Customer service is non existent and terrible. I went at a quiet time to enquire about the function space. I stood at the bar and watched 3 bar staff work on one order for about 5-10 minutes before walking out. Not one of them acknowledged my partner and I standing there nor did they want to service us. What a cold environment! I am glad it happened made my mind up very quick, not a place I want to throw my money at. Would never recommend!!

An incident happened here while I was at a function. The security did their job professionally and Ted, the bartender did an amazing job. Both of these people deserve a pat on the back. The incident sucked but they were great props to them. Seriously , Ted rules.

Absolutely sensational! We booked an event in the upstairs function room and everything was perfect. The night ran smoothly, the atmosphere was gorgeous, the food was brilliant and the bar staff George and Aiden were professional, friendly and super helpful. It made our night stress free and we could focus on having a great time!

We had our daughter’s 18th downstairs in The Den. It was a fantastic venue and all staff were delightful to deal with both prior to and on the night. Would highly recommend!

I had my 50th Birthday upstairs at Maeve Fox. The staff were amazing all the way through from booking and organising the event, and the bar staff that absolutely had a ball with us all on the night. The space was perfect with the two rooms as well. thank you :)

Maeve Fox, one of my favorite cocktail bars. Staff very knowledgeable and great at the simple stuff like slinging a VLS or VLC but also can do complex cocktails. Venue always very clean and rearly d**kheads in the Bar. favorite night for me is Sundays Half Price drinks!!

Hosted my birthday party in the Den at Maeve Fox. It was the perfect private venue for my 35 guests and I had lots of compliments on my choice of venue. The staff were amazing. They also have a karaoke set up which is a lot of fun. Fab venue.

Will is the most polite and respectful gentleman ever. Alongside this he served amazing drinks with a smile on his face the whole time. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone, whether travelling through Melbourne or locals. Bartender Will made the night! Thanks for having us!

This venue is absolutely incredible for a function. Maeve Fox hosted a group of 65 of my friends on Saturday night and EVERYTHING from the event organisation, set up, food, staff and venue set up was impeccable. This is by far the best event venue space in Richmond and I could not recommend more to those looking for a great time!

The Bar snack dumplings are some of the best dumplings I’ve had in Melbourne!! We booked a work function here a while ago which was flawless, and I’ve been coming back here ever since. Ps. Love it here. Sundays half price drinks is awesome. As well as the $1 dumplings on Friday. The lads forgot some of the dumplings but were apologetic so no worries! Can’t wait to be back

Incredible service and best bar on Church Street. They accidentally double booked us on a Saturday night for a birthday and instead of sending us away, the event manager, Chrissy, opened the private room upstairs to accommodate us. Not only did it have great views, but we could put on our own tunes and had a private bar with bartender, Sarah, who was an absolute legend. Can’t recommend this place enough, we had so much fun!

Had my 21st here, and couldn't recommend Maeve Fox highly enough! The booking process, getting information and communication with the team in the lead up was so easy. Came on Sunday afternoon to try their half price drinks, and it was definitely worthwhile! Ordered two cocktails which were $12 each after the discount. The only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the couches/booths at the back - they all seemed a bit dirty, probably because it was right after a busy Saturday night.

Sorry, incredible bartenders, however the security staff was extremely rude. I was never mistreated in a bar the way I was here. I did a bad move when trying to call my friend to a booth that was available (i got up on the booth as the place was extremely packed, so then my friends could see me and come over). I was advised by security that it was not allowed, which is understandable. But even when I was trying to explain, even when I was saying sorry, the guy was so rude! Cursing and aggressive, when I was trying to apologize. Bad bad experience!

Went here on Sunday and they have half price cocktails! I had 3x Cocktails and they were all good and great for the price! Only thing I would complain about is with all three cocktails they just add way too much ice which just taste like watered down alcohol. However the Long Island iced tea cocktail was nice.

Hosted my birthday at MF on the weekend and it was nothing short of a good time! Food and drinks were on point and all guests complimented that the venue was perfect. Staff were welcoming and attentive even when it was busy. A big shoutout to the young female staff member working behind the bar. She was running around serving food and drinks all afternoon with a smile on her face! Highly recommend hosting an event here.

Fox has a great function space upstairs with city views. Allowed me in to the venue earlier in the day to set up lighting and photo booth. Had a blast of a birthday with fantastic food and service from the bar staff throughout the night. Disappointed they didn't have one beer we had requested and that we had to pack up the AV equipment at the end of the night. (Would have loved to sort that out the next day.) All in all- we had an epic party and enjoyed the ample space across the two rooms (especially post Covid.) Thanks

Me and a few mates stumbled across Maeve Fox on a Sunday evening after a small walk from the MCG. Found that they do great deals being half price Sunday’s. We were more than happy to stay for cocktails which turned out to be amazing and even got hot food too for a great price. The venue was very nice and clean, and the staff were very accomodating and fun. Will definitely be returning.

Menu pricing wasn't quite right but not by enough to cause a fuss. drinks were made well and quickly. Would have preferred to sit down and hear the conversation around my table, but that's just expected with the bar scene now.

