Lovely nature walk along Damper creek with various birds and other other creatures thriving in their natural habitats. There’s a pond and swamp area half way down and walking tracks run either side. It seems to be dog friendly but some owners let their dogs off the leash all the way along which I’m not sure is allowed or secure for young children. A great spot to cross over the creek on rocks and it really feels like you are not in the suburbs but in a wilderness area.

A brilliant reserve to walk alongside the creek and nature. Although the reserve is linear, there is a circular trail either side of the creek. Dogs are allowed off leash which is great and there's plenty of bridges across the creek depending on how far you wish to walk. There's a dog fountain, dog waste bin with bags at the entrance, and the car park is quite small across the road. Really great for taking your dog for a walk.

One of my favourite walks. A creek running the entire way surrounded by a beautiful view with many different tracks to take this walk in really peaceful and well kept. Rubbish bins at each entrance and a drinking fountain also a playground at main entrance with a small Carpark. Completely off lead this is definitely a spot to take your dogs as they can also Play in the water which is not deep and lots of different smells for them to enjoy.

A surprisingly quiet strip of nature hidden amongst Mt Waverley! The walk is short but the trees and stream make you feel like you’re in the Dandenong ranges. We came on a sunny Saturday morning when the track wasn’t too busy, managed to walk the track in about 15 minutes.

A walk along the creek always reminds me of simple times. It’s roughly a 2km circuit all around, with varying places to cross over the water. Lovely to stroll through nature and hear the sound of the creek — a beautiful place to get away from the urban bustle. Would caution against visiting on super wet days, if only because the path does get quite sludgy and muddy but if you like that sort of thing, here you go!

Really lovely area where you can feel away from the city. So nice to have a space for wildlife in the middle of the suburbs. I only wish it were bigger. Great place for a short walk with the kids. Saw some tawny frogmouths and a kookaburra. Also cute little play area for kids of all ages. Love the leash free. Highly recommended.

The Damper Creek walking track offers a serene and enjoyable experience, perfect for various activities like walking your furry companions, jogging, or simply taking a leisurely stroll. The track's ease and the tranquil ambiance make it an ideal spot for unwinding and connecting with nature.

NO LONGER OFF-LEASH( changed 1st July 2023) there is now a dedicated area for off leash activities along the walk(indicated on the map). Changed due to remnant vegetation protection while other areas in monash council opened up to off leash dogs( mainly ovals). Still a great place to walk your dog on leash or on your own. Have been here a lot especially over lockdowns, as gives a real sense of being out of the city. Is nice on hot days in summer but really comes alive of the wet days where mini waterfalls and the like can be seen along the walk. Maybe just my experience from today but multiple mountain bike riders going through the trails and cutting corners so be aware. Would not advise to ride these particular tracks as many people walking and visibility around corners isn’t great.

Very convenient to have a nearby reserve to walk alongside the creek and the nature. There are some bridges, paths shortcuts, and stairs to gain alternative access to different routes at the reserve or suburbs. Also, one of the great spots to take photos of the creek and the nature surroundings.

Great walk. So green in this little sheltered valley. Parts of it need a bit more attention but it's steadily improving over the past 10 years. Popular with locals. Safe for single walkers because of its high use. Well worth a try.

Great little nature reserve apparently created by the "concerned nature loving neighbours". Lots of big and small trees, shrubs, lots of birds.
