The all day big breakfast was excellent. Tofu scramble was unique and very tasty. I don’t normally like vegan meat but the ham was also great. The salad rounded it out with some greens for an all round satisfying and delicious meal. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Literally scoffed down this meal as we just got told a snap lockdown was about to happen and were frantically trying to escape. In the rush we got a vegan chicken burger and a healthy plate of stuff and a smoothie. Had we had a do over we probably wouldn't have gone to Melbourne. Plus I would've swapped my burger for the healthy plate. The burger was delicious. It was just drowning in mayo. Way too much. Just a schmear wouldve sufficed. The plate was clean and fresh and filling. Will come back once dan Andrews gets the sack.

I started the day with the most incredible hangover after a few too many watermelon seltzers. Found Home Vegan Bar on Happy Cow and got myself their vegan big brekky and I immediately felt better. It’s sooo good that I went back a few hours later for lunch and got the chicken-style burger, some dumplings and an ice coffee. C’mon. It was even better than the brekky. Possibly even my favourite burger yet. No lie I would’ve gone back for dinner if they were open. I’ll be there every time I go to Melbourne now.

Very good 100% vegan cafe, for lunch and breakfast. Large variety of options. Nice decor and super friendly staff. We had Teriyaki Cheeken bowl and Falafel bowl, both rich/fresh/tasty. And the Berry Bliss and Home Sweet Home smoothies, both super smooth and perfect taste. 100% recommended.

ORDERED: 🥗  Cheesy Nachos: A bowl of tortilla chips with pico de gallo, black beans, avocado, creamy queso, pickled chillies & lime sour cream ($14.90) REVIEW: A fully vegan establishment, HOME Vegan Bar is great for anyone who has dietary requirements. They use mock meat, so if you have friends that aren't the biggest fan of veg food, they can get by. The cheesy nachos look light but they are ridiculously heavy. It fills you up so fast, that my friend and I actually struggled to finish our individual nachos. I would suggest you heavily consider sharing between two. 😬 The most magical part was their creamy queso (mexican cheese dip). It's savoury and has the right amount of saltiness that it's a great vegan alternative to the usual. This was incredibly well done! The nice thing about vegan nachos is that you don't get that heaviness after lunch. We were able to continue working the rest of the day!

Affordable price vegan food in town. The venue and food is wonderful. Staff are friendly. I had breakfast and lunch over 3 days when I am in town and will definitely come back. Porridge is tasty. Green bowl and cheek and teriyaki bowl are delicious too.

Delicious. Everything we had was delicious. The white wine was a delight. The nachos- up there with the best I’ve ever had And the ramen so satisfying Make room for a treat, the caramel slice and berry cheesecake are spot on. Not too sweet. Loaded with flavour

Today was my first visit to Home Vegan Bar. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great atmosphere with excellent summer music playing. I had the teriyaki "chicken" and it was excellent. It was a generous serve and all the veges were fresh and tasty. The mock meat was really nicely done and a perfect addition to the bowl. They also have an amazing range of sweet treats and drinks. I will definitely be back.

Came with the family who ordered the Tempeh Smoky Burger (beautifully presented and bun is a great colour) and Big Breakfast (best breakfast i’ve ever had in 11 years), both delicious! Lovely service and atmosphere! Will be back soon.

This is a really top vegan cafe!! Highly recommend the scrambled tofu and big breakfast. The bounty bar also super yummy. Ingredients sustainably sourced, lots of raw foods and drinks. Additionally, there are a heap of cafes in this area but I think HOME has just about the best coffee around ; soy flat white excellent. Also have almond, oat, coconut... Recommend most highly.

Gem of a café a stone's throw from Southern Cross station. Tons of delicious options that are also healthy (as opposed to most options at the station!). Generous portions, fresh ingredients, delicious and good value for money.

Fast, fresh and convenient vegan food! I've been a patron at HOME Vegan bar since they opened on Collins Street and have eaten there at least 3-4 times a week (various meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc.) Can't say enough great things about the variety and taste of the food. For breakfast - the portions are big, freshly made and served quickly. For lunch - there are a variety of salads and combination meal deals (with juice). If you get there early enough, get the kale 'chicken' sandwich: it is super popular and a personal favourite of mine. For dinner - the Dine-in (ramen and burger) and Take-out (Bowls) are favourites of mine. I've tried most of the juices and am pleased with their freshness and size of the bottles (Ginger Ninja is my go-to if you need a boost). They take AMEX which makes business dinners very convenient. Their staff and chef are friendly, helpful and one of the few restaurants that solicit/welcome feedback on their menu. Can't wait to eat here again when I'm back in Melbourne!

Probably the best Big Vegan Breakfast I've had! First time coming to this place, and I wish I had come sooner. I grabbed the Big Breakfast, which had an incredible tofu scramble, mushrooms, tomatoes, salad, avocado, toast, facon and a massive hash brown - it was actually the perfect definition of 'big', unlike some other café offerings. The tofu scramble had a runny, egg-like texture, and the addition of chilli and pumpkin seeds worked an absolute treat! I also grabbed their homemade falafels, which were super flavoursome and not at all dry, like a lot of falafels generally can be. The cafe has a pretty extensive breakfast and lunch menu, as well as some take away items such as rolls, salads and treats. The venue could probably sit about 20-30 people, and it's location is a very short walk from Southern Cross Station. The only real downside is that it's only open Monday-Friday!!