Had my birthday celebrations here during the most difficult of COVID times and these guys were brilliant. Simon was extremely helpful and accommodating to all of my groups needs. Highly recommend this venue, not to mention the huge selection of beverages. If I could give this place 100 stars I would 😎

Came here for a cocktail masterclass for a Hen's and we had an absolute ball!! We were well looked after by all the staff and their main focus was definitely providing a great experience for our group. The cocktails and masterclass were so much fun and I'd definitely come back here for another event or to have a beautiful cocktail. The venue was also gorgeous! Thanks for having us!

We had our social networking function last night upstairs at Maeve Fox and it was a great success! The functions manager was so friendly, helpful and accommodating to all our needs before the event, making it a really easy process to organise. The staff on the night were great too, the location has lots of public transport links and the bar itself is cool and chic.

Had a function upstairs and it was fantastic. Staff were friendly and the food was amazing. The use of the two rooms was also handy as you could move into a more quiet space if you wanted to.

Had a baby shower here. Was a really nice place. Finger food was great and the drinks were good. Only thing I’d say is they used a touch to much ice in there drinks and after 2 sips it was empty. Recommend for functions definitely 👍🏻

We hired upstairs for a 40th birthday. The food was excellent. Our bar tab lasted a very long time. The staff were helpful and friendly. The sound system was very good. Organising the function was easy. We appreciated being able to walk in with a minimum of fuss and party!

Hi, I'd like to say how delighted we were with the Maeve Fox upstairs private function area for my 60th birthday party on Saturday night 18th May. Zoe was fantastic to communicate with in the organisation of the event, from arranging viewing of the venue to organising the choice of food, drinks, music, balloons and photos. The two rooms - bar area and the elegant sitting room worked very well indeed for our group of about 60 people. It allowed people to enjoy dancing in the bar area where a DJ set up, but also allowed people to relax and talk easily in the sitting room. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar area itself has a great atmosphere with windows offering city views. The toilets were very clean and there was an area for hanging coats. We uploaded some photos on dropbox which were shown continuously on a screen in the bar room. Last but not least of course, the food! It was delicious - plenty of variety and quality. Also the quality of the alcohol on offer was very good and reasonably priced. So a big thank you from my husband and I again to the staff for helping to make the occasion a great success! I just celebrated my 40 th birthday ‘Flashy and Forty’ last Sunday night at the beautiful Maeve Fox function in the upstairs space. I would like to have a big shout to Teash and Simon and team for making my 40th event so special. Everyone enjoyed the delicious catering and they kept complimenting on the variety of food that covered all dietary requirements. Both spaces we effective so if people wanted to move away from the bar area where music was playing they could go into the lounge area which allowed for more conversations. Thank you also to Zoe the event manager who was extremely organised and showed great professionalism and support over last few months in making the event a success. A very enjoyable night had by all. Will be back for sure 5 stars *****

Visited this place for the first time last Sunday and I've got to say I was extremely impressed with the impeccable service we were given by the enthusiastic staff members. I really appreciate the time, effort, care and attention to detail I saw the staff taking when preparing our cocktails. Not only is the bar a nice and vibrant place to catch up with mates, and the half price drinks Sunday a really nice deal which made me check out the place in the first place, but what I'm paying for is also of top quality. While they nailed all our cocktails, my favourite cocktail (the Negroni) was made with the utmost care and tasted amazing! Great to see staff who are dedicated to their craft. I could not recommend Maeve Fox highly enough. We had our daughter's 21st there on Saturday night and everything was so well organised leading up to the event which made the night itself run so smoothly. Taya in the office answered all my questions and queries making sure everything was so well organised for a great night. On the night the bar staff, George and Connor were so attentive, friendly and helpful. Quite a few guests also commented on what lovely friendly staff they were. Fantastic atmosphere, great place for a party. The food was delicious - especially the sausage rolls! All the food was a good 'bite size' for a cocktail party. We took our own cake which they then cut up and handed around after the candles were blown out. We probably didn't need as many balloons or decorations as there is such a lovely view out the windows anyway. Fantastic venue and we all loved it. Thank you

I attended Maeve Fox for my daughter’s Hen’s Party and the experience was wonderful. The venue, the staff, the service and the food were all top notch. And our host Simon was first class. Simon gets an 11/10 from me, the Mother of the Bride 👌

I had my 40th birthday there and it was a 11/10 night. The service, venue and food were excellent. Everyone had an amazing time and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this venue for any celebration.

Bouncers here were the rudest blokes I’ve ever encountered. The way they spoke to a 19 year old girl was disgusting! They kicked her out of the line for simply saying “what” when they had said something to her. They made out as if she was trying to cause trouble when she hadn’t drawn any attention to herself and wasn’t even drunk. They had a chip on their shoulder and wanted to just abuse their power. Instead of making 19 year old girls cry they should be protecting vulnerable young girls and making it a safe environment for everyone not trying to cause issues for no reason.

Great little bar, lovely spaces. Did the cocktail making class for my hens and it was so relaxed but fun. Great team behind the bar and worked around catering for dietaries. Thanks for helping to make it amazing!
