Was introduced to Melbourne Yoga and Pilates (MYP) by a friend and did two private group classes (pilates & HIIT) with my friends. Both of the experiences were great and we had a good time! I then became more interested doing a private training with MYP after getting to more about the services/ programs they offer. I've been to gym classes and other yoga & Pilates studios but did not pick up proper techniques as I have always been in group classes (trying to catch up on the class flow with everyone) which resulted in a lower back injury in 2019. I can feel the difference now after just 4 mths of PT sessions with Wynter at MYP, with workouts tailored to my personal goals and ensuring that my technique is spot on. I also learnt how to manage my old back injury and be more aware of my body postures. Wynter is very passionate and dedicated to her work. Even though she pushes me hard, I walk away after each session feeling encouraged and strong!

I have been going to MYP for a few years, my health is better and have more energy thanks to their professional team who cares about postures, forms and our wellbeing. Especially Wynter, Jacqueline, Eleena, Adam and Harley!

They told me they could sign me up for on-going weekly 1 on 1 sessions, I turn up to three different trainers for three different sessions and get told they don't have any consistent times/trainers available it's all just whatever random trainer is free at a random time during the week. Do not recommend if you want to see the same person at the same time each week.

One star is for the Cancellation Policy. Had been a regular weekly client since a couple of months ago and had one cancellation last week as bub and I were really ill, we had to cancel the session within the 24 hour window. I booked in an extra session to make up for the cancellation, however at the end of the session I was told that I needed to pay a cancellation fee for the previously cancelled session. It was the first time I had to cancel within the 24 hour window, and was shocked that I was demanded to pay the cancellation fee which happens to be the full price of the PT session. For a business that promotes health and wellbeing, it is upsetting when you are penalised for cancelling a session due to unforeseen sickness. I assume they would rather you show up being unwell and spread your germs to other trainers/clients than miss a session. Unfortunately, I will never go back or recommend this business to anyone. Business will always be a business and it is always about the money.

I am glad to have visited Melbourne Yoga and Pilates. I am used to doing HIIT workouts but doing Pilates at Melbourne Yoga and Pilates is a whole new different challenge. I have managed to recover from my injuries easily and continue training. My exercise physiologist also educates me on muscles and activation so I can have more effective workouts to reach my goals.

Personal training with Danilo has made such a difference to my strength and stability, particularly alongside Lilli’s Pilates instruction. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Working with Harley Makin at Melbourne Yoga and Pilates has enabled a spectacular turn around in my overall health using body strengthening exercises to overcome chronic fatigue and the inability to loose weight. They are a fun, inventive and positive team to work with using ZOOM to replace normal exercise sessions during the darker days of the pandemic. Everything is always about a good health result be it exercise, attitude and all other aspects of physiology. I can highly recommend the MYP team Thanks Steve

I have tried many different types of gyms and classes, and it was only after joining MYP with their personalised 1 on 1 training (my choice) that is tailored to what suits me best that I have had continued success in achieving my health and wellbeing goals. I've enjoyed these sessions so much that I continued with them over Zoom during lockdowns and have even enjoyed learning pilates after not enjoying it in the past. I highly recommend MYP for their tailored 1 on 1 sessions and their friendly, personable, well qualified trainers.

I’ve been going to Melbourne Yoga and Pilates for the last 3 years, attending both private and group sessions with a number of the excellent specialist trainers there, after a recommendation from my remedial therapist to manage my back issues, running injuries and other fitness needs. My back has improved immensely, my running times have improved and it’s a great, fun environment after a long day at work. I’m going more often than ever, love their work!

I have had great results from working with Harley at Melbourne Yoga and Pilates. I had never seen an exercise physiologist before going to this clinic, but quickly became aware that the entire MYP team consists of top notch practitioners. Harley took the time to really understand my condition, and developed targeted, progressing exercises to address it, while ensuring that I was never bored with my program and that I was being challenged as well as getting the appropriate rehabilitation for my condition. I’m impressed by how closely Harley monitors my progress, making tailored adjustments as needed. During the pandemic, the MYP team has been extremely helpful, doing sessions with me by Zoom and lending me equipment to use at home, so that my progress did not stall. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice, whether you want to optimise your performance or address a niggling injury.

Highly recommend this studio for someone looking for personal training. The instructors are very professional and very caring. My fitness and strength has improved so much since i started training and they continue to challenge me. I love training here. They vibe is great, the community is great. The support they have for the clients is excellent, would not go anywhere else.

My GP referred me to Melbourne Yoga and Pilates. The tailored exercise program has been fantastic. It suits my ability and needs. During lockdown, I can still enjoy my exercise through Zoom. Very professional and friendly.

I had a private Yoga lesson with Jaqueline, I highly recommend this personal lesson for Yoga beginners, I had been to some classes but at entry it is very important someone can teach by side and she was very lovely and a great instructor who lead me to Yoga life! Thanks so much Jaqueline! :)

I was referred by my GP to work with the exercise physiologists at Melbourne Yoga and Pilates. I have previously seen other physios and EPs but have been unsuccessful at resolving my injuries. After 3 months at MYP, I feel the strongest that I have ever felt, my back is pain free and I am looking forward to working on some big surfing goals with my practitioner.

I have been with Melbourne Yoga and Pilates for 18month after I was referred by my doctor. Previously I was very unfit and lockdown made it worse. I also struggled with motivation. I participate in the small clinical group classes and love them. They are tailored to what you need. I am now stronger and fitter, even through the lockdowns. Training on a regular basis has also helped my mental health as well. I really enjoy my weekly sessions with Molly, she is fantastic!

I was referred to MYP by my GP a couple of years ago. Since then I have been training at MYP every week, with a home exercise program I follow outside of sessions. The motivation and support to get me to do this has been excellent. The whole team is incredibly supportive and friendly and now as we approach the end of 2021 I do my exercises very consistently and am getting stronger. I also generally have less aches and pains, have more flexibility and I am fittest I have been for a very long time. I highly recommend them!

I have been attending personal training sessions at MYP for well over a year now and highly recommend it! The atmosphere is friendly and professional. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and widely experienced. My strength and conditioning have greatly improved. The support and advice I have received as I start my journey of trying to become a triathlete has been second to none!

After going to Melbourne Yoga and Pilates for less than a year, I have achieved a very big goal of getting up off the floor unassisted under their expert guidance. This is amazing. Through face to face and zoom sessions they have been able to meet my needs while encouraging and inspiring me to keep moving forward. My workouts have been tailored to my abilities while helping me to gain strength and confidence. They have even lent me equipment through the pandemic which has given me time to get my own for my zoom sessions. They have been diligent through the pandemic keeping on top of sanitising and making it safe for all who attend. I am looking forward to the next instalment in my journey towards and stronger and happier me. I highly recommend their services.

I love working with Wynter as my Pilates trainer at this studio. She is very experienced and able to adapt and select exercises to fit my particular needs. I have several injuries and limitations of which Wynter is conscious, but able to find exactly the exercises which help. She is motivating and over the last three years has helped me build consistency and routine, with which I have increased my muscle strength and overall fitness. Whether in person or online, Wynter's exercise regime is always exactly targeted, and she is able to offer the right set of classes through her supportive team. She also works together with my osteopath through detailed documentation and communication, so that everything is coordinated. I am very glad to have found Melbourne Yoga and Pilates.
