A lovely spot for a picnic and meander.. oh and check out the amazing houses around the square. Lovely. If you want a place to eat nearby, head to The Montague pub. Family friendly spot with lots of options. The gardens are also right by Albert Park shops where there are lots of places for cake, tea, coffee, food, fashion and my favourite book store in Melbourne. A hidden gem.

Albert Parks beautiful gardens , great for a picnic , fun for the kids with great play equipment and a stones throw from Bridport street with so many cafes or simply a nice place to sit and relax

I’m so glad these gardens haven’t been spoiled and not too many people come here. Beautiful, even on a cold day. So close to Bridport Street shops / cafes / restaurants / upmarket boutiques / real estate agents etc all set in blue chip Albert Park.

A green refuge in the inner city. Many mature trees with lots of shade. The west half of the park is a perfect picnic or a quiet reading venue on a sunny sunday. BYO a rug as seats are few and mostly near the large children’s play area. Bonus: Dundas Place shops, Gumtree Good Food, and The Avenue Bookstore are a short walk.

Could be the nicest park in Melbourne. We had a great family picnic there. The kids could run around, play on the playground, sports and it felt very safe. Lots of mature trees provide shade. And gorgeous houses surround the park.

A quiet and tranquil location in the heart of Albert Park. Lovely to just sit under a tree and do nothing. Tennis court, lawn bowls and a good children's playground make up other attractions. There's also a succulents garden that has just been established.

Pity there is no 6 stars to post. Gardens and surrounding houses are absolutely unique pocket of English architecture at it best in the last quarter of 19th century. Placed in central Melbourne. Pick a sunny day to visit. You will feel wow here is London!

Sshhhh! Don’t tell too many people about this wonderful secret! Hidden away amongst one of the most prestigious streets in Melbourne, this park has a great shaded playground that’s perfect for kids of all ages. There’s also a tennis club and lawn bowls club. Close to Albert Park village too so you can grab a takeaway lunch and enjoy a picnic in this beautiful setting.

Very nice gardens and the flower beds are planted seasonally with some great varietals of older trees. Nice space to relax when local. Sth Melbourne markets aren't too far away for some fresh produce before enjoying the park.
