👍👍 I have not been an avid seeker of vegetarian options, however I think I could easily be converted after visiting Tahina. The share option was amazing and I would have to say the best falafel I have ever tried. It was great to be able to see the food being prepared out in the open with nothing to hid... People often mention falafels, delicious, good, great, smoothie, amazing, flavours, fresh, options, falafel,

I'm surprised I hadn't been here despite frequenting High St Northcote on several occasions. A mate recommended we dine here. We got the shared platter for 2. It was a lot of food to get through. But a lot of grear food. Best falafel's I've ever had. The roast veggies are yum with the mango and coriander sauce. The bread is soft and holds its own flavour. Keen to be back here soon.

After visiting Israel I have always been on the hunt for authentic Israeli food and this place is 100% on point! I had picked up take away from here before and their food always takes me back to my travels! This time I ate in and had the roasted cauliflower with hummus, lemon and tahini and it was insanely good (as per usual) Would definitely recommend this place, in particular to people who are dipping their toe into a vegetarian diet. You will not miss the meat and will be completely satisfied!

My family and I came to this very tasty Israeli 🇮🇱 vegetarian restaurant serving falafels and smoothies. The falafels were very tasty ( two types ) and baked cauliflower with tahini was great. A carrot hot dog was also very good. Friendly service from the chef and owner Roy and his staff made the experience and drive from Carnegie worth while. Go support this business and you won’t be disappointed. Today / Thanks Roy and team. #israelifood #falafel #humus #tahini #tahina #vegetarian #vegan #veganfood #vegetarianfood #falafels #tasty #tastyfood #yum @tahinabar

In terms of receiving a absolutely delicious mind boggling food this restaurant delivers! Such a great choice of foods for vegetarians and vegans with so many flavours. However, as someone who was not a local and did not know the venue - the venue is tiny and does not have many seating options available. I would not recommend for large groups unless you are wanting takeaway. There are bar stools inside which are squishy and there is very minimal seating outside the front of the restaurant however in the winter it is very cold.

Great food, the 'date night for 2' was a very generous portion and was delicious and filling, really good value. Loved the monkey salad with the crispy chickpeas and roast sweet potatoes and cauli. Lovely to have creamy dressings and sauces that are vegan. No tables inside, just bar seating. A few outdoor tables. I can imagine if you had a larger group and sharing it might be easier to get it takeaway.

Brilliant and ample brunch food options served by attentive staff in the heart of High St Northcote ... any of the Shakshouka options will satisfy the hungriest punter 👌 ... on the downside considering the streetside noise; venue could do with some more indoor table seating options

Delicious falafel bowl that came with 6 decent sized falafels and a lot of salad. Very good value for money which could have been easily shared with another person by adding a side dish. Seating is a little tight inside on benches however additional seating outside and is perfect for a quick takeaway. A must try if you like falafels.

Generous dish sizes for low prices. All dishes seem to be vegetarian. I didn't like mine (shakshuka green platter) but the desserts were good and out of the ordinary (recommend the vegan chocolate souffle). Several dishes were poorly cleaned (glasses, spoons).

Bad customer service - waited 15 minutes for a simple smoothie. Once I received the smoothie, the straw was too thin to even drink it! I told the lady at the counter that I couldn’t drink through the thin paper straw as the smoothie was too thick, she shrugged and didn’t seem to care. The business should invest in thicker straws for smoothies.

Good chains are as rare as palm trees in Antarctica. What works great once, often falls down on repetition. Not so here. Terrific felafel on a bed of pickly cabbage, creamy tahini and hummy, lettuce and somehow, although looking like first thing in the morning, tastes of champagne supper. Terrific service.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!! So far I’ve had: - the pumpkin pita pocket (it was freaking awesome, so fresh and delicious flavours) - the blue smoothie bowl (yum! granola was amazing) - the miso caramel smoothie (my friend’s exact words were, “I think this is the best smoothie I’ve ever had?”) Heaps of the things are vegan as well. ♡

A combination of creamy, soft, crunchy textures and hearty flavours! My partner and I shared the vegan carrot dog bun and the grilled eggplant and we were full.

