😐 The interior of vacation is one of my favourite café, but not the coffee. I personally don't like pineapple or too much tropical fruits flavour in my coffee. The decor was vibrant and the location was great that you can sit down and enjoy the first sunshine in the morning. I will try some iced coffe... Had a flat white and it was decent; coffee was mild and not milky but lacked some depth of flavour

A solid brunch spot but not the best in Melbourne. Fun little cafe with a range of coffees but limited food options. We had the banana chocolate toast and the strawberry peanut butter toast. Both were tasty but expensive for what it was and the bread was a little underwhelming. Coffee was tasty and views were good. Overall 4 stars seems reasonable.

The coffee here is consistently fantastic. Great brews. Perfectly executed milk coffee every time. Batch brew always interesting with different beans rotating through. The toasties are my Melbourne favourite (I cannot figure out what makes the chicken toastie so incredible, but it is!) Lovely location, with a very Melbourne view to the MCG and tennis centre (watch for AO players/crew during summer) Great team who have consistently followed all public health directions through the pandemic and supported their community in a super tough time for themselves with a smile and warmth.

Amazing!!! Came here for a quick breakfast one morning and was dying for a toastie. Got the chicken and jalapeno toastie and it was perfect! Crispy bread with a flavourful filling, and paired with their refreshing watermelon and mint juice - just a great breakfast! Highly recommend!

We were on a tour and the tour guide recommended them. We found out that flat white cofees were started here in Melbourne. It was the first time I tried one and it was delicious!

I've consistently chosen Vacation Coffee for my coffee fix during my visits to Melbourne, and without a doubt, it has become my go-to spot for the perfect iced latte. Unlike some places that tend to overdo it with a strong brew or others that go overboard on the milk, Vacation Coffee strike a balance, delivering a smooth and refreshing iced beverage every single time. The quality of their coffee is evident – a testament to the "vacation" it does indeed take you on. I genuinely look forward to returning to Melbourne, not just for the experience of the city but for the iced lattes at Vacation Coffee. If you share an enthusiasm for quality iced lattes, I highly recommend making a stop at this gem of a coffee spot!

Fantastic and super popular cafe, hidden on a corner right on the southern edge of the city cbd. The coffee is the best in the city! Super friendly service and tasty selection of food. And lovely retro pastel decor. Lots of table seating available. Definitely worthy of it's place on Broadsheet’s Best Coffee list 👍

I ordered filtered Ethiopia and it smelled really nice and tasted fantastic, so I was really satisfied with their coffee and refill service. Also I bought whole bean, too. If possible, I will definitely visit again.

Went there for breakfast. It was busy with lots of customers doing takeaway. It’s more like a coffee stop rather than a cafe. The coffee was way too smooth for my taste not enough depth, but I can see how some people like this style of coffee. The croissants were a bit stale though the chicken sandwiches was quite nice. Nice design of the shop but the walls are looking a bit grubby. It was a nice experience but slightly disappointing.

I was brought to Vacation along with my tour group, as one of the stops for our walking tour. The tour guide confidently recommended the place as one of the sure quality coffee shops in the CBD. After having a flat white here, I can confidently say that he is right. If you happen to be in the area of Exhibition Street corner Flinders Street, give Vacation a visit! It may be the quick vacation you need on a busy day.

Great little corner cafe, reminiscing Mexican architecture with pastel colours. Offering small tables with chairs, it's perfect for 2-3 mostly. Coffee is have in or take away. Option of toasties, sandwiches etc. Super reasonable prices on the menu, their avocado smash is interesting, but tasty. Coffee is fantastic and the staff are friendly.

There are too many cafes and high quality coffee in Melbourne. A small cup of coffee costs $5 and I'm not sure it's worth it. The taste is too weak, i couldn’t feel the aroma of the coffee beans😅 The interior is so pretty.

This place is amazing! We were visiting Melbourne for a trip where we ended up at Vacation twice. We normally eat at hotel buffets, but this time we didn't have the option. I have issues with lactose so I'm looking for a place with vegan options, but my parents would still like to have something with meat as an option. And Vacation provides exactly that, I really enjoyed the granola that I ate both times and the matcha latte (I think, it's pictured below) and banana peanut butter smoothie were really good as well. The seating arrangement for 3 or more people can get a little funky unless you get the only large table, but that was really the only downside for us. So if you're looking for a nice little cafe that has both vegan and non vegan options than this is the cafe for you!

Small, cosy stop-off for first-rate coffee. Drink in, or take out. The almond croissants are great too! Nick our friendly, efficient host is always around with a smile! We Will go back and back again!

Coffee is usually pretty good here, it’s my go to place near work. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Matcha not the best but 4/5 for coffee maybe 2/5 for the matcha 🥲

It's located near Flinders Street Station. When I drank a cup of coffee, I saw a pineapple design which is a symbol the bottom of a cup. The decor was so cute!!

