Absolutely delicious! Their is a section out the back which is really cool. Staff were super friendly & the food came really quick. Everything we had was full of flavour & the serving sizes are really good. Highly recommend the cauliflower & the lamb. Dips were also amazing. Definitely worth a visit! Can't wait to come back :-)

We visited Teta Mona for dinner with friends for some rustic Lebanese food. This is very much aiming to showcase home style cooking and the restaurant atmosphere has the same relaxed vibe. They also allow byo in continuing the casual relaxed theme (but I didn’t care for the credit card surcharge). Food wise it’s a heavy style cuisine but I really enjoyed the dips and the standout for me was probably the slow cooked lamb with buttered almonds. The pita chips gave it a really nice textural crunch also. Friendly service is worth mentioning too

🇱🇧 shared lebanese plates 🏠: @teta_mona 📍: Lygon St, Brunswick 📝: Transported to a oasis at Teta Mona in Brunswick, indulging in Lebanese flavors amidst mismatched furniture and a charming courtyard. The ambiance was as delightful as the food itself. 💫✨ ❤️: Our taste buds were treated to a feast fit for royalty at Teta Mona. The banquet portions were incredibly generous, leaving us happily satisfied. Two dishes that stole our hearts were the 🐔 Rez wa Djaj, featuring tender 🍗 7 spiced pulled chicken paired with spinach, quinoa, buttered almonds, and wild rice, and the Kafta w Batata, boasting 🍖 premium beef and fresh herb meatballs accompanied by 🥔 potato, 🌶️🍅 chili tomato sauce, and wild rice. A true culinary adventure we won't soon forget! 🍽️❤️

What a great place! Our friends chose this place for a mid week meal. The staff were super friendly and the food very tasty! We had a set banquet and added in the extra meatballs after seeing photos of them on google reviews. Everything was great, can’t fault this place:) The also have a small selection of pickles and condiments for sale at the front, of you like the food have a look… Strongly recommend:)

Seriously legit, we get the feast for 2 all the time take away and it’s so good. The little halloumi filled pastry’s are the best. Check out how huge the servings are, this is half the Feast for 2 into a bowl at home (excusi mwah on presentation)

Accommodating and friendly service. However, the set menu was good but not great. The hummus was my highlight. The bread was disappointing, the salad was dull, the meat dishes were plentiful but we had hoped for more in flavour, and the baklava was not as fresh as it should be. For $50 per person, we had definitely expected better quality.

Amazing, reasonably priced Lebanese food on Lygon street! Three of us got the banquet and everything that arrived on our table was fresh, tasty and filling! My favorite was the roasted eggplant. Make a booking before you go because this place is busy and for a good reason. Friendly staff too! Check out Teta Mona asap!

Goodness! Where do I even start... We did the chef's menu with 7 dishes in total and they were all superb! Surpassed expectations! Unlike your usual Middle Eastern restaurant of grilled meats and bread/dips... The dishes here are well presented, really fresh, delicious yet not overwhelming with flavours. The chef menu even comes with desserts and really just was the cherry on top of our night. Service and restaurant vibe was lovely and felt like I was transported to another country! Definitely a unique feeling given the travel restrictions. Very easy to enjoy and would definitely recommend! I'd be back very soon!

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Melbourne, and arguably, the world. The food, the service and the ambience are next level! I love that it has such charm and pays homage to the Lebanese culture, and at the same time is just so cool. All the food is amazing, though I would have to say the eggplant and the chicken are my favourite dishes. For such quality food, it’s so reasonably priced which is another bonus. Teta Mona I love you!

Review coming for a Lebanese that recently moved in to Melbourne. Complete disgrace for ‘Lebanese’ cuisine, below expectation and extremely pricey for nothing. Catastrophic experience. To begin with, staff (mainly the person running the place) was extremely rude although we had prior reservation. Food is nothing close to what a Lebanese cuisine has to offer, Hummus is average; fatouch is below average everything is definitely not making any sense. The taste is just okay. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for Lebanese authentic especially that we paid 330$ for 5 people (sharing one bottle of wine) without dessert. Also they have policy if you cancel the reservation they charge you card 30$ per person! What a rip off

We booked Friday night and had heard wonderful comments from family and friends. It was a set menu and the biggest disappointment. The cost $50 pp The food was very poor especially if paying that much pp. The salad was awful. Just to start. SO do not recommend set menu

Great little restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We had banquet for the night as it was the only choice but we had no regret.

Definitely the most delicious restaurant either my wife and I have ever eaten in Australia and arguably the best we've ever eaten anywhere! The flavours, the freshness and pairings were ridiculously good with friendly and comfortable service. The ice rose water is something special to top it off. Not over powering at all and adds a perfect, balance cleanse to the food. If travelling through Melbourne, I can't recommend Teta Mona highly enough!