I just ate here for the first time. The Green Falafel was exceptional. The components from the fresh to the fried, the spiced to the creamy and the generous serve was much better than this cook could ever produce at home. It seems I was the last to know. Please don:t change a thing.

Being a meat lover myself i was expecting some miss matched flavours. But to my surprise it was a symphony in my mouth. Tahini won't be too dry or too runny but good enough to reach every corner of ur mouth yet you wont chock on it. coz of cucumbers.oh! and falafel were the main show stoppers while egg-plants were there complimenting the whole party in ur mouth.

Tahina is one of the best falafels in Melbourne!! Super crispy yet not dry at all and packed with ingredients (tons of falafel) so it’s great value for money!! Really refreshing flavours. Cauliflower was also very flavourful and yummy!! Service was quick too so it’s worth the wait during busy periods. Will definitely be back!!

This place has been consistently delicious over the past 5 years. I always feel so well nourished after eating here. Fresh, crispy, tender, moist falafels in red and green variety!

Some of the best falafels I’ve ever had!! I’ve tried both the green & red falafels and they are excellent. I get the pita pockets and they are seriously delicious. The pita is warm, the fillings (and especially the hummus) are delicious, and it’s all accompanied with perfectly fried falafels. The prices are reasonable, the quality is great, and the staff is always friendly. I’ve also tried the chocolate peanut butter smoothie and miso caramel malt smoothie. Both are great but the miso caramel malt was SUPER good 😍 In short, if you’re looking for some amazing falafels I highly recommend this place!

A must try in Melbourne if you're a foodie. Delicious food, fresh salads and amazing taste. The falafels are remarkably fresh. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere, chilled and relaxed.

Really like the Red Shakshuka and Falafel salad(with hummus and pita). You can feel warmth/flavours and freshness in every bite. Quick and friendly service. Good place for Vegetarians(entire menu is!).

Was missing a meal (I suspect possible the Uber driver missed a second bag - mistakes happen) and Tahina fixed the issue with the utmost grace. The food was spectacular and fresh. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you to the food makers and management. Will definitely eat there again.

Ordered takeaway the feed me for 2 pack - wowy. Huge spread, amazing flavours and just hit all the right spots. Who ever knew that all veg could be so tasty and satisfying. Very highly recommended 👌

Can’t get past the monkey salad. I’ve moved interstate now and dream about this dish. Back visiting Melbourne and my first meal of course had to be at Tahina. Whole menu is divine!! Thank you!

The best of the best! Have been eating here since it opened, and was just perfection to come back to after 2 years away from Melbourne. Still the high quality and high taste I know it to be. We had the date night meal for 2 and the portion size was massive and so delicious. The owner made it and was just cool to still see him there doing what he does best after building such an amazing restaurant. No.1 in Melbourne for Middle Eastern, and I say that after living in Coburg for years too!! Go, go go!!

The falafel pita pocket was great but shakshuka was very disappointing. Cafe shakshukas are much better. It had big chunks of chewy tomato skin and not much flavour.

We ordered the date for two and it was massive! Really enjoyed the fried chick peas, super crunchy and flavourful. Smoked vegetables were amazing with a yoghurt dressing. Smoothies were really nutritious and refreshing. Will definitely be back, and the price point is a huge plus.

Incredible. We got the "Date Night for Two" and it was glorious - I feel like we sampled the whole menu! Seriously good food - fresh and full of flavour. A new favourite!

Solid meal and very friendly service. We got the Falafel Salad and Sabich - the waiter saw that we were sharing meals and offered to provide the Sabich pita pocket deconstructed which was a welcome change from other places that don’t think about the customers in that way. Thank you Tahina!