Had the takeaway tofu scramble muffin and chick'n schnitzel sandwich, was delicious! Desserts are really tasty too. Very friendly service, and it's all vegan from what I could tell! Will have to come back for a sit down meal next time. Check it out if you're in town!

My favourite lunch place in Melbourne! I’m lucky to live right next to this lovely cafe and I’m having lunch here most days! Staff are lovely and the food is so good! I highly recommend the mushroom burger, the Mexican bowl and the green risotto. The only negative thing is that while they claim to be a fully vegan business they do offer cows milk which makes me very sad and disappointed. I have brought it up with staff though and they agree that it’s less than ideal so hopefully it will be gone soon. Other than that I love it I love everything here!

Incredible service from the girl in the braids today! Absolutely delicious coffee and recommendation of the mango and like chia cup. Home Vegan Bar is the best Vegan restaurant I have been to! I had so much food I’m popping. Started with the Edamame Beans and “Meatballs” for the entrée. They were both amazing, especially the Meatballs. The sauce was to die for and the Meatballs which we heard took 2 days to prepare were worth every second when eaten. The main I had was the Nachos. Which are better than regular nachos. It was so filling and super delicious. Super fresh but good enough to count as a cheat meal. Lastly we ended this big feast with 2 desserts! One of the caramel slices and one of the caramel bars (yes I love caramel). Omg raw treat heaven!! Fair to say I couldn’t finish my second dessert so I took it home for the next day! Can’t wait to bring all my friends here; Vegan or not. You’ll enjoy every little bit. Worth adding: the staff are so friendly and welcoming!

Wanted to improve my diet in 2020, stumbled across HOME Vegan Bar as it was across the road from the office and have been back almost everyday. Everything I've had so far have been delicious (Ramen, Taco Bowl, Nourish bowl and Bounty slice) The staff are all super friendly and very welcoming, I wish we had a shop near work back in Sydney.

This cafe is easy to find almost opposite Southern Cross Railway Station. They are now open for dinner so I was lucky enough to try their new menu. Initially my friend and i tried a glass of white vegan Victorian wine. Whoa!! This was amazing. The wine tasted like crisp green apples, it was so delicate on the palate w a light texture and very very drinkable lol. I ordered a Red Bean vegan burger on a beetroot bun w a side salad. The burger was delicious, it wasn't greasy or heavy. Instead it was full of flavour, the red bean burger was hot and it had a mild spice to it. It was perfect. When my friends vegan ramen hit the table her eyes lit up like Christmas trees hahaha. The ramen brith that I tried had a good salty richness and it was all gobbled down in no time. We tried tortilla chips at the waitresses recommendation and they were crispy and the vegan cheese, incredible. My friend who is carnivore said that it was the best cheese she's ever eaten! Now that saying something. It was really tasty, and almost buttery minus the oil. Yummo. I tried a drink called Unicorn Mylk (yes) hahaha and it had .... and it was sooo yummy. For dessert we shared a caramel slice which tasted creamy and the chocolate waa some of the best vegan chocolate I've eaten. It wasn't too overwhelming like carob, instead it just filled my mouth with a light buttery chocolate flavour that was amazingly good. To finish we shared a fruit cheesecake, and this was rich, and full of berries, with a thick creamy texture. This was by far the best vegan establishment that I've ever been to. This place is a must visit and one place that i am certainly going back to as soon as practical!

The service was lovely, water was free, & the dine in curry ‘large’ serving was enormous. Unfortunately the curry was almost unbearably sweet, like straight stevia, & there was no aircon & it was so hot in there that I ate a few mouthfuls & had to leave. There didn’t seem to be customer wifi either. Maybe I’ll try again in winter.

I'm writing this as I sit in self-isolation to respect the recent health crisis and I'm blown away by the level of service from the folks at Home. They are still preparing nourishing, organic juices that can provide our immune systems with a natural boost to protect against illness... Now more than ever I'm reaching for my trusty cleanse and SO HAPPY that they are delivering to my door! I've tried many different cleanses in Melbourne but I can happily sustain a few weeks with Home Juices because the flavour combinations are better than any others I've tried. Do your body a service by ordering from these guys, you won't regret it!!!

the foods delicious, but for delivery paying 16 dollars for "curry of the week" which comes in 2 tiny bowls, total about 8 spoonfuls. This is just silly portion sizing for its price, even with high quality ingredients its ridicolously small. 1 Sushi roll for 3.50 from any sushi joint has more rice in it

Home Vegan Bar and I both suffered technology issues the day I stopped by for breakfast, but I did score a Big Breakfast, Cappuccino and Chai, although there's no photographic evidence. The person who served me and I just laughed off our misfortunes; we're made of the right stuff! Can't wait to revisit. (Unfortunately they're closed on weekends.)
