overpriced. food was microwaved garbage that was clearly from the frozen section of woolies/coles yet they charge 20 dollars for chips and 20 for spring rolls. missing lots of songs and artists, seems primarily focused on a non english speaking customer base. the security receptionist were intimidating and confrontational. the mics died far before our time was up. would not recommend. very bad vibes altogether.

It's ok. Drinks are realy expensive. The beers on the pictures costed €10 a beer! When you rent a karaoke room you've got to pay $35 p/person and you'll get two drinks of the list (see picture). The beers aren't realy good and the other drinks are expensive. Good tip, take the combo package. 2 beers and a bottle of ricewine for $20. The music variaty is pretty big tho.

Had a very poor experience here. Both microphones died about 20 minutes in, they didn't have many popular karaoke songs, the system was hard to use and would only show some artists/songs if we used the handwriting option?? Food was expensive and very poor quality, which is to be expected from any karaoke place but this was exceptionally bad. Just go to KBOX instead.

My friends and I had a terrible experience. First of all the karaoke machine was not user friendly whatsoever, majority of the music was completely outdated and lacked any artists. Secondly the audio quality was terrible the microphone would ring every time you would make a vocal sound into the microphone and you could not hear the instrumentals of the music you were singing to. Thirdly we ordered $60 worth of fried chicken when the chicken was served it was frozen cold potentially causing severe salmonella food poisoning which is an occupational health and safety hazard to the general public. I would definitely not recommend this place for an outing as it is a waste of time and a waste of money terrible experience and would never come back ever again. I strongly advise for everybody to avoid this place like the plague we are currently experiencing in this present moment. The only thing that was semi decent was the toilet I was able to clear my bowels in a semi clean environment with two ply toilet paper which was convenient although was a terrible experience.

Song selector was a bit strange - wouldn't let us pick songs using the search function. Pricing was alright.

No back up track, remote only in Korean, touch screen doesn't work, leather on the chair falling apart, song list about 1 year behind at least so no new popular songs, the room disco light doesn't work so you either sing in the dark or just normal and boring light, no mic cover, had to go to another room to 'steal' their tambourine because our room didn't have any. The only good things are friendly staff, drinks serve a bit faster, and it's on the slightly cheaper end compared to other karaoke places in the city now.

I don't normally given 1 star reviews and I have had nicer experiences at this venue previously but after a recent stay there I don't think I will anymore. Went there with a bunch of friends on a Thursday night, not too busy, at its peak I saw maybe only only two other groups apart from us. Ordered some drinks which came in glass bottles and one accidentally broke on the floor. One of use picked up the larger shards to stop us stepping on it. When we told the staff about it they said they would "clean it up later". But no one came. So for the last few hours until closing there was pieces of broken glass on the floor which we were stepping on that staff didn't clean up. Food is okay but goes cold quick so best to eat it as soon as they put it down and cocktails are kind of expensive. Song list could be a bit more updated Also they stop allowing you to sing at 12:45, although closing is at 1:00am :(

i just want to say a huge thanks to the manager here and his team. they were all super cooperative and able to help me out with my corporate outing. i owe it to them for making the night run so smoothly and my colleagues all enjoyed their time here. will definitely be returning!! great selection of songs, facilities were clean and well functioning, service was quick and efficient. bonus points for being friendly and funny too :))

Great place, it was really affordable for students and came with two free drinks. The system was hard to choose songs because we had to use the handwriting thing as the keyboard didn't allow lowercase. The mics died twice for us but they changed the batteries pretty quickly. Having been to multiple karaoke venues in Melbourne, I would have to say that Mui is one of the best. Prior to our event, the staff was extremely helpful with organising the booking. They were prompt and clear with email communication and provided many options for the night. Once we arrived in the venue and were shown the room, all of the attendants were blown away by the quality of the karaoke rooms! We had a large room for a party of 15, equipped with a high-tech karaoke machine, laser lights, a large seated space and even a private bathroom in the room. The drinks were fairly priced for large jugs and the food was very tasty. The staff were so attentive and really made the experience great. Thank you Mui Karaoke for the fantastic night! I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Flight got delayed so was stranded in Melbourne on a late Sun evening with nowhere to store our luggage, so made a few calls to ktvs in the area to ask who could accommodate us at a reasonable price. The friendly staff gave us a bigger room so we could stay and sing comfortably while we waited out the couple of hours. Huge shout-out to Simon for helping to lug our luggage up to the ktv which is on the second floor!!! Thank you! :)

Our flight was delayed so we had a couple of hours to kill, decided to head to Mui and it was a such a great decision. The staff there were friendly and helpful, especially Simon, who even helped us to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs! Karaoke system was easy to use, songs selection were decent, room was big and comfy. Great experience overall!

