The acai bowl here was also very delicious. The amount of acai is very large. However, this cafe closes at 15:00. Very early! I tried several times, but I couldn't make it in time. This is one day before I left Melbourne. Last minute I succeeded in eating this acai. lol Also You can eat a gluten-free and healthy menu.

Impressive array of gluten-free options, particularly for breakfast. After eating big cooked breakfasts elsewhere, I loved the acai bowl and how well I felt afterwards! Seedling was my fav place to eat on my last visit to Melbourne.

Really good cafe concept with friendly staff, but the açai bowl portions are a lot smaller than expected for the price and the sandwich was nothing to write home about. Overall, a good choice for a quick lunch with vegan options.

The best waffles I’ve ever had! Such a cosy cafe packing a punch when it comes to service, their great coffee and of course, the delicious food! Both the avo smash and waffles were too good - yum!

Food and drinks are super tasty. However, the micro-robbery is not good guys. I paid $6,70 for a hot chocolate (small) when the menu says $6. $12 for a small salad box that is luckily 80% full; if you get a regular size, it would be 75%. Don't get me wrong; I love locally produced/vegan/organic, and I have no issues with paying the price for it, but I do have problems when I don't feel I am getting what I paid for.

Waffle craving satisfied. Best part is it is gluten free. Full of flavors, you wouldn’t think it’s gf. Staff are friendly.

Food is delicious here. Service and atmosphere can be immensely improved. Waitress needs some training with her customer service.

Googled Gluten Free cafes and Seedling popped up so choice made. Great small cafe, friendly and quick service. I had the waffles which were very good but a touch crispy in places. I also had the blue pea flower tea which turns purple when you add lemon juice. Would go again when in the city for sure.

Tiny place in the heart of the city but a great selection of healthy options, including a lot of veggie and vegan choices.

Oh my goodness! I only discovered this cafe a few weeks ago, and honestly I’m already hooked. As someone who can’t eat gluten, this cafe is a godsend. I’m not vegan, but I also can’t eat eggs (because why not) so I tried their vegan frittata. It’s so delicious! I don’t know what magic is inside it, but I’ll be coming back for more. Thank you team for making such amazingly delicious, and belly friendly food.

Healthy brunch in cbd. Great coffee. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. Came here for low carb options but the new menu is harder to read and has less options than the older black coloured menu.

I visited with a friend on their recommendation & I'm so glad I did; I would never think to visit a gluten-free cafe and was pleasantly surprised at how flavourful my food was. I appreciated the amount of vegan options & had the avocado on toast, my friend had an acai bowl. Coffees were lovely, service was friendly & the prices were pretty reasonable considering it's a specialty place. I hope other gluten-loving folks also enjoy Seedling, as it was a truly lovely experience with heaps of effort put into everything, which paid off. Thanks guys!

How absolutely pleasant and welcoming! The staff are delightful and the coffee was spot on - perfect temp ( not tepid like most places) and delicious pea salad. Greatly enjoyed the quaint, teeny space - people watching seat was cool. Yum

Came here for lunch today with my friend , decent amount of vegan options and the food I had was nice. The service however, was terrible. The server we had was so cold and practically slammed my order on our table without a word. My friend asked for sauce for me and when she was noticed at the counter the server said “yes what?” I’ve worked in hospitality and we all have crappy days, but my friend and I were not demanding in any way, rude in any way and I felt like we were treated like we were horrible customers for no reason. Unfortunately will not be back due to the uncomfortableness we felt

When I say this is the BEST food I’ve ever eaten in my life I mean it. I got the smashed avo and my partner got Georgia’s waffles.

I'm gluten free and vegan. Looked up vegan options near me. Found this place. Realised the whole place is gluten free. That's just amazing. Nice little Cafe. People working there were nice. Got a Frittata and a salad. The frittata was the best thing I've ever had. I highly recommend.

Beautiful breakfast. The amount of ingredients and flavours that were packed in were very impressive, especially considering they have the smallest kitchen to work from. If you want healthy AND delicious food/drinks this is definitely the place!!

Soy cap, Tummeric Porridge and toast with jam for breakfast at Seedling Café. And revisiting during a two-week café crawl had me breakfasting on lactose-free cappuccino, fruit toast (only one slice made it into the photo) and Tropicana Smoothie Bowl.

I ordered the almond latte to go this morning at the Seedling Cafe and was thoroughly impressed with its quality. The coffee was well-made and had a smooth, nutty flavor that I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend the almond latte to anyone who loves a good cup of coffee. Will visit again thank you

My favourite cafe that we found on our getaway to Melbourne. Beautiful real food, their acai bowl was so delish, the Tumeric Almond Latte was one of the best I have ever tasted. Their menu caters for Gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free and the food is top quality. We visited twice and whenever we visit Melbourne again we will be back.

