It’s prettyyy good and one of the best fried chicken places in Melb. I really enjoy the breading as it is crispy and the chicken is VERY juicy and moist. I prefer the wings over drumsticks and their mac n cheese slaps. Only let down is the pickles - I personally prefer crisp pickles

We tried the drumsticks made to order woth the original level of spice and crinkle cut chips. The fries were very well seasoned and addictive. The chicken was not spicy for us and was probably a new kind of chicken taste that must be growing on us. We'd definitely like to have it again, this time with a bit more confidence to try a higher spice level.

Absolutely tremendous from the moment I walked in to the moment I rolled out... Staff were wonderful, food delicious and overall price very reasonable. Been heaps of times before COVID and I'm happy to report that they haven't lost a step. Please do your self a favour, visit, enjoy and eat some chicken.

Meals were spot on, super delicious! Got the tenders with chicken salt and blue cheese, such a terrific combo. Mac n cheese was next level, so good! Also got a spicy chicken sandwich which not only tasted amazing but wasn’t too spicy which was good. Also got the potato and gravy which was so delicious too. Ordered a couple of cocktails which had a nice twist and were great compliments to the meals. Had to wait a while for our meals but when one of the staff realised he offered us complimentary drinks which was a really nice and appreciated gesture. Great location and love the old diner vibe. Can’t wait to return!

Now that was some good Southern style hot chicken. Top marks. Best chicken I've had ever. I've just moved here from Queensland in February, im loving the food. Edit: forgot to take the photo before I finished, I got the medium spice chicken tenders, with chips and ranch sauce and my house-mate got hot chicken drumsticks with Blue cheese sauce with Mac 'n' Cheese. We also had a beer while we waited (a very nice malty mid strangth)

Yum! The drumsticks here are so juicy and zesty. I love them! The 'traveller' heat level is good if you want something with just a slight spice. Another recommendation is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It is my friend's regular order whenever he comes here. For the sides, the Mac & Three Cheese and Potato & Gravy are soooo delicious!!! I would totally order them as main meals if there were an option to. The staff here are also so friendly and accomodative. Thumbs up from me! 👍

Same great food as the Elizabeth St location. Be sure to plan ahead. The place is small and fills up quickly. There was a two hour wait for a bar stool when I went Friday. Saturday lunch was fine no wait.

Just yum! Went here after the titanic exhibition for a late lunch. Im a really big fan of the original drumsticks with slaw. The chips were crunchy and the gravy is really good. Also love the pickles. I wish the pickled veggies side was still available. A must try if you're in the area.

Most Excellent! The meal was so good! Got the sandwich, a wing and a tender. The ‘secret’ Carolina reaper based sauce was mind blowing, probably the 2nd spiciest I’ve enjoyed. Thanks for the staff recommend on that! Only thing I had a minor issue with, chef wouldn’t allow the sandwich patty to be tossed in a different sauce. I would have loved that sandwich even spicier. The place was fantastic with an old school diner vibe with a full bar. Definitely a spot to check out for some spicy eats and a cold beverage.

Went here for the $30 all you can eat wings and let me tell you, it was sensational! The wings were do beautifully seasoned crispy, hot and sooooo juicy. The sauces it came with were delicious as well and the chips were nicely seasoned and crispy and the slaw was good as well. The staff here were so nice and quick to take your order for more wings. The wings to take a little bit to come out but they still come out fast enough that you get your money's worth. They definitely do seem to coat the flavour on more with each serving that you get, so that you can't eat as much, but it was still enjoyable. Food 8/10 (lost some points soley for the cheeky flavour increase) Service 10/10 Location 7/10 Price 10/10

Spot on, some of the best fried chicken iv had in Melbourne. The spicy sandwichs are fantastic, the "hot" tenderloins a true to there word and some of the best potato and gravy I think iv ever had, The staff are super friendly and the venue is nice and cosy. Well done guys - Will return 10/10

🍴 Chicken was nice. Had the spicy burger which was very nice. Didn't find it too spicy. 💰 Price was reasonable. 🤵 Staff were friendly and accommodating 🚻 Amenities were clean and in good condition ------------- 🔄 Repeatability: Probably a once off Tips from your local guide: 1. Wouldn't stress about the heat, go for the number 3.

Finally got in here for a late lunch today as I was craving a chicken sandwich. Awesome service walked us through the menu and great recommendations. The hot chicken sandwich was a hit with the perfect flavour that really creeped up on me at the end. Stacey got some tenders and a side of mash and gravy which she loved! We also go a jug of the draught beer brewed by pirate life, which paired perfectly 🍻 I’ll def be back to have a crack at the 90 minute all you can eat wings for $30 what a deal! Great vibes and awesome chicken 🍗

We just needed to grab a snack on the way to somewhere. We only grabbed the big wings with original spice level which were soooo good. Such a good amount of rub and juicy chicken beneath. Wasn’t expecting them to be so tasty and will definitely return for another feed. We also got the chips and gravy which were ok but a little underwhelming. Gravy was quite watery and in a little plastic takeaway container. Definitely need to go back for the fried chicken.

