Average coffee, ordered a Mocha and double shot Mocha and was really bland. No idea why my workplace keeps ordering from these folks for our staff :( Barista Cafe, League and 65 Degrees are heaps better in terms of taste. Heck even Jack Sprat is somewhat better.

Well what can I say? I have been to a very large number of coffee shops around the city and then I came across Decoy. Well coffee shop hunting is over! Shop owners Bill and Chris are very passionate about their food and coffee. I am very fussy about coffee and I can say once you try their coffee, you will be hooked!☕

We had early breakfast here before a flight and it was great. Even though it says it opens at 6 they were serving at 5:45. The vego breakfast appeared a little pricey at 18, but turns out it's really big. And delicious. They were roasting coffee on site and the finished product was excellent. And even at 6 AM the staff was warm and inviting. Great spot.

$14.8 for a passable double espresso and a bacon and egg roll. Seemed unbelievable, but they confirmed the order and the price. Roll is listed at $7.5 so that’s a $7.3 espresso!

The place for coffee snobs. Decoy Cafe is synonymous for great coffee, the cafe is bright, the staff friendly and attentive with great coffee made from coffee beans roasted on site. The food quality is excellent and well presented. A great choice for breakfast lunch or just a quick coffee.

Great coffee, roasted onsite, served by friendly staff, and open early. What more can you want from a cafe?

Went there to try it out, was very busy and am informed this is normal every day, service was great, excellent coffee and great food. Will certainly go back and most likely become a regular.

Always a good start to the morning popping in to this gem on the way to work. Great service friendly and those quiches are amazing. Coffee is spot on every time.

Travelling down from North QLD I was excited to be amongst the Cafe culture in Melbourne. I have to say I didn't really see what the hype was all about, everyone seemed to have something stuck up a place that no thing should be stuck (without expressed consent first). Until I walked into Decoy Cafe. FINALLY, I thought to myself, someone who knows how to communicate with other human beings in a friendly conversational way. See Mebournites, you live in an amazing place but so many of you are stuck in this hyper focused, tense, shut off way of living. A tip from a Queenslander? Chill out...be more like the 2 2 guy who operate Decoy Cafe in such a warm and welcoming way. Oh, the coffee and Bacon & Egg rolls? 🤌🤌🤌

I love this place. The coffee is great and people are super kind. I had the chef omelet today and it was amazing one.

This place has amazing fruit toast! I miss all the paintings though. I feel like the upstairs part is a lot more echo-y now too. Maybe if they put some art up or some fabric tapestries it would stop the echo!

I have eaten here a half dozen times during lunch break. The food has always been delicious and the coffee was good. The Staff has also been friendly and helpful, even directing me to a different cafe the one day that I was looking for something not on their menu. Will definitely return again. Sorry about the pic, I couldn't stop myself from eating a bit first!
