👍 I definitely think this place has so much potential! Coffee was really yummy, and I'd definitely got again for coffee & service was delightful but the food was not well seasoned. People often mention great, coffee, breakfast, cafe, good, Coffee, eggs, staff, friendly,

Visited this cafe today with my family. Service and food were really quick. Coffee was amazing - Proud Mary is one of my all time favourites in Melbourne. No kids menu, so we ordered ham, cheese and tomato toasties for our kids which they loved. I had the NOK breakfast with bacon which was great - particularly the potato rosti and my hubby had the chilli scrambled eggs which he enjoyed. The only negative I will mention is that it is quite loud sitting inside and there was not any sound proofing up to reduce the noise level, so it was very hard to carry a conversation at times due to the volume of people inside. Things to note - space is really tight and if you have a pram (like we did) if there are others also with prams and highchairs, it can get a little tight and there is a step to get in and out of the cafe. The cafe courtyard is currently closed due to staffing issues, but you can enjoy sitting out the front outside. They take reservations. Parking is on the street and timed.

Thought we'd try this place on a whim since it's local, and wow! What a great choice. It was one of the best breakfasts we've had in Melbourne. Two of us had smashed avocado and fetta on seed toast with different eggs. The plate was perfectly portioned, balanced, flavourful, beautifully presented and everything was cooked to perfection. The coffee was also great and the interior and decor is nice, warm, clean and comfortable. Everything you want in a great Cafe. They have clearly put a lot of thought into every detail at this place. We will definitely be back again.

Coffee is always great! Had the corn fritters with bacon, one of the best I’ve had in the area.

Excellent experience. Food was very tasty, and whilst the big breakfast was more a moderate breakfast, the flavours and quality was great. Coffee was good, and everything came out very quickly even though they were quite busy. Table was a little rickety, but were picking at straws to find a significant issue

One of the best local eateries in Caulfield and Elsternwick. The food is to die for and service is always outstanding (and this is hard considering the place is always full). Booking is highly recommended if you don’t want to miss out. My favorite is the coconut chicken salad with zoodles, it’s amazing. Thank you for always making me feel welcome and feeding me with a smile. The only problem: the kitchen closes at 2.00pm 😕

Strong Large Soy Milk Latte: perfect! The foam on top blends in perfectly with the coffee, without creating weird clumps of curdled milk... Then the drink becomes soft and dense :) Super good! Difficult to find this quality of coffee these days, for some reason :/ Chilli Scrambled eggs with Roasted Mushrooms: perfect, again! These guys put so much flavor on this dish that I almost order another one :) It might be the pesto they add in between eggs! For sure, they are very generous with the chilli hehe Don't get me wrong! I loved it, but next time I might get it a bit less spicy :) Not to mention the stellar staff :D This brunch really made my day <3

🌟 I've had what I believe is the best porridge in town at this cozy little spot. 🍽️ A perfect blend of traditional flavors and a touch of modern flair! The texture was just right - creamy, yet with enough bite to keep it interesting. And the toppings? Oh, they were a delightful symphony of nuts, and a drizzle of honey that was simply divine. It's more than just a breakfast dish; it's a comforting hug in a bowl. 😌. However, other dishes on the menu are not that outstanding. The portion of the Big Breakfast looks a bit pathetic. 🫣 So, if you're in the mood for a warm and satisfying start to your day, make your way to the best porridge in town. 🌈👩‍🍳

I always come here after my work to get coffee and cake. The staff are good and they serve good coffees. My favorite dessert is the cake with coconut and raspberries, they're delicious and I've never had anything like. I highly recommend it to everyone to try. Their iced coffee is also good, I'm having it at the moment with a chocolate brownie, a good reward for a hard days work. The location is good though there's not much parking especially on the weekend but there's always side streets that you can find to park your car. The place is nice though it's a bit small but there's an outdoor seating with 6 chairs and 3 tables. There's also some seats at the back if you don't want to see people passing by. Over all, I highly recommend this place for coffee lovers.

I have visited the cafe several times as my daughter attends art class next door. Food is always consistently good and well presented. Great coffee. Impeccable service. Good vibe on weekends. My only comment would be to provide more options on the menu but this is only because I visit the establishment on a weekly basis!

Nice little cafe hidden gem of Elsty. Very nice decor and ambience for a weekend brunch! I got the NOK breakfast which was superb and the coffee was outstand too. Highly recommended if you're nearby for a bite!

Probably Elsternwick’s best cafe - we had a family brunch at Next of Kin today and all the meals were lovely. Great atmosphere without feeling too hectic. Our go to place for breakfast out!

I’m not usually compelled to write a review, but Next of Kin blew my tiny mind. I had the NOK breakfast, and every moment was a new experience. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, mushroom was spiced masterfully (not the slight dirt taste you can often get at other places), and every other bite was so exciting! Also their huge house made hash browns were so exciting! The servers were also really pleasant and kind. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. The coffee was a little bitter for my taste, however. I’ve never taken the time to write a review, and I may never again. Well done, Next Of Kin!!!

Went this morning for the 1st time, as my daughter has been a few times. Coffee was great, nice on the palate, had a toasted Corn beef sanga also great. Cafe very clean & neat. Staff very happy and attentive. Will be a regular from now on. Thanks ladies.

Lovely little cafe with a great menu. I was able to get a table right away on a Wednesday morning (with room to accommodate a pram). I had the NOK breakfast which was excellent, plus a pot of tea and a chai. My friend had the zucchini corn fritters, which were also delicious. Good size portions and quality produce. Service was excellent, fast and very friendly. Great location just down from the busy part of Elsternwick, so easy to get parking out front.

I have spent several days in Elsternwick and this cafe was recommended. What a great find! The food and cafe are superb and the staff are efficient and friendly. This little gem has been like a home away from home. Very welcoming. Give them a visit - you won’t be disappointed.

Very well presented and the dish that I had avocado with feta on toast with two poached eggs was superb. A perfect balance of flavours and the serving size was also perfect. Highly recommend.
