Beautiful pub in the river side with great options for drinks from around the world. A great location very close to Flinders stree station and federation square. The food options are great as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view of the city from the bar is beautiful especially the night view. Many of Melbourne's star attractions are around this place.

What an amazing experience I had in this bar! I went with some friends for the bottomless drink and pizza and what an amazing deal!! An ideal place to relax with a meal or just a drink. Very friendly staff. Along the river Jare with a beautiful view of the city and the river. The DJ plays live music. Booked a table for dinner and the table was waiting for us with a highchair as requested when we arrived. Service was good and quicker than expected for how busy it was. The pizza was delicious, as was the passionfruit spritz. Great location but very busy so make a reservation in advance!

Burger bun was burnt on both burgers we ordered. Tasted like charcoal, could not finish it. Fish and chips looked good, view was good.

I had my birthday here with 15 friends for bottomless drinks and pizza. We had a blast! The drinks and pizza were amazing and the service was exceptional. Our waiter named Michael was fantastic! Fabulous bar, awesome service, we booked a table on our way to the MCG to watch the Bledisloe Cup. BEST table overlooking the Yarra with a lovely view of the stadium lit up. Lovely fare.

A very busy spot where it pays to book ahead... We didn't but we're able to get a free table with the proviso of being gone before a booking turned up. Food was pretty good, particularly the Lunch Special Cauliflower Steak. Char grilled, it came with a nice sharp Salsa Verde.

The food and atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday catch up. Ordering from the table app meant we were served promptly. Glad we came before the lunch peak time, but also reserved a table, just to be sure.

Friend brought me here as a treat. Only one gluten free option which was the eggplant. I ordered the salad also and asked the staff to make it gluten free removing the bread croutons from the salad. My salad did not come gluten free. Had to send it back to the kitchen and wait another 20min. Friend ordered burger she said it was unseasoned and burnt on one side of the patty. Great views, not so great staff communication or food.

This is a picture of a $31 very well cooked steak and an overpriced average tasting $24 glass of Shiraz. They called this the full glass…but I think I got the standard? For that price I expect a mega pint! Next time, I will make sure I ask for the house red. The $21 ‘cheap’ gin and tonic was 95% ice served in a very short glass. Methinks the owners weekend tip (the I don’t want to pay my staff weekend wages, surcharge) was inflating the prices? Great spot to have a meal and watch the Yarra boat traffic, though I wouldn’t want to be here when it’s busy…

We really enjoyed our bottomless brunch at Riverland and will definitely be back. Our waiter Hero was absolutely amazing, he friendly, informative, quick with getting our orders and ensuring we had a good time.

Great place for lunch and probably dinner. I had the steak lunch special . Sitting overlooking the Yarra it was quite delightful. The steak was surprisingly good and the sides were tasty!! Hiro was exceptional and truly made our visit special! He was super friendly, very prompt, efficient and we couldn't have had a better time all thanks to him! Couldn't recommend Riverland more, especially in the hands of Hiro, our group really had the best time and our experience triumphed any other bottomless' we've had around Melbourne. Best value for money, $55 for two hours bottomless pizza and cocktails. Couldn't get a better deal anywhere else!

Amazing location, good food and drinks. We always go here when in town, always have friendly and quick service. The heaters outside are good in winter and it is fairly sheltered. Just wish it was bigger as seating can be difficult at peak times. The mulled wine in winter is amazing too!

Visited for the Hungry Yak pop-up showcasing what are arguably the best pub meals in the country. There was only one veg dish of the bunch, but it was so good that I could overlook my lack of options. The item in question was an incredible, crispy fried haloumi burger from NSW. Paired with a complementary Yak ale, it's the perfect spring bite. I've been to Riverland before to taste their normal menu and can also vouch for it. But what makes the venue are the great river views and consistently lovely staff. All in all, a good causal food and drink spot if you're in that end of the city.

Great location on the bank of Yarra, and the wagyu burger was really good. The only annoying bit of my experience was the not so polite service at the bar when I placed my order but this was handled in a swift and highly professional manner by the management.

Riverland is one of my favourite bars in Melbourne, in a great setting right next to Fed Square on the river. Due to months of lockdown, I hadn't been for some time and a celebration with work colleagues brought me here two days before Christmas. Not sure if they are accepting 'walkins' but you do have to register at the entrance and we had booked as there was a large group. Being used to the place being absolutely packed and having to stand and wait in line for a drink, it was a totally different experience this time with plenty of empty tables. Having to order through the QR code means you can't pay by cash, and being forced to pay credit card fees irks me. I also thought it cheeky that the tip default was set at 5% rather than 0, so you had to remember to change this if you didn't want to tip. The drinks menu didn't offer any tasting notes which was disappointing so ordering a glass of wine was a bit pot luck. Other venues have reverted to traditional menus and ways or ordering - going to the bar, using cash etc so not sure why Riverland can't also. On the plus side, the food, fish and chips was really good.

