👍👍 We came here for the brand new “Fractured: Remember Me” room and had the most amazing time! Great location for parking and easy to find. Our host was HILARIOUS and had me engaged even before the experience began. I'd done a few escape rooms before but the incorporation of technology into the puzzles... People often mention room, escape, experience, puzzles, rooms, great, time, staff, Fractured, Chris,

We came here for the brand new “Fractured: Remember Me” room and had the most amazing time! Great location for parking and easy to find. Our host was HILARIOUS and had me engaged even before the experience began. I'd done a few escape rooms before but the incorporation of technology into the puzzles completely blows the concept out of the water! Cannot rave enough about it without giving anything away - definitely recommend!

What a great family activity. We chose one with 3 star difficulty so our son could participate. It was great. Variety of puzzles and clues and the staff running the facility were friendly and super helpful.

First time doing an escape room with my friend and the clue giving was really bad and not helpful. Wouldn’t recommend going again. The bloke kept telling us to focus on one thing but really needed to focus on another which threw us off on a tangent.

My second time here and had a blast again! Highly recommend the Fractured and Magic Emporium rooms. Been to a couple of dud escape rooms before but ERM does not disappoint. Atmospheric, imaginative and very immersive.

Fun experience, really enjoyed the time. The puzzle was not overly difficult, despite we requested clue several time, still manage to escape the room with in time 😆 will definitely check out other rooms in the future.

Great experience in the veteran’s head! One of the best escape room we ever had! We are not English native speakers so some puzzles were a bit tricky, but still an amazing experience. The room atmosphere is great, puzzles inventive, fun to solve and challenging which is a real plus after 15+ experiences

Have done quite a few escape rooms now. This one was good, however the mining room that we did I felt that it lacked a little. A high percentage of rooms generally have loads of little puzzles that are solved within around 5 mins.. This room had far less puzzles and things to solve. Just felt a little anti-climactic. Was still fun though.

Kellar's Magic Emporium is an incredibly immersive escape room that fully captures the essence of a magician's world. The attention to detail in the puzzles and props is impressive, creating an atmosphere that truly transports you to another time and place. The level of challenge is just right, making it a fun and engaging experience for both beginners and experienced escape room enthusiasts. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service throughout our experience. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond made our visit even more enjoyable. Thank you 😊

Chris hosted our escape room experience and it was amazing, and definitely creepy. Kellars magic emporium is the best (though only) escape room I’ve ever been to. Definitely recommend.

Overall great experience, the room was challenging without being impossible to complete. This was my first experience with an escape room and I'm glad we choose this one. We completed the Kellar’s Magic Emporium and was pleased with the atmosphere of the room. The staff were great and helpful too.

We attempted the Fractured escape room. The puzzles were challenging but fascinating and it was clear to see the level of detail and planning that went into the setup. Although we were unsuccessful in escaping, we had too much fun to even care. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The room was meant to take 1hr 45min, we easily escaped in 45minutes. There was damaged props which gave away answers to the puzzles before we were able to read the clues. Puzzle boxes werent linked which really broke the atmosphere. (In previous escape rooms we have done a calender was provided or a number system on the boxes which made it possible to know which box came next). This has been our least favourite escape room out of the 5 we have done.

Fractured was flat out just a great freaking room. Really ingenious puzzles, great theming, and captivating story. It was such a different concept and I really loved it. We've already booked in to come back for another room this afternoon. The whole concept of the room was great. It was such a different experience digging through someone's memories, and the atmosphere was really cool. It was all very ethereal, and the theatrics involved in the first few minutes were a great addition. The puzzles were mostly well thought out and worked quite well. There were a few that felt really well designed and helped the story along (we felt like we were really getting to know the guy), A few others were quite showy and impactful that didn't add to the story as much but were really impressive and cool. My only note would be one of the puzzles really let the side down (even after the host showed us how to do it afterwards we still didn't really get it). Other than that, it was all great. Our host was Chris, who was helpful, friendly, and handsome. Everything you'd like in someone helping you through a room ;)

The puzzles in the mine where very fun and creative the host was nice and friendly. However one of the puzzles components was broken so it was almost impossible to progress without calling for a hint, this was extremely frustrating and the overall experience worse.

