It's a nice park with a playground area for kids and a separate area with exercise equipment for adults. There's a wooden boardwalk that runs through the park to protect the natural vegetation. Unfortunately there is very limited shaded areas in the park which can be a serious issue for young children on hot summer days. A number of shade sails should be installed. There is also limited seating. There is quite a large car park on the northern edge of the park however it's almost always full with cars even when there is virtually no one in the park!

Lots of different activities for young kids to play. They love it. And it's close to a little beach though the sand and water is not good. Definitely come often.

This playground in Port Melbourne is (literally) a hidden gem. Reminiscent of an abandoned shipyard, the playground is an easy 20 minutes walk from the tram station and Station Pier. Best time to visit is late afternoon for the stunning sunset.

Nice big playground with a beach nearby there are some water features and a lot of climbing installations. And there is a nice cafe nearby. From the playground you could see port and ships. The only down side that the nearest toilet is ~300 m from the playground. This place is quite busy if the day is sunny and warm. It is not easy to find parking here on summer days after 10am. Even if there is a big parking lot nearby, it is getting full really quick.

Something different for the kids, an all sand playground with many different types of fastened scoops and pulleys for sand pour and transport play. Most of the sand is of the larger rough variety. Large slide and other climb play available. Decent shading in the afternoon of spring, with decent wind blocking. Water play available too but some pumps required some strength i.e. adult help required. Beach is right next to it, but it was very windy and quite littered when visited. Toilets available short walk away. Free parking available.

It’s kind of nice... more so for kids. Quirky array of maritime themed play equipment, and tight neat the port...

Great new playground with something for kids of all ages. The small toddler areas is fantastic and there are climbing things/a ropes course for older kids. There is a water play areas & water spurts out from various places. No shade so it'll very hot in summer. Toilets can be found a short walk away.

This is a great playground. The kids love taking their shoes off and running around on the sand under the equipment. The beach just next to the park is nice and shallow and calm, great for the kids to paddle.

Nice little playground. An ideal place for the family on warm days. The kids love it, also the bushes + the trail and the beach near by. Public toilets accessibility could be the most concerning cons. Need to walk 400m to the public toilets. Be prepared if you have a toilet training child with you.

Beautiful park and play area for the kids. My Boys 4 and 5 years old love it. Tucked away… water play on hot weather… or on cold weather… depending how well your kids listen to you. Mine not so much

This is one of the better playground near the city with a great view of the city and the play area was big enough to cater for many kids. You can also go for a scenic walk or take out your fishing rod for a spin.

One of the best play grounds for children! Well layer out and thought through playground to keep the children occupied for hours. It would be a greatly welcomed addition to see a toilet block nearer to the playground built in the not too distant future, other than that amazing facility

It is a good park for kids across the ages. The water feature is always a hit. Unfortunately, shade is a problem. Hot days, absolute struggle to stand under the sun watching your child. So make sure you have sunscreen and a hat. Parking an be really difficult during the busy times.

Some interesting and challenging experiences for kids at the playground for both young and older kids, including water play. However, lacking shade so be sure to put on sunscreen.

Lots of maritime themed structures for kids to play on, the whole thing built in a coarse sand pit with sand tubes, sand hoists, channels and fixed kids diggers all over the place. Water play, a hand operated pump etc also in some areas. Climbing, Bouldering on a sea buoy! Lots of fun. Also has public gym/exercise machines all in very good condition. There are some shade shelters. Close to the beach and has free parking but be advised the free parking area appears to be often full - I suspect it's taken advantage of by those who leave their car there all day and go elsewhere - the park was empty except for us - we had to park in a small bay next to the surf life saving club with a half hour limit. Nearby roads are also residents only, so be prepared.

You sense the feeling of an old Park but very well maintained for its age. All of the things are made out of wood and it’s on the beach so sand everywhere. Kids loved this place.

  • 5/5 Rach S. 3 years ago on Google

What a beautiful spot to view Melbourne skyline and also the container port in action. If you keep walking right at the end you can see large container ships getting loaded/unloaded and also Williamstown with small fishing boats anchored.

It's a good and big park. Lot of games to play for kids lot of games to develop learning skills. But I didn't like the sand over there. I think it's kind of crush rock on which hard to walk.

Good playground. Good for 4yo+ but get advanced to 10+ stuff Not great for under 2yo Sandy ground is novel but it is more like small rocks, bark is way better.

  • 3/5 Errold B. 2 years ago on Google
Surf was up, but blowing a gale. Not a bad place to come for sun and sand, but not too much there. It could quickly get overcrowded on a weekend.

  • 4/5 Harry P. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome park, too many rats and mice! Literally running past the kids, need pest management. I don't won't to even think of the tiger snakes lurking around. Besides that the park is well designed.

  • 4/5 Peter H. 1 year ago on Google
Fun park, kids enjoy the slide and waterplay. Nice walk nearby to a lookout that overlooks the bay across to Williamstown, and easy beach/sand access. Just be aware that while bathroom facilities are nearby, they are still a bit of a walk away from the park itself.

  • 3/5 Ramana P. 5 years ago on Google
A small, little kids play park, tucked away in a corner. Not a bad place to visit with kids under 7 years. There is plenty of parking available but, can get filledup especially, if there is a party happening in the near by Function Hall.
