Update! No longer a coffee or breakfast joint, but the greatest dive that exists north of the Alexandra Pde divide. Serving up some of the best grub at an incredible price point with really excellent options for vegans and vegetarians. Not to mention the endless YouTube party featuring often brilliantly obscure (to some) music. The staff are great but take no sh*t, so just respect ya hospo team and you'll be right. Thanks Fan's Notes! So glad the lease got extended!

Thanks all, Had a fantastic time at this venue. However, when I arrived home; it came to my attention that a crisp potato chip had attached itself to the underside of my posterior. Upon closer inspection, the French fry (if you will) still maintained a moderate quantity of salt, albeit slightly overdone. It was the perfect way to end my evening, consuming the final chip that was salvaged from between my crack and my bed sheets. A souvenir and a memory of a lovely night filled with laughter, friends and affordable pub fare. Yours Truly, Hugh Jass

Delicious food with crazy meal deals most nights of the week. Movie nights on Monday are fun. There is also a record store out the back. Beer garden under a big fig tree is nice place to sit in summer. Friendly staff.

Their food is extremely tasty, serving sizes are huge and affordable. The owners will probably hate my guts for giving them a 5 star rating, mainly because they seem to be concerted effort to make the shopfront look undesirable to the naive passer-by.

I thought it was impossible to have a bad breakfast in a trendy Melbourne cafe - I was wrong. I ordered a "breakfast bap" (i.e. bacon and egg roll) and coffee. The food arrived very quickly, which was odd as when I lifted the top half of the bun, I found an egg which had been cooked to the point of congealing, with blackened burnt edges. It couldn't possibly have been over-cooked to that extent in the time from my order to delivery. The bap itself had the consistency of rubber. I had asked for no cheese and there was none - but on removing the (hard) egg from the bottom half of the bun, I could see a sticky residue which looked as though cheese had been peeled off it. So, my conclusion is that the bap was precooked and heated up. Certainly, the supermarket-style hash brown on top was super-hot and obviously microwaved. I know the place is busy, but surely if I'm paying $12 for a bacon and egg roll, you could do me the courtesy of cooking it fresh? Thank goodness the coffee was good.

Awesome burgers and parmas, vegan and meat options to keep everyone happy. Every time we've been the food as been super quick and always satisfies. Whenever I order gravy on my fries the chef smothers the fries with delicious pepper gravy which is all I need in this world.

$20 All You Can Eat Tacos rocked my world. Tasty AF tacos. Legit-sized, not the tiny ones. Kudos to the chef. Best damn tacos I've had since I moved to Melbourne.

The food is delicious, big, comes out quick and is great value. Casual, cosy atmosphere, feels like a local hang out, you often see the same faces in there. Decor is a bit shabby and eclectic, which just adds to the atmosphere for me. The service is fine but don't expect it to be super attentive like a fancy restaurant-it's just not that kind of place. I love it.

A place easy to get to via the 96 tram serving large affordable portions of vegan (and non vegan food) comfort food in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff. A beautiful quaint courtyard and also a record store out the back. Free live music occasionally and events. One of my favourite spots in Melbourne.