The shared banquet is definitely the way to go. The selection of dishes on offer is impressive, and by the end of our meal, we were stuffed. We started with the fattouch and shanklish salata, both of which were good salads, but I couldn't help wishing they had been served alongside the mains, rather than as starters. For our main dishes, we opted for the barramundi and falafel, which turned out to be the highlights of the meal. The barramundi was cooked to perfection, and the falafel was everything you could want it to be, although I would have appreciated a greater variety of dips to pair it with. Moving on to our mains, the pulled chicken and slow-cooked lamb were both excellent, bursting with flavor. However, I found the presentation a bit busy and cluttered, with too much food crammed into small bowls. Despite this small critique, the overall experience was fantastic. The cozy ambiance and friendly service made us feel right at home, and we're already looking forward to our next visit

Another delicious meal here. The banquet on Saturday night made it easy for the group, and was all the delicious things we like.

We ordered from here on home delivery. We ordered one of the banquets. The food was good and plentiful. It also travels well as it is impressively packaged. It is a rather pricey experience but one that’s well worth trying.

Authentic Lebanese food and atmosphere, nicely balanced flavors. Had the Banquet degustation 2 for three adults and a child and serving sizes were more than generous. Lamb was fabulous, chicken and fish were also spot on.

What a little gem. If you’re looking for an authentic warm and cozy place to enjoy a good feed, then you’ve come to the right place. Teta’s boasts an extensive menu of Lebanese dishes, which includes vegetarian to meat dishes, all of which are absolutely delicious, my recommendation are the lamb cigars. The experience of dining in at Teta Mona’s feels just like your at eating at Teta’s house. If you’re in Melbourne, you must give this place a go. Thanks again for your hospitality and sharing your delicious food. We can’t wait to come back.

    - Interesting. Sounded expensive, it was, but good value for money. Plenty of food. Pretty packed into the space, even for the style of the setting and for the style of the food it felt too crammed. I was conscious that I was probably also speaking to the people at the table next to me. The portion sizes were large, which justified the price. I’m usually one to finish the table but takeaway was necessary. A fun assortment of food in the set course menu, with a couple of memorable dishes including the 7 spice chicken with wild rice, the Samboosek (halloumi pockets), and the drizzle of pomegranate molasses on the fattouch. The chicken was extremely tender, and as a dish with the chewy wild rice there was both amazing balance flavour and texture. The lamb tasted veryyy lamby, and the hummus had what was a beyond healthy pool of olive oil on top. The fattouch was highlighted by the pomegranate molasses. The food felt authentic, and it was a feel good, fun and enjoyable meal. For a $50 set course I would have appreciated a little more space between tables, and perhaps a change of plates between appetisers and mains but an experience overall I was very satisfied with.

Stumbled on this place after passing many a pretentious-looking restaurant along Lygon, and so glad we held out! We ordered the x1 medium (cauliflower - great recommendation by staff) and x2 main (beef and vegetarian), plus some hot beverages. All were hearty and simply perfect. Staff were very hospitable too. Is it a bit soon to say I adore this place? Maybe. But all I know is I’ll definitely be returning.

Came here for the first time tonight upon a friends recommendation….. absolutely stunning meal and experience. Wait staff were lovely and warm, the food was full of flavour, character and depth. Each dish complimenting the next. The highlight for me was dessert - highly recommend the rose icecream and baklava - heaven on earth!!!!

Had been here a couple times before and loved it. The most recent time, I had a booking for 30 people and everyone had a great time. We were really well looked after (the staff are amazing) and they set up a row of tables for us that took up half the courtyard; the weather was perfect that day but there was some cover anyway, so the atmosphere was awesome. The food is delicious and well priced, and they are happy for you to put any leftovers in some containers to take home. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly too, but plenty of meat options for the meat lovers. Highly recommend this place to anyone – and for large groups as well since it’s often hard to find somewhere to fit a large group on Melbourne! (Was too busy enjoying the food to take many photos but I’ve included a photo of the desserts we got as part of the banquet – desserts were def one of the many highlights!). Also it’s BYO!

Showed up on a Tuesday night at 6:15pm without a booking, they were quick too accommodate us and were able to seat us but we would have to be out by 7:30, there was an offer of banquet for either $40 and you get 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large meals plus a dessert platter. We went with Kafta w batata and fatte bi lahem for mains. There's a very homely feel inside this restaurant and the food tasted delicious The parking in this area was terrible, there were not many places to park at peak time so we found a spot 2 blocks away.

Cons: Koosa wasn't authentic Meat cigars were very dry Fish had no flavour, very bland Baklava with coconut oil was very weird, tasted off. Dessert was disappointing. Chocolate slice was dry Pro: Service was great though Batata potatoes were nice Hummus was really good Would I come here again? Sorry but No way!

Outstanding Lebanese restaurant - one of the best places to get falafel in Melbourne. Eat in menu is interesting and reasonably priced - their delivery food is great as well.

Food was very good and tasty, but the banquet was very pricey. We did not know there was a set menu either. We were not even shown the menu at the beginning. The person in the cashier should smile ;)

The variety in the menu paired with the extraordinary flavours are something not to be missed. Great place for groups with both meat eaters and vegetarians. The food came out quickly and every dish fresh and flavorful. It's BYO as well so I would highly recommend looking at the menu online first so that you can select appropriate choices for the dishes that you know you would like to get. There is a bottle shop across the street with a limited wine selection and a Black Hearts and Sparrow up the street.