We go to play escape room only 2 people. But this place give us a vibe of mysterious and in a magical world when we first walk in. The host is very attentive, joyful. He sends out a lot of clues and hint during our time without being ask. We play Mr.Keller room, and the room is giving the horror and magical theme. I feel like I am the character inside the room story, trying to look for clues. We will come back for another theme haha

Husband and I were here a couple of weeks ago on a week long trip in Melbourne and binged quite a few escape rooms. These guys were good, we did Kellar's Magic Emporium and Fractured. Fractured was quite different to any we've done before, I enjoyed the vibes/setting of Kellar's Magic Emporium

  • 5/5 Thomas S. 7 months ago on Google • 17 reviews
Over this last weekend I completed the Fractured puzzle and have previously completed the Magic Emporium one. My only gripe is that I can never again experience those puzzles with fresh eyes. These puzzles were wonderfully created with each element serving a purpose in weaving a unforgettable narrative. You have a time limit of 70 minutes for each puzzle, and if you are methodical in your solving, you're going to need the time. If however you get stuck, your guide is on the other end of a walkie talkie to nudge you in the right direction. If you go and visit Escape Room Melbourne, do yourself a favour and avoid all spoilers for an unforgettable experience.

Kellar's Magic Emporium was an awesome experience for the four of us. Everything worked fantastically with great puzzles, set design, and storyline. We had such a fun time, and each of us solved little puzzles. Extremely fun room with more than you'd expect! Just like another reviewer said, I'm sad I can't experience this again with fresh eyes! Run to Escape Room Melbourne!!! 10/10!

Brilliant escape room, with brilliant staff. I've done over 50 escape rooms (although our performance on this one certainly didn't show it), and the Mine Escape room at ERM is one of the much better. The puzzles were intuitive, entertaining and worked well with the story of the room. My partner and I accidentally booked the room for the wrong day, but the staff were able to accomodate for us. Highly recommend, and will be back to try out the other rooms!

  • 2/5 Kate L. 11 months ago on Google
I honestly was expecting a much better experience. Perhaps it is just a staff issue but it was the worst experience I have had doing escape rooms before. Before we went in, the staff knew that we booked "fractured" because could not book the easier rooms. He told us that we could ask for as many hints as we wanted without penalty, but then we were refused hints when we were in the room. Being stuck on the first clue for 35 minutes we did a small portion of the room, which did seem fun but there was no way we could finish the room in the time allocated (which we can't see how long in the room). This is also the first time we are not shown through the rest of the room at the end. It seems like we were tricked into paying multiple times in hope of completing the room. I am hesitant to paying again for this reason.

Sophisticated room design and prop that help you get into the story. We have done Kellors Magic Emporium, mine escape and fracture and we loved all of them. There was unfortunately some tech issue for mine escape, but we still got out with some help. My favourite escape room in Melbourne so far, cant wait for more designs to come out.

I'll start by saying I've completed around 15 escape rooms, across several companies and Escape Room Melbourne create the most intriguing, atmospheric and well sequenced room experience by far! Attention to detail, unique puzzles and the combined critical / cryptic thinking form the perfect formula for an escape experience that stays with you long after it ends. I've enjoyed every room across their several sites thus far, but my favourite has been Burlesque at Oakleigh. Totally immersive experience!

We did the Keller’s Magic Emporium room and it was great! The puzzles were a good difficulty for 2 of us and the rooms had a really good atmosphere with lots of creative and unusual puzzles to get through in the 70 mins. The host was really nice too and offered explanations of the puzzles afterwards

  • 4/5 Stuart B. 1 year ago on Google
Mine room was a little too simple. Linear puzzles means there's less to think about and you only need to think about the last clue. Good team, room could use a little more depth in story. Did the Magic emporium this time, again linear puzzles. A little more challenging than mine room. But not overly complex. Theme and props were great but a little worse for wear