After a great experience a few months ago at the Lt Collins venue, we decided to try Flinders Lane this time and we were not disappointed. The lady who served us was lovely and went out of her way to remind us to keep our receipt to claim back 20% (Melbourne Money scheme) - we would've forgotten otherwise. The GF waffles were delicious and very filling, and the coffee was exceptional.

I went here today as I googled gluten free cafes in the area. I would recommend this place highly. I had a freshly made bacon and egg toastie with spinach leaves and a yummy tomato sauce. The gluten free bread was delicious. The service was great and the staff were all friendly. I will definitely be coming back again.

As a coffee enthusiast, was hoping a strong flat white would pack more of a punch than this one did.. was milky on my standards. Staff were lovely and food looked pretty tasty and healthy! Didn’t get to try any unfortunately.. maybe next time.

Ordered 3x smashed avo with 2 eggs added to 2. Very tasty but missing an egg on each. Advised waiter, and waited for the eggs. Food got cold, asked again and they'd forgotten about it. Eventually got eggs, but the rest of the meal was now stone cold. We were offered a free caramel slice, rejected and asked for a refund. They refunded the cost of two eggs - $6. On a $100 breakfast. Won't be back.

Incredible on all levels – drinks, food & customer service: impeccable. Everything is wheat & gluten free (nota bene: no “gluten free” oats are used – highly appreciate it!!!). Most food options are dairy free as well, coffee can be prepared with non-dairy alternatives. I’ve been twice in a short term to have a delicious, satisfying breakfast that kick-started my day both times. The range may seem to be small, but it is a small café after all; and what is being served is highest quality food. The Hulk is a smoothie bowl, with a lovely creamy texture and succulent flavour. The smoothie base is not too sweet, yet the fresh berries on top satisfy any sweet cravings perfectly. Also, the crunch of the roasted buckwheat kernels gives the dish a very interesting texture, from first to last bite it does not become dull. It is a very generous portion size and a very refreshing meal. The Banana Hot Cake is a definite “must try” too! The cake is soft and fluffy and the ideal foundation for all the deliciousness on top: fresh fruit, crunchy buckwheat and creamy coconut. To my taste it got very, very sweet towards finishing the dish as it is topped off with maple syrup as well, however, the micro greens on top made such a nice, distinct contrast that I did not mind – I have never had sprouts on a (sweet) breakfast dish before and it’s definitely something I will include into my breakfast routine, gamechanger!! As I am used to paying higher prices for food that accommodates my dietary requirements, their prices are very reasonable (I’d even say cheap considering the high quality of food and service). Lastly I’d like to say that service and kitchen staff also do an amazing job; they are absolutely knowledgeable in regard to dietary requirements (finally someone who understands that gluten free oats are still oats and therefor belong to wheat derivates and are not suitable when suffering from a wheat allergy/serious gluten intolerance). I also had a short chat with the chef, and he was very open and respondent for feedback and compliments. If ever I should come back to Melbourne, this will be my “go to”-café. Highly, highly recommend!

Cool place. Nice staffs. Wonderful coffee. Normal price with huge portion of breakfast. So good to have hot meal with fresh cooking. - signature egg baked with extra hot smoked salmon, company with pumpkin bread which is so soft and delicious. - Super smashed avo, green pea, etc. I chose Vegan choice, so they change goat cheese to cashew nut cheese which is perfect match. Extra cooked smoked salmon. YUM and SUPER FULL! - Skimmed flat white and Almond flat white are perfect cups for me and hubby. Love all of them. Recommended.

Lovely little spot for a cozy brunch. Smashed avo was amazing, fresh salad on top and the toast was amazing, almost forgot it was gluten free! The waffles were so yummy and came with a generous serving of fruits and coconut yoghurt. The raw power smoothie was also amazing, so delicious and healthy! Keen to visit again!

Amazing 🙌 You know how hard it is to find Gluten-free food that doesn't taste like licking a boot?! This place does it so well and on top of that its paleo and vegan, feels so healthy after you finish eating, like you got a lots of energy still.

The reviews were really complimentary of this Cafe so we thought we'd give it a try. We came slightly after the busy rush hour during lunchtime. To our disappointment, it did not live up to the standards or reviews of what others have written. We initially wanted to order through the QR code (on the table) which is pretty convenient, only to notice a $5 "saturday surcharge". We visited during a weekday, so not sure why this was still being implemented. Ordered at the counter instead and the staff told me that the kitchen was closed despite witnessing other staff members preparing hot food, which was a combination of potatoes, frittatas etc. It seemed the staff were too lazy to cook up smashed avocado and a poached egg........not that difficult surely and if it is, why have it on your menus? We reluctantly had the veggie frittata to which was cold in the middle. Staff weren't that friendly, particularly the one at the counter. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there or have a positive attitude. Very disappointing experience and won't be coming back again