I actually give this venue no stars. My daughter and her friends had booked a private room for a birthday. They are all vision impaired and when they arrived they were refused entry on the grounds 3 of them had Guide Dogs. She had booked a private room to ensure the environment was not overwhelming for these highly trained dogs. This is not only illegal but appalling discrimination. The patronising and condescending attitude of the manager wreaked of ableism and ignorance.

Well worth the price. Good environment, clean toilet, spacious room, friendly service, wide selection of songs. The only thing that can be improved a little bit would be the stereo and food.

Took the family for an early booking. The staff were really friendly and helped us navigate the system. The kids loved the free soft drinks but had less polite things to say about my singing. Great night out.

Very fine place. The music selection could use an update but I had a blast none the less. The person paying for the large group hadn't arrived but they let us in to start the shenanigans as we waited. With the right songs this place can be a righteous decision.

Been here for the 2nd time and Mui karaoke is probably the only karaoke in Melbourne that is clean, new, filled with almost all the latest songs in many languages. It’s value for money too and The people who work here are friendly and very helpful. I don’t know what my friend and I did but we got two free hours extra after singing for 4 hours. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back for more. (:

Pretty good selection of songs, but the machine was nit explained to us and a bit difficult to figure out the different settings. As fot drinks, cocktails seemed a little small for what they are.

Friendly staff however the room was freezing with challenges to control the air-con and there was not a huge variety of song/artist choices compared to other places.

Found this place on Google map with relatively high rating after a few kareoke places we wanted to go to is full (k box). Fair pricing. $35 pp for 2 hrs with 2 drinks. This is one of the few places around the city that offer short kareoke sessions with hourly rates (suitable for those who's not sure if they want to commit an entire night with a group of ?friends in a small closed room). Great song selection. I did an English kareoke sessions and a Chinese one, and the song banks had all the song I was looking for Facility is good. Sound quality is good. Doesn't have an option to do sound adjustment ie. Less base, more treble. Do have a Korean restaurant downstairs that you can order food to bring up. (KFC and beer anyone?) Overall really enjoyed it, convenient and budget friendly. Definitely making this place a usual.

They've got a pretty up-to-date list of songs. You should be able to find most of the hit songs here. A few oldies missing here and there but nothing too major. Karaoke system is easy to use. Rooms are nice and clean. Sound system is good. Although it is a bit more on the pricier end than other karaoke venues, they make up for it with their cleanliness and service. I would suggest adding more to the menu because drunk people love snacking! Also, a credit package like other venues with larger bookings should be an option for patrons. Overall experience was good. I would definitely come back.

Mui has renovated the area and it is a huge improvement! I have been to my fair share of karaoke places: Kbox (cafe and bar), Party World, and Rainbow karaoke. Mui is probably my favourite with Kbox Cafe. It offers a huge range of updated English songs since the upgrade. You will find Billy Eilish, Dance Monkey, and Disney songs including the ones form the first Frozen movie. I was looking for new songs for Frozen 2 but weren't on there yet. That wasnt a big deal considering I don't hear those songs enough to be able to sing them anyway. I didn't see many oldies; Olivia Newton-John was missing completely? That also wasn't a problem for my group as everyone wanted to sing the newer stuff, but I recommend adding classic songs to cater to everyone. The system is very easy to use and it's in English! You can download the app on your phone and select songs right from your phone so you don't have to get up and select! The playlist of selected songs won't show up on your phone, so you still have to go to the touch screen to check what songs are coming up. It was very affordable as it's $35 for two hours+ on a Saturday night. They gave us extra time so that was a sweet deal! Two soft drinks/beers were included in the deal. I recommend adding ice tea as singing hurts your throat and soft drinks won't help you. You can purchase it on top though. Customer service was very attentive and were pretty funny! Since Kbox Bar renovated, I couldn't find a lot of songs they previously had and the sound system had too much tenor, we all sounded high-pitched when we sang into the mics. I was very disappointed so I am glad Mui has impressed me and I will be returning for sure! The only real downside is that our room smelt like cigarettes. That's a pity considering their rooms are so clean. They probably need to enforce the no smoking policy. Definitely give Mui a try if you haven't already!
