While the road in is closed, you can still reach it by taking the O'Shannassy Aqueduct track, although it's 6 to 7 km which is about 2 hours walk (one way). And the walk is mostly flat with great views of the forest. Mountain biking in would be yet an even better option.

Right here in Victoria, you will find magical redwood trees. Despite its small size, the forest is filled with tall trees that make for beautiful photos. So enjoy a book by the water or play hide-and-seek. There is a car park just in front of the forest, so it's a minute's walk to the woods. Besides the walking tracks, there are several cool creeks and shady spots for picnics. A small nest has been created by visitors so that others can take beautiful pictures of it. And there are no toilets, so plan accordingly. The nearest toilets are 3.4km away. Address: 410A Woods Point Rd, East Warburton VIC 3799 Best to stop at the toilets on the way in. There are also toilets in Warburton town. It's best to drive here. Public transport is tricky as the frequency is not great. Also, it's very hard to get uber or taxi to town from Redwood forest.

Well, personally I don’t mind exploring the small forest with other visitors (as long as the amount is reasonable). Actually, the other weekday when I was roaming around the forest with my partner, I came across other people meditating in the bush or on a cut trunk. Nobody bothered them in the least. They inspired me to sit a while for meditation. It was a really beautiful experience.

A magic 'little' forest of California redwoods right here in Victoria. The forest is not that big but the trees themselves are breathtakingly tall and make for some wonderful photos. Our kids loved running through and hiding amongst the shady redwoods. The introduced giants are also amongst some lovely native forests and the park offers some peaceful places to sit on the banks of Cement Creek. Parking can be a bit fierce during busy times.

Very nice redwood forest with big tall tree. Car park is just in front of the forest so literally 1 min walk in. Easy access to everyone. Also have big grass field and tree surrounding for picnic and party gathering. Suitable to bring family, kids or elders. Also have a coffee van in front of the forest for coffee lovers or just fancy a drink.

The redwoods are impressive and it's nice to see and hear the bat colony living up the trees. This is one of the most Instagrammed nature spots near Melbourne so be prepared for that kind of crowd. The 2km walking track going around the plantation is well worth it and has a nice creek next to it part of the way.

One of my favourite places to visit with the kids or interstate visitors located east of Melbourne. The forest is also known as Sherwood Forest a short 10 minute drive out of the township of Warburton. The densely planted Californian Redwoods form a perfectly lined tree area that is approximately 100m by 100m in size. Walking amongst the tall trunks is so freeing and wonderful. Big ‘nests’ line the forest floor made from the fallen branches which kids and adults can climb into. At the top end of the forest there is parking for approximate 30-40 cars but this can easily fill on busy weekends. At the bottom end of the forest is a less dense bush land and stream which you could easily spend 2 hours exploring. The bush land is not very well signed so one can get very lost if you step off the main tracks. Not to be missed. Enjoy!

The Cement Creek Redwood Forest in the Yarra Ranges National Park has become an increasingly popular site for visitation over the last few years thanks to the enchanting and photogenic Californian Redwood trees. Its dense forest is the beauty on itself. The alignment of plantations is mesmerizing. When you're there Please note: There are no toilets on site (closest are located at the East Warburton Public Hall) No picnic tables or shelters are available Phone reception can be limited, depending on your provider No dogs are permitted No fires are permitted No camping is permitted No firearms/shooting is permitted All rubbish must be taken home as no bins are provided No drones

Very nice Redwood Forest and so easy to walk around. So many tall young and old tree. With few mins walk, there is a creek. Many parking in front. There is no official one entrance to walk inside forest. The whole car park is the entrance. This forest is accessible by wheelchair.

This place is magical and serene at the best of times, but I chose to visit ½ hour before sunrise, on a beautiful clear morning (no clouds to hide the sun.) I had the entire forest to myself, to explore alone! The highlight was watching the sun rise between the majestic tree trunks! This is an experience I'll never forget!

Such a lovely place to visit. Car park is right next to the forest so you have the most convenient access. The actual redwood forest is not that big, so if you just go to take a picture and see for yourself, it wouldn't take long at all. But it's nice to hang around, contemplate and appreciate the beauty and you could spend hours here. Every spot is instagrammable. However the cute nests are only a few around the forests so sometimes it might get a bit busy and you have to wait to take a picture.