Have had three birthday parties here and it's always a good time. The food is amazing. I mistakenly underbooked my table tonight and the staff went out of their way to assure that everyone attending had a place to sit down despite the COVID restrictions and existing bookings.

A perfect place for an outdoor drink by the river. We went here yesterday afternoon (29 Dec at 5 pm) and everything was nice and friendly, except the reception. It took the host more than 5 minutes to direct 3 parties to tables, and the one we got was one of the only ones under the sun, without a chance to make table orders (even though there were several empty tables around us for the next 2.5 hours).

I attended this venue for my friend’s birthday. The staff were friendly, accommodating and welcoming. We agreed to do the Bottomless Pizzas and Spritz for $49, which has a 2 hour limit. The pizzas (and of course the drinks) were incredible and I had a great time with my friends. With Melbourne’s unpredictable forecast, it did begin to drizzle however the staff were quick to assemble umbrellas too. Thank you for a great experience!

Fabulous pizza's, thin bases and great toppings. The rest of the food was also really good, but the pizza was the stand-out. It was very cold when we went there but having many heaters spotted around the tables and a glass of mulled wine in my hands it really wasn't a problem. I think the QR code system of ordering and paying is brilliant, more places should really use it.

Had a lovely dinner and drinks. Staff was very accommodating. Especially the waitress Sally who was smiling and very quick to assist whenever we needed. Would come back again.

Who dafaq is Liz from all the reviews below. We only had dudes that served us, but they were great! Loved the boozy Milo, delicious on a cold winter day, definitely recommended if you go there during the winter months. My girlfriend found the setting romantic, I just loved the Milo, each to their own.

Nice place to have some good time with ya friends. Good vibes, good food, good services and the best part taking all safety measures towards covid. We ordered bread and dip. I can give it 3.5 out of 5. That lil tomoto salad was actually good with bococcini cheese.. 5on 5 for this… pizza was pretty simple as I was wanting to have vegetarian the other day, so all I could choose was plain basic Garlic pizza and As I was feeling pretty basic so right choice of food for the right mood.

Out of the 3 cocktails on the meal drinks package our group had, only 1 was actually yum, the other 2 were gross it was a waste of the pkg to be honest. GF pizza was rather nice, could've done with more toppings considering the package. The reason for my 1 less star was the fact that we came from crown on the waterside, I was pushing my gf in a wheelchair & we had to walk the entire length of 3 bars before we could get up a ramp before walking back thru the bars to get back to this one, there totally needs something for wheely clients to access easier.

Hard pressed to find a better outdoor waterfront bar/restaurant during summer in Melbourne! Drinks and food aren't too expensive and the plant-based burger & chips were delicious and of a generous portion! The staff were friendly, attentive and took COVID protocols seriously with regular cleaning of tables/railings.

Booked here for a group of 7 for late lunch and drinks on a winter Saturday. We were placed at the area near the bridge, which was lovely, toasty and covered and with a nice view. It was fairly quiet when we got there at 2:30 but when we left at 8 it was absolutely packed with a great vibe. The drinks (especially the hot apple pie!) were delicious and reasonably priced. The food was decent. Staff were lovely and friendly. Our only issue was the ordering system, long lines to order drinks/food as you order from a little bar where they are making some of the drinks at the same time. This place would be absolutely perfect with QR codes on tables or the like. Definitely recommend regardless!

It is fantastic to be back in city. It is even better to be back at Riverland for the amazing bottomless they offer. We struck gold and had Lara as our server, she was incredibly attentive and oozed customer service. Friendly, charismatic and went above and beyond. I had my birthday celebration there and honestly it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. The service was beyond excellent and they served drinks and food both so promptly. Came by for the weekday lunch special - honestly pretty impressed by what’s included. We got the steaks and accompanying salad and chips. While it’s not the highest quality steak or cut, for the $20 set it’s worth it. Along with the quiet view of the Yarra, I would return for another steak or give the schnitzel a try.

Best afternoon at Riverland Bar! Queued up for the $22 lunch special and struck up conversation with corporate staff. Apparently good deals to be had at General Assembly in South Wharf too! Food was perfection, as usual. There was the smallest hair which for all anyone knew could've been mine. Staff promptly offered a replacement but I opted for something else Amazing river views, A1 hospitality from ground staff to corporate, glad I came back!
