Unfortunately a very underwhelming and disappointing visit. Whilst the staff were friendly and the restaurant was nice, it couldn’t make up for the shortfall of the food. The burrito bowl was mostly rice. There was very little vegetables in it and strange ones too. I almost never see spinach and rocket in other bowls. There was only a small hint of tomatoes too. To top it off, the bowl had so much water in it from probably the beans. The other item we got was the quesadillas. The cheese was somehow very dry and the tortilla tasted stale like it had been reheated after 3-4 days. It was lacking flavour too and the dip provided just barely saved it. Lastly, it took more than 15mins to get our meal which was honestly too long seeing as there were no other customers to serve while we were there. We timed the next couple’s meal and theirs took about 17mins. I understand freshly prepared but I think that was too long. Struggled to find positives and to have had to pay a 10% surcharge for a Sunday, I would have and probably will drive a further 15mins to another restaurant in the future.

Expect freshly made hand-pressed tortillas. We ordered the Mexican egg breakfast with vegan chorizo mix, and also Eggplant Mole. They were delicious. :)

Finally found some decent Mexican food in Melbourne! There are so many amazing options & lots of vegan options including vegan chorizo! My only suggestion would be to make the portion sizes a bit larger (because it was so yummy!) & change the hours to be open on evenings & weekends! :)

Great little find. Loved the homely atmosphere and the staff. Really good vegan options and cocktails. Look forward to going back.

Juanita's Kitchen on High St, Preston is a not to hidden gem of the North. They pride themselves on fresh traditional Mexican cuisine using their own house made salsa's and fresh tortilla. Lots of plant based options. 5 out of 5 Tacos on a Sunday!

Excellent food, the Chilli was great and the nachos were great. However the service was quite slow, so if you're not in a hurry, its well worth a visit

What a terrible food... Got it delivered via Uber eats and it was absolutely disgusting. Nachos looked and tasted like they have been kept in the fridge for days. They were so stale that we literally had to scrape it from the box. Not only nachos, quesadillas were exactly the same. So hard to eat as it tasted like cardboard. Can not believe how they receive this amazing rating. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!! There are plenty other places with high quality Mexican food around. Your money will be wasted...

I would give 0 starts if I can. Just had a meal delivered and must say I am very disappointed. I am a big fan of Mexican food and had it delivered from many nice places nearby and never had such a bad experience. Food was stale, soaking soggy , distasteful and looks like been sitting there for hours may be days. All this when I live just 5 minutes away from this place. Never ordering again. You ruined our Friday night :( .

Ordered takeaway quesadillas bean and cheese. It was flavourless. Even adding guacamole, which was a strong in onion flavour, it was not great. I was highly disappointed. It wasn’t authentic Mexican nor was it even flavourful Mexican-inspired. Salsa’s the next day was better…

Ordered 2 meals on Doordash, only got 1. Called the venue straight away but they had already turned their phones off. The meal we did receive was of poor quality and looked and tasted like it had been prepared the day before. For the price the quantity was less than okay. Effectively, even after the Doordash credit we paid over $30 for a meal priced around $20 and 90% of that went in the bin. Would not try again.

Had the breakfast bowl. Very yummy and full of variety. A little too much beans though so couldn’t finish it. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Love my Mexican food :)

Live local and keen to try this place after reading the reviews. Margaritas were tasty but that’s where it ended.. Disorganised staff took our order and failed to pass it to the kitchen. With only 2 other parties in the restaurant, at no point did either wait staff check on us. After another group (that arrived 30 mins after us) got their meals, I checked on ours. Very disappointed, will not be back.

Junita's Kitchen has been on the list to try for quite a while. High hopes, but didn't really live up to ratings. Place doesn't really have much atmosphere and only one wait staff. The place wasn't business but service was still quite slow. The food was quite slow as well. The food was average, didn't find any of the flavours of the food special. Paid $5 for guac on the narchos. Felt pretty over priced

We got the set menu for $35, great value, delicious and very filling. Staff are super friendly and let us bring our dog in the outdoor area. Will definitely visit again.
