A close friend told me about Cottle On Coventry in South Melbourne, not just a cafe but also a roastery that roasts and blends coffee beans from around the world and as well as to cafes in Melbourne, supplies its artisan coffee throughout Australia and internationally. A few weeks back now we decided to try the cafe. The cafe overall is quite small but the coffee and atmosphere were great and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is one of our favourite coffee in Melbourne. They also offer a combo small coffee and piadina (chicken and spinach with alioli my best) by 12$. The flavour of the coffee is incredible. We ordered a smash avo with 2 poached eggs some time ago and it was delicious. You can buy also coffee beans from different countries to make your own home made coffee. I love this place. Very jummy food

Love this place. Great for specialty coffee and a good, relatively cheap feed. Food bang for buck remains unmatched here. The avo on toast gives you so much value and is seriously delicious. Highly recommend.

I was a bit surprised by the lack of line walking into this cafe because it was great! The staff were friendly, you could buy coffee from a wide range of different blends, they had coffee syrups and milk varieties, they sold food and high end luxury products such as coffee makers and Belgium Easter eggs and the layout had an amazing feel to it (with a place to wait at a table with a newspaper for takeaway coffees)! The price was very affordable for my coffee that had a syrup and oat milk and the coffee to syrup mix was delicious. I would like the option for larger sizes and the oat milk to be a bit thicker, but I’ll certainly be back!

Came in here with my brother as we were missing the funnel out of a coffee pot. We received the most incredible service. Can’t believe what a great experience it was to come into this store. They also gave us some really helpful tips on how to make the coffee in the pot. Definitely recommend, the staff here are so helpful.

Great coffee, best hot chocolate in South Melbourne. You can buy coffee related merchandise at a reasonable price including in-store roasted coffee beans. There are many great coffees in South Melbourne and this is one of them.

Been going here for three years and the coffee is my favourite. We got barked at last week after buying coffee and eating a croissant from somewhere else. After telling the barista today that he put a sugar in my coffee and another staff member put a sugar in he cracked it threw the coffee in the sink and then threw the attitude. Your coffee is amazing but I’ll never go back or take friends. .

Very slow staff, without any simple standard services. Bread comes in a dish, and vegimate was in side same dish as bread. We ask to replace the vegimate into a separate tiny bowl. The table we set wasn't clean, the bread crumble was all around it, and nobody came to clean it. For God sick a soup of the day have takes how long to deliver...? Half an hour...? Does this place even have a manager..? No to low and bad services.

Had scrambled eggs with toast. Fluffy eggs, bread nicely toasted but not enough butter given. Apart from that very pleasant. Price wise I thought was reasonable. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs, latte and cold drink $33

Went here a little before closing so the cafe was quiet. Atmosphere is lovely, very rustic and aesthetically pleasing. The baristas were very welcoming and friendly! I had a flourless chocolate brownie and my friend had banana bread, the brownie was delicious and my friend housed down the banana bread so I'll assume she enjoyed it. Had a great experience, would recommend!

I’ve been trying to find the best chai latte in south Melbourne and have now tried 28 different places and so far this one is the best, not only does it taste the best but the price is quite good compared to most places

Amazing coffee store in South Melbourne. I can't count how many times I visited hepe.

  • 5/5 Patrick T. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful store roasted coffee and friendly staff. Love supporting local cafes - better than the famous “chains” that is popping up around South Melbourne~ Prices are also most reasonable in the area - and that includes the coffee accessories. I bought the Moka pot, and they have me 250g of free coffee beans along with it!
