As mentioned by other reviews, I experienced racism last week when the bouncer would not let me and my friend from India in. He was inflammatory and disrespectful. We tried again last night and again were immediately denied entry for no reason. I was then physically assulted by this guy and he knocked my phone from my hand and damaged it. I used to enjoy this place before experiencing this behaviour.

First time i have witnessed racism. We were waiting in line next to a couple of Indian guys for about half an hour. There were only 6 of us waiting, 2 of us were caucasian. We were all given notice it would be another 15 or so. The bouncers were very insistent that the Indian guys should move on. When it came to the time we could enter Another caucasian couple had joined behind in the Indian guys. The 2 of us were given the clear but the bouncers told the rudely insisted the Indian guys had to move on and let the couple in instead! Then to add to insult bouncers proceeded to let in a group of caucasian boys moments later. From the start there was obvious Racism. From the way they spoke to the guys at the start to the point they were turned away after allowing us to wait all that time. They Indian guys did nothing wrong. So rude So despicable Especially when they charge a $15 door fee. We all pay to enter and should be treated equally!

Amateur bouncer that thinks he knows how to recognise drunkenness, and decided that I'm drunk. Good club, but its a shame that the bouncer reflects Revellers poorly, and gave a bad impression. I won't be coming back.

Very unfriendly security, been here a couple of times and found them to be rude to patrons, think they just don't like there jobs, seem to cause more trouble than they are worth,

This place has huge potential, the staff are reasonable,they are doing their job can't complain. Music was average, maybe I was in on a wrong night, the infrastructure is commendable and the crowd is welcoming❤️

Unfortunately, not recommended. I came with my friends, boys and girls to spend the rest of the night. Because I was at the end of the line, and that I was with my two friends (boys), the bouncer found out that we were too much of males. At first, I thought he was joking, but he was bloody serious when he said "you guys are not getting in tonight!". I felt rejected unfairly. I called my mates, and we all went out to the opposite pub, Lady Land! Please Revellers Bar, revise your policy, or train your staff to be more gentle. Thank you

Incredibly rude and incompetent bouncer. Apparently I had had too much to drink (hint: I don't drink - I haven't drank in about 5 years). Where do you find these people? Genuinely interested.

Place is pretty great n stuff but thiers are a alot of dinosaurs in Thier so just be carefull incase your allergic that's all

Came with a group of 8 and we won’t be back. The guy behind the bar literally had a melt down when we asked for shots. Is that so uncommon? He needs some customer service /attitude training. If this was my business he’d be kicked.

Worst place ever! Security staff make this experience an absolute horror! The attitude from them from the moment when u walk up to the front is a disgrace! The owners should mystery shop the quality of security and get feedback,they would be horrified

Mad place with blue drinks - probably a bit too old for this place though :)

Love the intimate club. Small cozy size allows you to get friendly with the crowd. Very nice. If you're into mainstream party music this is where you should go

Im biased, but this is a stomping ground of my girlfriend and I've been there a few times. 90s rock mostly with some mashups. It's really quite a fun little place. The do charge a cover though.

So there is something definitely wrong with this venue whether it is the bouncers or instructions from the owner. I was there about two hours ago and one of the bouncers asked me to pay 5 dollars to get in whilst the other shorter one decided I was not to be let in and his reason was that I was by myself. I live in Brisbane and was only in Melbourne for a few days, so it cant be because of a past history with the venue. So let us delve in deeper shall we; - I had not had a drop of alcohol. - I was dressed as an English Gent, braces, hat, boots etc. I was dressed better than every one who who was let in infront of me. - I am black - I was wearing Tom Ford Tuscany leather perfume. - I was incredibly polite to the bouncers. Can any one please explain to me why I was not let in, was it a black thing? I did read reviews of the place before I got there and there was quite a few reviews alluding to the same last point I made. The behaviour was very disappointing for a venue that exists in our current century. What kind of training do these bouncers have?

Free entry if you go early and really lovely staff and security :) small venue but good tunes and good vibe!

I paid 15 bucks to enter and was asked to leave in a while because apparently I was misbehaving with the girls. I am so unhappy as I was innocently dancing by myself but was thrown out for no reason. I guess not a good place for brown people.

The bar is good value. The music is cheesy. It's sad that this place is a magnet for sleazy douche bags though.

Went there last weekend and the door female guard was rude, has worst attitude. Never go back to this place.

Great music but it’s a shame that the place is so dangerously overpopulated you can’t even move, people pushing into you, drinks spilling over you because it’s too packed. $15 entry fee for our friend to be told after 4 drinks that she was cut off the bar,she was not drunk and was not at all visibly drunk (man next to her eyes half closed was served a blue drink in a super cup ) . Not sure how you could even get drunk her anyway as the bourbon tastes like water. Would not recommend, plenty of other places alone chapel

The new door security is amazing, he was so friendly and even invited us in! Compared to the last guy this was a welcome change! Will definitely be back for drinks and a good time with no judgement. We’re on chapel street, and this guy understood the assignment, thank you for getting rid of that last security person who was homophobic and racist he was also ridiculously cocky, and this new guy was humble and amazing! You did good revellers, keep up the good work!

Last experience terrible though and had a rather homophobic bouncer whom has now been moved on, walked past with no intention of going in and the new lovely people were welcoming and inviting and while were not keen this eve invited us back anytime. Good work are u open for brunch?

Ridiculously overpriced drinks. Only come here if you enjoy burning money. $18 for a pint of average beer is a complete rip-off
