👍👍 A solid pho option in Melbourne's CBD. Decent broth and flavour. What I like is that they have the bean shoots, mint and lemon slices at the counter to minimise food waste. I think a lot of Vietnamese restaurants probably discard a lot of these when they place individual plates on each table. People often mention Vietnamese, good, paper,

Food is ok, and I think it’s pricey for the amount that is served. There are vegetarian options and service is quick. Small size is $8 and served in a paper cup, and large size is $14 served in a big bowl. I think they are trying to persuade you to get the larger serving indirectly 😂

It is, what it is, and what it is, is a trendy, atmospheric Vietnamese stall in the food court and nothing more. Don't expect to find the taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Sure, the music may take you back to that incredible Vietnamese Pho restaurant tucked away down some side street, where familiar aromas of spices flood the small shop. First off, the salty broth lacked both the taste and scent of pho, comparable to pho packet noodle soup you'd find at an Asian Grocer. The Banh Mi - Saigon Breakfast, which I'm fine with being a hybrid fusion of Vietnamese flavours and whatever else lacked flavour. The Wagyu beef wasn't seasoned or marinated. Essentially making it a soy sauce, egg and beef roll.

GOOD QUALITY VIETNAMESE FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICE Located in the (usually quieter) basement at Emporium, this eatery specialises in pho and rice paper rolls. Good variety to suit vegetarian and meat eaters. Tables immediatley in front of the servery so you can usually find a seat (although some table sare long share tables). Help yourself to mint, bean sprouts and chili once you've collected your medium or large bowl of pho. Sometimes can be a bit slow when they are busy - you'll get one of those coasters that buzz when your order is ready to colect. If there isnt any seating, there is a Thai / Japanese restaurant immediatley opposite which has good quality food too.

Pretty solid Bahn Mi here, very filling and full of flavour, the rice paper roll and iced tea was also pretty good, and if you get it apart of a combo the value is fairly solid.

Staff were friendly. Pho was delicious and the ice tea had the right amount of sweetness. The veg spring rolls tasted a bit uncooked. They need to provide metal forks along with spoons. It is hard to pick the smooth noodles in broth with wooden party spoons.

Pho Nom enal. Great place to sit for some great Vietnamese in the midst of a busy shopping spree. Super fast service with lots of condiments on offer. Fresh, tasty and affordable authentic Vietnamese dining. Large communal tables means you might even make a new friend.

Large bowl with lots of cakes and meat, good taste, no cinnamon flavor. Delicious bread! Located in a shopping mall, it's convenient for you to go shopping and eat.

Really flavourful banh mi with fresh ingredients. Would have been made better if the meat was warm, but overall a great banh mi. The service is a bit slow and they could benefit from rethinking their workflow, but nothing too bad.

What a disaster. My order was given to someone else. I was apparently refunded but the refund has not come through. Looks like the refund was given to the person that took my food. Horrible experience and won't be back again.

Top tier banh mi, perfect balance of crispy bread, pork and sauce. Could use more pate, but it's good. Solid size, not the biggest or the smallest. Best I've had yet

This is permanently closed (May 2023). Proof? From their Facebook page: "Phở Nom-20 April UPDATE We have chosen to close our Pho Nom Emporium store. It’s been a great ride! Thank you to everyone - staff, customers, friends, family - who have always been there for us. We’ve decided to put our focus into Pho Nom on Collins Street"

Food is not bad, and rather quick. Good for lunch break. Staff is Terribly RUDE

This place used to have great pho but now it's less than ordinary: the stock is more salty than fragrant, the noodles overcooked and the herbs and bean shoots limp and past their use by date. Oh, and the prices have increased. Not worth it. There are better places around.

Combo of small pho, rice paper roll and iced tea. Reasonable price. However the small pho was served in a paper cup! How do you eat pho in a paper regular size cup? They gave us a bowl when requested. Hardly any broth. Refused request to top up the soup. Herbs and bean sprouts stale. Worst pho I have ever eaten. Better to price higher for a decent eating experience.

I spent $7 on a cup of ice and half a cup of sugar cane juice. You know next door machi machi is about the same price but more drinks. It’s just bizarre how they charge you $7 for a cup of ice and some juice

Crispy chicken banh mi has increased in price and decreased in quality IMO. Chicken tastes blah. Can get better quality and value banh mi elsewhere in the city. I won't be back.

I did not expect this much effort at a lunch counter place. The spring rolls are hand made and freshly fried with big pieces of flavorful pork. The pho is warm and savoury and the meat generous. The vegetables are serve your own so you can put as much vietnamese mint, bean sprouts chilli and sriracha on as you like. The rice paper rolls are good with great variety. The bahn mi was good, but didn't have the warm crunchy baguette of a truly perfect bahn mi, and had a bit too much sauce for me. I like the bread and ingredients to shine, but this is good if you like it saucy. On the whole, really good.
