Went on 2 separate tours with Go-West. The first tour was with guide Margaret on the Great Ocean Road. The trip was fun and she was entertaining throughout the trip though the weather was unforgiving and she had to drive for hours. Her enthusiasm and passion as a guide is contagious and made us really comfortable during the tour. The second tour was with Boss Terry to the Yarra Valley winery. He is humorous and really knowledgeable. A really friendly, humble and down to earth guy. Overall experience with Go West is great and I will definitely book them again when I'm visiting Melbourne. Kudos to Terry and the team!

Bus tours for me are always a, I hope I made the right choice. Go West Tours did not disappoint. Tim our driver for the Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour, was the best, he was funny, patient and helpful and a great commentator. Had the best day, highly recommend Go West Tours. A journey on the Great Ocean Road was one of my bucket list of place to travel in Melbourne. We join the tour on 22 September 2022. We had two day trips with Go West: the first one was to the Great Ocean Road with Margaret and the second one was to the Phillip Island with Bob.S. Both were extraordinary guides with great passion. Margaret had a unique way of telling story with a cheerful tone and soothing voice and I really love that. She also had a good control over the pace of our trip and gave thorough explanation throughout the trip. Bob was very friendly, helpful and cheerful as well. I really enjoy talking to him. He has also helped me get something I accidentally left on the coach. I would very much like to travel with Go West and these great guides again!

Had an amazing tour guide on the 18.07.22 to see the Great Ocean Road. His name was Chris and he entertained us from the minute we started the tour from 7 am till we got back at around 20:30pm. We had booked Go West tours for our Philip Island visit in October and it's one of our best experiences till now. Our tour guide Ebony was a delight and kept us entertained throughout the whole ride with the history of the various places. They were pretty punctual about the pickup and drop time which helped us in getting some good seats for the Penguin parade. Though the weather wasn't that great, we were still able to make the best out of it. Overall it was really great trip and would definitely recommend Go West tours.

The Great Ocean Road tour by Go West tours is an excellent excursion that includes a stop to see koalas in the wild as well as a walk through breathtaking temperate rainforest, in addition to the 12 Apostles and other amazing coastal features within close proximity of the apostles. Margaret was a memorable tour guide who exhibited, infectious enthusiasm for her country and the stunning scenery that can be witnessed along the Great Ocean Road. It's one thing to have a great itinerary, but when that is coupled with a high caliber guide like Margaret, it just makes for a very rewarding overall experience and one I will be sure to remember and recommend in the future.

I had the pleasure of joining the Great Ocean Road & 12 Apostrophes tour with Aaron on Monday (03/10/22) and had a fabulous time. Aaron was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about lots of things to do with Australia, from wildlife to history and politics. He addressed all our questions with grace and enthusiasm and always made sure that we were enjoying our trip. I particularly enjoyed the Great Otway National Park as we had the opportunity to experience a bit of what the rain forest has to offer. I love travel with small tour groups and Go West is one of the best in my travel experience. I took great ocean road tour with Aaron and he is friendly, funny, understanding and loving his job. He took extra miles to make sure everyone Got dropped at most convenient spot. He prepared Australia music playlist for the road. He introduced a lot Australian history and local stories for us and small fun facts about places too. He shared interesting knowledge of Australian animal and plants. And if you behave and back in time he stopped for extra lookout spots.

Went on an amazing 1-day tour to explore Yarra Valley. The pick-up and drop-off location was just an amazing service provided for all travelers, we were directly picked up from our hotel as the other passengers who went on the same tour with us were also and alighted back at the same location we were picked up. Rachael our tour guide was amazing she came on time and also was very friendly and made the entire tour pleasant with amazing ad-libs and fun music while traveling from one location to another. She also made sure that the tour was fun and smooth with many things prepared early before we arrive and all we had to do was enjoy the moment. This tour is one of the best tour i have ever been. Our tour guide, Chris H, is one of the best guide that I have met. The way he engaged with us with his energetic self makes the whole session fun and enjoyable. He explained clearly on the history of each and every places and even walk the ground together with us. And kudos to Ruth for replying me on the confirmation on my booking which i have booked just half and hour before the start of the tour. Overall, it was worth coming and paying for.