Great little cafe with amazing service. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and to look after you. On entering we were greeted away from the counter, placed our order and then had the coffee in our hands not long after. On a second visit where we decided to stay in the cafe, we were offered still or sparkling water which was constantly topped up when running low. The coffee was also quite nice, would definitely visit here again.

Delicious "fancy" toast including nice GF bread option. Coffee was top notch. Not a huge amount of space to sit inside but enough to perch and enjoy. Would recommend.

Aesthetics of the place are nice although the walls and floors are getting a bit grimy. Flat white was OK; strong taste with good latte art. Staff was averagely friendly. Branded ceramics and cups are a nice bonus.

Excellent coffee, nice cake/snack selection and very friendly staff. We took refuge here on a rainy Sunday - whilst the coffee shop itself is small, it’s nice and cozy and the staff look after you - quick to bring water and take empty plates from our small table. Had a flat white - smooth and creamy, very delicious. Accompanied the coffee with a slice of carrot cake - yum - and a peanut and chocolate chip cookie. Excellent combo. Toilets are out the back through the neighbouring office cubicles, but are clean and handy. Will be back as favourite coffee from my weekend visit to Melbourne.

Delighted that one of my favourite coffee destinations near work was open for my once a week trip into the office for essential work. Their strong coffee is as strong as I make it for myself at home and so worked a treat for waking me up for the huge workload ahead today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Previous Review Today I treated myself to a sit in breakfast before the weekday rush. I ordered toast and jam, the sourdough bread was delicious and dense, a very high quality bread, just yum. The disks of butter where thoughtfully segmented, ready for buttering the toast and it meant that it spread very easily. As I enjoyed the cheerful décor, I drank my piping hot slightly sweet chai latte.

Friend's recommendation, a bit of a blackout spot for me though. I definitely would've walked past it. 15% surcharge on ALL weekends, fair enough for holidays, but passed on penalty rates always gets my third eye twitching. A red light for me.

Vacation Coffee came to my rescue once more. In need of a pre-busy-week escape, I returned to this haven. The serene ambiance and exceptional coffee provided the perfect mini vacation. It's my go-to spot whenever I crave a brief respite before diving into a hectic schedule.

One of my favourite spots for a coffee in the city, it literally is a mini vacation from every day life. It may be a small shop, but it's packed with character and super tasty coffee. A Melbourne coffee institution that you don't want to miss.

Such great coffee! I used to go here nearly everyday when I worked in the city to grab a coffee, cold press juice, a cookie or smashed avo on toast! I loved the menu and the food and drinks were always so good and delicious!

Overall great: Tasty food. Vegan options. Quick service. The place didn’t have a restroom and they add up an extra charge of 10% in the weekends. I recommend their avocado toast 😋

Such a good vibe. Staff were heaps friendly and flexible. Coffee was very nice. I had a flat white, and my wife had an iced latte. We were pleasantly surprised as to how naturally and subtly sweet our coffees were. Didn’t have any food, but the sandwiches looked amazing.

I thought they were better than this…very average almond croissant and okay coffee. The kitchen was cleaning with strong vinegar when there were still customers eating and drinking coffee. Not the vibe anymore

I like their attitude towards making speciality coffee. I ordered a pour over. It took quite a well as it always does. The girl who made it tasted it first and felt it was overly extracted. She offered to make a new one for me as she thinks it's not of good quality and she does not want to serve me with this. However i was in a rush for a movies in 1 minute. I asked to swap to a batch brew instead. So she said she will return me the gap to my card. And she did.

Stumbled across this cafe on way to work. Customer service is cold. The layout confused me and I didn't know where to order and I was looking here and there but noone just bothered to say hi or offered help. Eventually asked where to order and was directed to the corner. While ordering felt the ppl serving just didn't want to be there and were overly automated and machine like. $6 for medium cap though coffee was good, bit overly smooth and not enough depth but some ppl will find it Good to their taste buds but not dollar 6 good. I think I will stick to my regular cafe.

(Translated by Google) Good location, opposite the stadium. Coffee is strong! The personnel service attitude is good. The chef operates the food clean and fast. Unfortunately, there are no toilets, street street signs, toilet instructions, early planning to avoid the situation, with instructions. (Original) 地點佳,球場正對面。咖啡濃醇!人員服務態度好。廚師操作食物乾淨又快。 可惜沒洗手間、街頭的街牌有洗手間指示,早早計劃以免出狀況,附指示圖。

Stayed in an Air BnB apartment close by during the recent Melbourne Marathon and saw this highly rated coffee place on Google map so thought we gave it a go. It was handy too as it was one of few places that opens on Saturday. The service was friendly and importantly coffees we had were good. It's obviously popular as at 7.30am on a Saturday it was quite full and busy. Certainly will recommend it if you are close by and need your coffee fix!

Great, well-priced coffee and wonderful staff who work wonders and maintain quality even when there's tens of people waiting during the morning rush. Interior stands out with the dominant pink/mint green colours and there's some seating available (but not much) for those who want to sit for a while. Some food options, like toasties, also available and are pretty good value.