Out of all the escape room centres around the city, this is the best one. All the rooms here hit the mark in terms of puzzles, interactive storytelling, and value for money. Mine Escape is simple, but exciting and well-executed. Considering the plethora of mine themed escape rooms (there’s four just in the city alone), this one has some really cool puzzles that makes sense in the theming. Quite tricky. Kellar’s Magic Emporium is a special gem of a room. Not quite like anything else I’ve seen in terms of interactive storytelling and building of tension. The room, considering its age, is gorgeous and captures a whimsical yet eerie environment perfectly within its quaint confines. As suggested on the website, the room has creepy elements. By the end of the room, my heart was pounding. Fractured (the last room my partner and I completed) was the perfect capstone to the three rooms at this centre and my personal favourite of the three. While simple in design and scale, the storytelling is once again unmatched. Most definitely the trickiest of the three rooms. Beautiful, immersive storytelling. While escape rooms are still a new form of entertainment, it is amazing to see just how innovative this place has been with all of their rooms despite its relatively long tenure amongst its competitors. This is a place I have not regretted visiting each time and I truly wish there was more for me to experience from the creators. Definitely come here for one of the best escape room experiences I’ve had in the country. Special thank you to Simon for hosting our games each time we were here. Great to have a chat with you.

Complete rubbish. Previous group had disconnected one of the props that was no fixed and we wasted a bunch of time asking for help. It was my daughters birthday party and one of the worst events I have attended.

I completed 'Fractured' with my family, my sister was visiting interstate with her girlfriend and figured that experiences like games are always a great way to have stories together afterwards! Despite us turning up late, our Game Room Master, Chris, was nothing short of delightful. He helped us come to grips with the narrative & rules, with some guidance on how best to interact with the puzzle side of things. Truthfully, we weren't the best candidates for 'Fractured' which is the most difficult game they have. If your party have done escape rooms before, it's a real treat. Most of our cohort-- had not. HOWEVER, Chris was determined for us to have a fun time, not a frustrating time. He was generous with clues over the walkie-talkie, but just enough so we were still solving a good bulk of the puzzles. The ambience created by the light & sound were quite immersive, as were all of the props. We did actually make it out! *JUST BARELY* but we did! Chris then debriefed with us & prompted a line of questioning that allowed us to reflect in a positive manner towards each other. It definitely inspired me to want to come back with some other brains (read: friends) so that I can have another experience like it again! Thank you so much! :)

Escape room was great, we did the Keller Magician escape room. As a group of 4, it was a great build up of tension and the level of difficulty was perfect for us. Chris was very helpful whenever we got stuck and was very welcoming and friendly. He even recommended us a lovely place for dinner. Love u Chris <3

First time escape room goer and wow Chris from ERM really made it an experience! Amazing service from the minute we stepped foot into the building. Myself and three others did the Magic Emporium escape room and had an amazing time. Lots of screams (apologies to Chris who had to deal with the high pitched noises coming from our room), lots of laughs, and a whole lot of fun. My friends had even mentioned how this escape room at ERM was 10x better than the escape rooms at Crown Melbourne! Highly recommend and look forward to trying a new room!

  • 5/5 Kay C. 11 months ago on Google
Did Fractured and would highly recommend to everyone who has experience and loves doing escape rooms. This room (in my experience) has a variety of puzzles with different mechanisms, which makes it more interesting than some other more popular escape rooms where most puzzles rely on just finding lock combinations.

This was our 6th room experience. There was no timer in the room and no place to put our stuff! One puzzle was not functioning. Storyline was attractive but it had too many distractions! In overall, that's not a place that we would attend again. Thank you.

  • 5/5 Amelia M. 1 year ago on Google
The production values and story at this venue were fantastic. I played with a first-timer who is now a convert! As a team of two, we didn't finish Fractured in time and that's on me. I honestly forgot the disclaimer about this one being hard while I was booking, because I had read so many descriptions trying to pick a good room to do. But we loved the theme, and had too much fun and sense of accomplishment on individual puzzles to feel defeated. The variety and creativity of challenges was impressive. Chris was a great host and gave helpful hints. We're keen to challenge ourselves again at Escape Room Melbourne!