Hits the spot! Everything here was great! I was a huge fan of the chicken tenders and they had excellent chips. We got all the chicken at the spice level “traveler” which was perfect, not too spicy but had a little kick. We got the chicken and waffles too which they only serve on the weekend :)

This place was wonderful, loved the diner vibe. The music was great, some random person sitting beside me was giving me recommendations of what to order because it was my first time. Which was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful as well! I ordered the : 1. chicken tenders - hot spice level, and the Mac& cheese as a side. Chicken is tender, juicy, crispy and spicy. The spice is a mouth numbing spice, I don't know how else to explain it. Mac &cheese was yum. Side note add some chicken + mac& cheese+ pickle to the bread and make a sammich. 2. Spicy Chicken Sandwich with fries on the side. Tasted like a bougie version of the spicy chicken mc deluxe from MC Donald's to me. Overall I'd recommend a try. Paid around 48AUD for both the meals.

Great joint! The OG hot chicken venue in Melbourne, and didn't disappoint. Was feeling a bit under the weather due to seeing The Darkness the night before, and this perked me right up. Peach iced tea was on point, spicy burger was rad! Traditional wings were a touch too salty but flavour was great. Highly recommend!

Such a fun concept - loved this American diner styled restaurant. We both got the chicken tenders - for me mild ‘traveller’ and my partner got the ‘really fking hot’ and it was definitely really fkn hot which he was very pleased with! Service was excellent, kind and they were very informative with the menu. Also got the Belle’s beer on tap which was very refreshing! Only thing I could note is that it is quite expensive for what it is and sauce should come complimentary. Besides that would love to come back for the weekend waffles!

It was my first time visiting, and I experienced a pleasant taste and service with detailed explanations and recommendations. If you like spicy taste, I recommend it. I loved the mashpotato and gravy.

I visited this place and absolutely loved its American vibe. On a Sunday night, it wasn't busy at all, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was that the chips had too much salt. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

The service was great. The guy who served us was fun and knowledgeable. The food was ok, i had the medium hot chicken drumsticks, I wish they had a pressure fryer as they are somewhat tough and not pleasant to eat. I tasted my daughters tenders, and they had way too much seasoning, so the outside was dry and not very nice to eat. If you don't know how they season the chicken, it is after they cook it with a seasoning shaker in a bowl, so it can be overdone easily. I am sure it could be fantastic it's just not for us.

Went in with one other and the place was pretty quiet but they didn’t want to give us the booth. Said it’s for big groups even though the other booths were taken by a couple and a lady on her own. Eventually got the booth after asking 3 times. Food was okay. Blue cheese dip is really good. Chicken was meh. Mac and cheese was all mashed up. Food is okay but there’s definitely better. The diner style atmosphere is nice. One thing I found weird was the metal straws :/.

we had the chicken wings and the tenders, both with the hot sauce and they were really good. maybe a tiny bit too salty for my taste, but nothing to complain about. the staff was super friendly and the food came extremely fast!

Edit Sep 2022: Went back 2 days later. The spicy chicken sandwich is even better than the chicken pieces. But the fries this time had too much salt on them, which I never say as I am an absolute salt fiend. Sep 2022: Excellent A+ fried chicken, fries and gravy. Meat is massive - from giant sized chickens 😂🐔 Take away Ordering system needs work though (-1 star) as: 1) ordered an "extra wing" but couldn't choose the spice level on it 2) Set a pick up time (for me to get from store) at 1245. Get a text from Mr Yum saying "we'll text you when ready as can take longer". I get a text at 12:36 saying it is ready! So I have to walk 5 mins to get it and have it get cold. They should be ready at 12:45 (or later and advise you if so). As anyone who has ever caught a train before, an early train can be even more annoying than a late one! 3) The system has a few bugs in it and a lot of repetition, E.g. chips are an option two times in the one list, gravy was put in twice at two different prices etc

Did go there to dine in on a Tuesday night but was full. We did ask for a table for two and was told no. Two minutes later a group of three got seated. To order take away took around 45 minutes. Was asked to wait outside due to the space. Luckily work was only a ten min walk back to eat. The Food: Buffalo chicken sandwhich was great, tasty and flavourism with the right amount of spice and mix. The chips and gravy, despite being crinke cut were good. They give you the gravy in small tubs so when you pour it onto the chips it only covers about half. My two other colleagues also enjoyed their meals.

We were visiting from Newcastle so our daughter and daughter in law took us to Belle's. I'm not going to lie, it's definitely sometimes food but it was very yummy indeed. Loved the choices of chicken and spice too!! The traditional lemonade (I spent time living in the USA) was a credit to them. Very busy but a very happy venue on Friday night.

Friendly staff, delicious food and good value in a ‘hip’ part of town :) Lucky we went on the weekend and waffles were on! Only gripe, if you can call it that, is the chicken is not spicy….at all, so forget the lower heat levels and go all out.