Strange to drive through native forests to arrive at this plantation of introduced trees, which has become a tourist attraction. Some good shots to be had - two separate areas plantation areas - but don't miss the native vegetation, including tree ferns, near the creek.

This place has amazingly tall redwood trees! There were a lot of tourists during the time we were there, so it can be a bit difficult to get undisturbed photos. The photos with the forest are amazing regardless. Walking a little deeper, you can find small streams of water. Very peaceful

Amazing day spent here with friends! It's much smaller than I'd thought but there are so many walking tracks that go beyond the initial plantation. There's cool little creeks running alonside the walking tracks and plenty of spots for a picnic or relaxing in the shade.

Extremely beautiful. The size of the trees is just jaw dropping. Loved exploring them and the surrounding areas. Only downside is it would be great is there was signage to where to walk especially down at the creek.

The alignment of the forest is incredibly beautiful, which make this place great for picnic under the shades. Those huge fern trees are also around to be viewed. Something special about this place is that brunches of trees are arranged in a bird nest shape, so take your time finding those spots in the forest. However to be noticed, the tracks are exposed to the sun in summer, so be careful of the sunburn. Also, no bathrooms available, you need to go back to the town.

A beautiful forest experience. I visited with my nieces and it was really fun to get out of the house and explore a real forest. You can follow the path or trek through the muddy wilderness and see some beautiful sights. Lots of hot spots full of amazement, even some areas with giant logs to hop on, even a massive uprooted tree to explore. Overall lovely experience.

This is really beautiful. There are a lot of visitors. There are no toilets. They do have a coffee food truck. However inside the forest it's quiet and serene. Would be amazing at night too.

Such a beautiful, serene, peaceful forrest. So glad it re-opened I went on a Sunday arvo. It was busy but not too packed. I avoided the Saturday crowds. Dont forget to walk to the area behind the trees with the pretty creek. Nice views. A lovely piece of nature to top up your day

Called in on a Monday...only 20 cars. Very tranquil walking between the trees and on a 30c plus day the area is so cool! The floor of the forest is a beautiful soft carpet.

Great place for a day trip. Completely worth the very steep turns and curvy drive. It's so beautiful, fresh and is family/kids friendly. Can’t believe these tall trees are 90 years old and they hug each other. ☺️

A great relaxing day! The walk was easy, but there’s bigger hike’s available to the public if you want to walk more! We walked through the woods and down along the stream and back. The giant nests made from twigs are a real novelty too! After that we enjoyed a lovely lunch heading back to Melbourne.

Great spot, there is a little loop track that follows the river or you can even walk further afield. Even when it's busy with tourists you can usually find a quiet spot.

This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s so big so every time you go it feels like you get to see something new. The nests of fallen branches are really amazing and the creek running through is beautiful! Perfect place to spend the day and have a picnic

Parking is just a step away. Despite the rain upon our arrival, the dense forest shielded us from feeling the downpour. The river walk adds an interesting dimension to the experience. In total, you can easily spend an hour exploring this marvelous forest.

Calming and relaxing spot for 1hour hike. Plenty of parking spots. There is a food truck at the entrance of the parking. Walking through the forest there are some trails next to the river. Easy to spot birds and friendly for kids and families. There are some art works across the forest.

Completely worth the very curvy drive. It's spectacular, hard to describe in words. Definitely must see. Large picnic area. But no toilets or shops.

On my way to Redwood Forest I had coffee and cake at Millgroves bakery, yum:) Such a delight to be here on one of the warmest summers days strolling under the shades of these magnificent giants. Behind the trail around this forest the sounds of rapids brought me to a creek surrounded by ferns, fern trees, pine and gum trees, sounds of birds, crickets and lots of fluttering butterflies ~ it is gorgeous 🫶💚

Waited for months for the bridge restoration, and the place did not disappoint. Looks straight out of a fairy tale book. Went there on a cloudy day and the lighting looked even more mystic. Plenty of parking space. Would love to go back again maybe on a different season or weather.

Been here twice already and will definitely be back. Parking is close to the site, its just right outside. Don’t know if there was a toilet, I didn’t see if there was one. But there was a food trailer in the parking if you get hungry on your drive.