Booked a Philip Island Trip day on 27 October 2022 with Go West Tours. Our Guide is Chris H. ( hope I got his name correct, as he told us there a few Guides name after Chris with the Company). He was accompanied by Stephen who supposed to be a understudy Guide since he rejoined the Company. Chris Is a jovial person and he was engaging with the group. He is knowledgeable and during the whole trip he would explain some background history of the places. Maybe he have vast experiences given he already led the 900+ of such tour (this is what he told us 😄) Thankfully that everyone is quite punctual on the given timing by Chris to return to the bus as any delay might affect the subsequent trip itinerary. But I sensed that Chris planning of the tour is way ahead of the rest of the other group as he will want our group reach the destination first before the other tour group arrival so as to avoid the crowd. And further, he also guided our group on where to be seated for the Penguin parade for the best view (since our purchase is gallery view). Stephen is quite reserved and I believed he does not want to stole the limelight from Chris. But Kudos to him for driving the group back to Melbourne City during night times. 😉 To conclude, the tour is well-organized from pickup to Drop-off! Will recommend to book with this company if you decide for a day trip! 👍👍👍👍👍

The Grampians tour was incredible. Really exceeded my expectations as I had been on a really great tour the day before with another company and I honestly didn’t know how it could match it. But it definitely did! Lucy is a fantastic guide, really knowledgeable about the local wildlife, ecosystems, Australian colonial and aboriginal history and culture as well as being a really friendly and fun guide. There was a mix of history and more recent pop culture included in the tour. The sites were so beautiful and I would recommend the Grampians as a day trip with this company to anyone.

I did the Great Ocean Road tour and it was worth it. Was thinking of driving but since I wanted to do it in one day, and did not want to drive 8-9hrs, I chose the tour and it was worth it. The tour guide we had was Cloe and she was excellent. She tailored it to what we wanted and yet showed all the highlights of the Great Ocean Road- which would have taken me a long time to read and research. High recommend Cloe.

Robert is an exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind person. He made my mom feel incredibly welcome despite her not knowing any English and it being her first time traveling in Australia. To be honest, I had planned on working the weekend but my schedule cleared up and I found myself having one free day and not having explored Victoria at all. On the recommendation of a coworker, I decided to take a tour of the Great Ocean Road through Go West Tours. Picture perfect day was somewhat ruined by a forecast of rain throughout the day… Or at least I thought it was until I met our driver Mike. Sharp witted, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about not only the tour stops but of Australian culture and trivia in general, Mike was more than happy to indulge me in conversation and answer my questions throughout the day as I rode up front on the 12 hour tour. He was professional, timely, and an amazing driver who not only managed to not only keep the whole group engaged, but actually bring us together and forge relationships that will last beyond the one day tour. Even though it rained, Mike showed us around the Great Ocean Road and pulled off on vista points where he knew we would get amazing photos of the beautiful coastline, and into areas that allowed us to see Koalas on more than one occasion. Little did I know at the beginning of the day the sights I would see, the memories I would be making, and the people I would meet would be a highlight of my trip to Victoria. First letter of each sentence above perfectly describes Mike, the great ocean road tour, and my experience on this wonderful day. 10/10 would recommend this tour and if you are venturing alone like I was, have no fear as Mike knows how to take the perfect picture.

Just book it!! This was an absolutely amazing tour with some of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen. My tour guide was Lucy and she was so much fun. I could tell she absolutely loved her job and her enthusiasm was contagious. She had such great energy the entire day and even more importantly, she was a super safe driver. There are plenty of stops along the way to use the restroom and to get food. You will also get TONS of photo opportunities. This was a great tour from start to finish.

We did the Philip island tour yesterday with the great Lucy! It was an amazing experience and Lucy made sure we were all having fun. Breathtaking views, lovely weather, nice environment and music. Lucy was great at storytelling and she was so entertaining and funny during the whole journey. Finally so many beautiful and cute little penguins!! 🐧 Will definitely come back one day for a different tour!

