found someone’s wallet at the restaurant and the staff gave us free coffees. Nice!

Great little Cafe nestled in a typical Melbourne lane way. All the food we saw come out looked very well presented. We ordered the chilli corn waffles and it was delicious. Coffee was also really good, which is a must for any Cafe that wants to do well and become popular.

Nice little place that isn’t overly busy. The service was great and the food was also very good. Prices were good too. Would come again :)

Nice , cosy place with a good brunch menu and true to Melbournian style hidden in a beautiful lane. Easy to recommend.

Nice place. Absolutely lovely mushroom omelette, unfortunately not always on the menu. Egg beni are a bit tasteless. No ham and cheese croissant on weekends, or rarely. Orange juice is a bit sour. Coffee is good as well as a service. I would mainly recommend this place for their specials of the day and a nice location.

Great find in a lane, you walk in and it was bustling !! The food and customer service was great 👍 We are a family of 4 with teenagers and we all enjoyed lunch here. I had the slow roasted lamb salad and it was delicious 😋

Salmon Benedict is delicious! Nestled in the most beautiful laneway in the Melbourne CBD is this great cafe. Friendly staff, and delicious food. Wouldn't definitely recommend.

My experience here was beautiful. I had the chilli scrambled eggs. It had a lovely kick to it and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The staff were angels and very helpful. You can tell they are experienced and seasoned workers. Strongly recommend to come try the food and coffee if you are in Melbourne.

What can I say... the food is consistently amazing. The whole meal waffles is my addiction. Whatever I order they all taste excellent.♡♡ was happy to see Ash(I may be wrong with the name) again. Haven't seen him for awhile. (He offered me a croissant when I was down a couple years ago :D )

Brick Lane (by Rustica?) was a nice brunch place in Melbourne CBD with its wooden-themed, modern setting. We had their coffee, chilli scrambled eggs, and waffle with peanut butter mascarpone, jam, salted caramel. The coffee was lovely, the chilli scrambled eggs was delicious and generous in portion, the waffle was pretty good too and not too sweet (although wouldn’t have been better if it wasn’t wholemeal I think!). Overall, Brick Lane was another great option for brunch.

Went there early for breakfast. Decent food - got the spicy eggs on sourdough and wholemeal waffles. Coffee was good too. (They hosted some office team bfast at the time we were there and it felt like I was in a night club...so loud)

Monday 11:30 am: Came into a pretty packed venue and we (2) were seated straight away. I was greeted with a smile from the wait staff as I passed through - small action, but it made an impact. The coffee was exceptional. The food was exceptional. The communication in the kitchen was outstanding, the guy sending out the food didn't miss a beat and our waiter(s) anticipated everything we needed at the perfect time.

Really awesome vibe inside a brick alleyway with brick buildings and potted plants decorated everywhere. As you enter the building it's quite a warm and inviting ambience with the rustic brick and wood layout. The seating is comfortable and there's plenty of different seating options to choose from, if a little bit cramped. But nothing to really complain about. My companion really liked his freshly squeezed orange juice. It was fresh and refreshing and cold. There are many breakfast items to choose from and you can alter the plate to add as many sides as you want. Lots of vegetarian options to choose from. The mushrooms and spinach were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Very fresh and delicious. The chilli corn waffles were fresh and crispy and beautifully presented on the plate. The bread was toasted nicely and the butter was yummy and creamy. The flavour was a bit lacking however. The coffees were pretty good but definitely not the best but still really nice. The coffee art on top is really artfully presented with different pictures which is nice. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and attentive and happy to help with whatever you need. Overall this place is really awesome for a chillaxed laid back breakfast or lunch with coffee and drinks.

Services was terrible. Go with a dog, so we are sitting outside. Waited for half an hour to be seated on weekend which is normal on Sunday. After food served for half an hours, waitress came to ask if they can clear the table, and left the bill on our table. The food is great, but if you wanna enjoy some times in a cafe, it is not a good option.
