Huge crowd and nice music! However the three tacos I ordered lacked freshness and flavour. It was almost soggy and too liquid with the sauce . Drinks were alright but the younger staff was not friendly that night. They stood by the corner and gossiped about the customers which was not welcoming at all. When we asked for some nachos and dips which is free, the girl sneered and stared at me for taking some. Definitely not a friendly host. Over all, wouldn’t recommend for food.

If you’re coming here for drinks then it’ll be a good night. It’s a fun venue, everyone gets a sombrero, the drink towers are great and the place is huge. If you’re after good Mexican food, then you’re better off going else where. The food here was mediocre at best. The worst part would be the service, you’ll find you’ll be spending a lot of time waiting for the waiters to come around. Eventually when you do, they’ll take your order, forget the order then you’ll have to wait for them to come around again to place the same order they forgot 10 minutes before. And I don’t know how the staff don’t know the table numbers, they kept bringing food and drinks to our table that we didn’t order.

Beautiful ambiance , good vibe , tacos are delicious 🤤, burritos are topnoch, also unlimited refills of salsa and chips ! Good place to hangout with group , big menu on drinks ! Totally fantastic restaurant

Amazing Experience - Great food and even better Cocktails…after visiting El Camino Sydney and not being that impressed we tried our luck at the Melbourne venue from start to finish flawless! Our waitress Helena went above and beyond with her excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail she made our experience one to remember give the gal a pay rise xx I’ve attached pics to confirm the fun we had!

Definitely a party vibe in this place. Food is ok, with plenty to choose from. Typical Mexican fare. Drinks are pricey. Area is large with lots of seating options. The cooling system is not great, so don't go on a hot night!!! I love that everyone gets to take their sombrero hat home with them!! Ordering drinks and food is via the table app, this makes it very easy for large groups!

El Camino is certainly a great Mexican dine in place you should put on your outings list. Very affordable and the food is delicious, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun and practical. Was great for our work function luckily we got a quiet night but heard it's gets very busy which would make it more enjoyable. Recommend for work oustings for sure and general dinning.

This place is enormous! at the time there was no one but us so the hostess Sunny and Carl were amazing to us. unfortunately this is where the good stuff ends. The food was a bit on the plain side and lacked flavour, something that you need to think about given the prices which In my opinion doesn’t reflect on the quality you’re getting. One good thing though was the free tortillas they give as the starter. perhaps tthe famous $2 taco tuesday might change my mind but it will need a lot of convincing to bring me back here.

Visited here for my friend’s birthday celebration and was keen to see what it’s all about after seeing so much hype about it. I can confirm it’s a vibrant and fun venue! Very quick service, and easy ordering system via a QR code for the table. The food was great, and drinks even better with quite the variety to choose from. Finally, the staff were friendly and accomodating to the needs of our group. Would definitely visit again in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised when the restaurant replied to my review with a promise to discuss further however I didn’t get a reply to the email I sent. It is a little disappointing however only commenting on the experience I’ve had so far. — Atmosphere is certainly catered to a younger crowd with loud music and a fun party atmosphere which is great for group catch ups. I found the food to be disappointing for the price, and reminiscent of something you could get in a food court. The drinks are okay however look nothing like how they are advertised on their menu so you should temper your expectation on those. The staff were really friendly and attentive which was great.

Went on a Tuesday. It was Taco Tuesday and you can get $2 tacos when you order a drink. They were good. We also had the Burrito which was really good.

Groovy atmosphere and excellent venue/attention to detail. Service was prompt. Food itself was thoroughly mediocre - so much so, it inspired me to write this review. Ordered Burrito bowl with grilled chicken and guacamole. Came as shown in pic attached. Half lettuce, tiny amount of bland chicken breast on a bed of similarly bland mexican rice with what appeared to be a teaspoon of sour cream and bega cheese thrown in (the guacamole? Absent). Complete ripoff for $28. Only gave 2 stars because was edible and didn't overtly contain poison. Better off whipping up something tastier in your own kitchen buying 'old el paso' ingredients from local supermarket. Poor restaurant relative to standard in Fitzroy.

Where do I begin. A truly beautiful venue for all sorts of Mexican foods/drinks. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was mind blowing 🤯 tasty and highly recommend everyone try it out. Melbourne you got the best foods in the globe hands down.

Beautiful food! Highly recommend the tacos. Was great to have options when ordering through the phone app that you can remove Onion, cabbage etc due to food allergies. You get given free corn chips and dip, though the dip bowls were a little tiny to dip the corn chips in. Was odd there was a venue charge at 6.7% and service fee ontop of the bill though Great bright colourful venue, they had lots of variety of drinks options Great atmosphere for a group gathering or function

Dined in on 15/01 evening. Manager on shift was wonderful. Super nice and so easy to talk to. He was really great and we loved being served by him. The nerds drink was not so tasty. They weren’t like the other chains. Yummy complimentary corn chips and salsas!