Visited during a trip to Melbourne and loved it. We chose the Mineshaft room which was very well organised. The puzzles were varied enough that everyone felt included in solving them, each of us having roughly the same amount of solutions by completion. • 5/5 Richard T. 2 years ago on Google
My friends and I completed 'Fractured', and it was every bit as immersive as they promised on the website. Gamemasters were very nice and lobby was small but atmospheric. The room itself was just a treasure trove of clues of all kinds. Some red herrings would have been nice but that's just personal preference. Price was reasonable as we were given 70 rather than the usual 60. Clues are given via walkie talkie rather than themed narration/voiceovers. Overall, my friends and I walked out feeling like it was one of the best escape rooms we've been in for a while. Hats off to the team!

  • 5/5 The Last S. 2 years ago on Google
The place could use a little more interior budget but they survived hard times and the game is decently done, took us 50 mins to complete so it was worth the experience overall, the challenges were a easy to hard leaning in slowly through difficulty, effective labels and good presentation of the room is great but the lead in explanation had more than we thought to it. Escape rooms are fun and I recommend anyone trying it at least above 8 years old due to height of many objectives which could cause some minor issues.

If you’re a big guy like me, escape rooms might not be your thing. But let me tell you, me and my family enjoyed this place so much we could not stop talking about it all the way home. My first time at an escape room, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. This place wont disappoint!!

We just played Fractured this afternoon, initially we rated this experience one star, however management handled our complaint well so Ive revised feedback to 5 stars. Glenn has completed 6 escape rooms including two in Bali and a couple locally in Melbourne, it was our first time at ERM, and Sansel’s first ever escape room. We were looking forward to an ERM escape given that you were the first in Melbourne and had heard almost entirely good reviews from others. First impressions are that the room is new and well designed, and the theme is clearly well thought out and well implemented with great production values in the visuals and high quality props. To be honest though – after completing only 4 puzzles during our time, and requiring assistance on every single puzzle in the room, we were underwhelmed.

I've done all the rooms that ERM have had to offer - and I have always had so much fun. For context - I have done over 100 escape rooms. ERM's rooms are always very immersive, with original puzzles that are a good mix of physical/mental challenges. All round very rewarding experience!! Would definitely recommend their rooms for first time escapers - it'll leave you wanting more for sure. I would like to mention though - that the GMs have been hit and miss. My only feedback would be to standardise how GMs approach customers and moderate their games to enhance the experience.

We've done all of ERM's rooms and I've been impressed with each one of them and have been closely following and anticipating rooms that come out in the future. The last room my group did the "Fractured" room which had a great theme and amazing puzzles. They have definitely upped their tech in their puzzles which made them even more immersive. Unlike other escape rooms ERM's puzzles are very thought out and thinks outside the box. You won't find endless puzzles of padlocks and/or math puzzles which to me many escape rooms tend to default to - which is pure laziness. You can tell the staff are all very passionate about what they do and it resonates. If I had to give any sort of feedback - Although we didn't ask for many 'hints' during our last visit, perhaps 'hints' can be a little more immersive to the theme... A note slipped underneath the door, or maybe in form of the subconscious mind? Thinking out loud. My group also found Fractured to be one of the easier rooms but it was probably because we had done all the other rooms including the ones in Oakleigh and have become 'experts'.

Great experience! However, I felt like that instructions could be been explained more clearly as some people may of never heard of the idea of escape room.

The absolute attention to detail on the experience is unmatched with anything else. There was such a good twist near the end and I loved it. But we had to use a hint for that which now seems just so obvious!!!

👍 Had the strike bowling a couple of weeks ago and had so much fun. The venue is in Melbourne Central Mall and was packed. Lots of families and kids are having fun. It got laser tag and other activities too. After 8pm no kids are allowed. Better to make bookings rather than walking in and so you won't...

😠 We did the School of Magic and felt the entire experience fell flat. There was zero immersion and the storyline didn’t at all translate to our puzzles or made sense. Staff were not properly trained or simply didn’t care about how to create the atmosphere needed for an escape room. In fact, we were t...

😠 Used to go nearly have a bowl every Wednesday play mulitiple games and have a blast with a core group of friends. Then a change in specials and a drop in costumer service pushed me and my group of friends away. To add to it on a separate occasion Strike refused to honour a Tuesday special because th...