Very fun Mexican restaurant. The place is huge and very cool decorated with neons and grafitis. At every seat there is a Mexican hat that you can wear while you it and makes the whole thing even funnier. Food was very nice. You get free chips and salsa and we ordered guacamole on top which came with extra chips. We then tried different tacos and they were very delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

This place was great. We went on a Wednesday when they had the deal of 20 chicken wings for $2 with the purchase of any drinks. The chicken wings with the Texas BBQ sauce was amazing. We also had the corn chips with guacamole which was equally good. The prices were quite affordable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was good. The music wasn’t too loud which was pleasant. The staff was really helpful but I do wish they were a bit more friendly/warm/welcoming. Overall, this place was great and we’re definitely coming back

Food and drinks are of very high quality and we enjoyed our experience. It would be great to work on the music and perhaps play some authentic Mexican music, instead of commercial style English music.

Atmosphere and the extra touch of the hats is so good. Food and drinks were orders via QR code. My nachos arrived in good time, a little longer for the margaritas, and then the wings my husband ordered took ages to arrive. The food was good but it was annoying to be eating when he didn’t have his food.

Your stock standard Mexican restaurant really. Nothing overly special about this place. A fairly uncreative menu. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but it's the same thing you'd find anywhere. Nothing like the weird and wonderful menu you find at Hecho en Mexico. The venue was a bit cavernous for me. I'd usually venture somewhere a bit more cozy. There's nothing to complain about really, this place would be good for a large function. It's just that I probably won't be back.

$2 taco Tuesday isn't really $2 taco Tuesday as you get only a couple of tacos at $2 while the others are $4 etc when you buy a drink. Good thing is you can buy a soft drink if you don't drink alcohol. According to the menu though beers like Corona were out of stock. Food seemed to be made more commercially as it lacked that authentic taste. Brisket taco was good though.

Really nice place, it's really big so very handy for birthdays or big get together. They have sombreros for everyone that goes there, it's quiet funny! We went on a Wednesday and they have $2 chicken wings with any drink but I could see a $2 taco on Tuesdays. I would definitely go back because the food was delish!!!

Went here for drinks. Our margaritas on the rocks were great. The staff brought over complimentary chips and dip which was super unexpected & kind. Staff were kind & helpful from the moment we walked in. Will definitely go again. Highly recommend.

Just loved this place and will be back. The restaurant itself has lots of colour and something to catch your eye everywhere you look. The food is easily up there amongst the best Mexican food in Melbourne. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and beautiful. They were busy but Service still on point.

It's definitely one of the best restaurant and bar in Melbourne. Enjoyed it with my mate on last Sunday. No special deals on Sundays. But during weekdays they have happy hours and weekend deals. Friendly staff and really a safe and chill environment. They mostly have their own house made cocktails (diff flavours)with big glasses for 20 bucks. I would say that's a worth a buck. No where in Melbourne you would get that much of quantity for that price. Coming to food, yeah typical Latin food and snack. I liked it so far. Over all, total family frndly, good with groups defo.

An excellent evening was instantly put in motion by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. A classy yet cozy ambiance. A taste combination that was perfect and left a lasting impact. Dessert was even more amazing, offering a delightful cap to an already excellent dinner. Providing a culinary experience rather than merely a meal. Anyone looking for an amazing experience should definitely go there!

I'll start this off by saying I'm a regular here and it's a great starting point for a night out. The food is pretty average but at least it's consistent - and portions are generous. The drinks are always fabulous. Service is fast and friendly despite the it always being packed. My main complaint is the bathrooms - they are horrendous. They seem to get worse every time I visit. I understand it's a busy venue but I was there on Saturday and found vomit in the sink which is so off putting. The bathrooms also reeked so badly of urine that I couldn't finish my meal and was feeling sick. Please do better! I love coming here with friends for drinks, but the bathrooms are consistently foul.

Adiel and Denny provided amazing service and the food was excellent! The taco Tuesday night deals were hard to say no to and will be here on Wednesday for the same deals!!! Great place for friends highly recommend!

absolutely wonderful service and food and definitely worth coming down to. i would have to say the only downside would be is that the prices are moderate compared to some other places but definitely worth it. would definitely recommend for groups, couples and even just eating by yourself as they have something for everyone!

Charlie was our server, he was very lovely and extremely welcoming as well as displayed a unique style of exceptional customer service my partner and I have not experienced anywhere else. We were very pleased with our experience here and will be returning.

We were at a booked table of 22 for a 2 hour bottom less food and drink, it took us an hour to get cups and one bottle of water water and in the last half and hour to get any food, we had hardly any service in our reserved spot. Our food we did get was not hot or it was soggy or incomplete , for our tacos we had a sprinkle of cheese to share. We booked in advance and everyone in our group seemed dissatisfied and unsatisfied. We paid $89 per head for one taco and not strong drinks. We were actively ignored by the staff to the point we asked for a question without even looking at us, their were a lot of staff downstairs and hardly any even looking at the upstairs setting