My boyfriend and I took the Great Ocean Road Tour. Our pick up time was at 7am, as soon as the van arrived we jump on it and drove around for an hour picking up people. Somehow a couple was late so we just drove around waiting for them for at least 20 extra minutes which made us late to swap for the next bus. After over an hour on the first bus we finally got to the tour agency to take the second bus that obviously was already full, all seats taken and of course, we got the worse seats on the bus not even seating together to enjoy the trip even tho we were on time, early pick up for nothing. The seat at the back -where I was seating- where behind bigger seats so we couldn't see a thing during the whole way -yeap 3 hours driving- my boyfriend which obviously is bigger than me had to be seated in very very tiny seat were he had to seat sideways the entire time. Very disappointed and upset after planning this trip for so long and not even get to have a view or seats together to relax. I'd definitely not recommend this company to anyone. Make yourself a favor and book it with other agencies, I'm sure you can get way way way better for $120 per person.

Our tour guide Miss Leonie was very informative and helpful on guiding to explore the places, food recommendations, history of places and some good music. Good things to note : - Comfy Mini Bus. - Wifi was literally working all the time in bus. - Very professional guides. - Value for money for full day tour. 🇦🇺 Australia is very beautiful, safe and fine. Don’t be afraid of Bush Fires 🔥 it’s part of their eco-system.

Enjoy the trip, esp the penguin parade. Our guide was leah. She had done a great job. I think she was like a nanny having to take care of ppl from different countries..of different age..and at the same time she's the driver, tour guide, time keeper ..and yet..u can really feel her enthusiasm towards her job. She purposely invited the eldest member to join her at the co driver seat and made sure he was taken care of through out the trip. And while she fetched us from our respective hotels..she will make a huge effort to wait n call up the member who didnt turn up on time (not me) Bravo leah!

We visited the great ocean road with Chris R. And it was a fantastic experience! He picked us up in Melbourne and provided tea, coffee, cake and very interesting facts about every stop and topics around. And his choices of music were super great! And he also stopped the bus to let us take pictures of the beautiful sunset! It was a wonderful day and we would totally recommend it to everyone!

I booked a tour for the penguin parade in Phillip island and was picked up by a punctual fella named Terry who handed us off to our tour guide Kenshi. The whole trip was fantastic, it was hard to believe that Kenshi hadn't guided a tour since the first lockdown because he was very friendly, coordinated, and allocated a lot of time for late comers losing track of time on the stops we made along the way.

My husband and I had such an incredible experience on this tour! Our guide Jon especially made the journey amazing with his kind and energetic personality. He went above and beyond to give us interesting facts and stories all along the way. This tour is a full day but the time is truly budgeted out perfectly! We saw koalas, kangaroos, amazing scenery and were in good company! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the great ocean road.

My boyfriend and I did the Phillip Island day tour last month through Go West and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite tours I have ever done anywhere I have visited. Our tour guide was Chris N. and he was amazing—entertained and gave history and explanations of the culture and animals from start to finish. He communicated our itinerary clearly and was genuine and passionate about his work. The sanctuary was wonderful, full of kangaroos and wallabies roaming freely around, and koala bears that you could do photographed meet and greets with for an extra fee. All of the animals seemed well cared-for and humanely treated. The scenery and beaches were all gorgeous, and the finale of the Penguin Parade took the cake and exceeded our expectations. I don’t want to give away too much of the experience, I just encourage you to do this tour if you are in Melbourne—you will not be disappointed! Chris N. seriously deserves a raise for going above and beyond as a tour guide.

Going to a trip on the Great Ocean Road was one of my dreams and Go West tours turned it into reality. The tour was extremely well organized, the road trip was long but comfortable and our tour guide Robert was very friendly and funny. He didn’t just abandon us in some touristic spots but always came with us explaining us the history of the place. He recommended us the best places to eat and he even prepare for us hot drinks and sweets for breakfast. Beside that we are just so lucky to have a sunny beautiful day. Awesome tours!!! I did two—Phillip Island penguin parade with Red, and Great Ocean Road sunset tour with Jacqui. They were both amazing guides—very knowledgeable about the places we visited and Melbourne in general. The days are filled with lots of places to stop and see so you can get some great photos. And an opportunity to see some of Australia’s native wildlife in the wild. Both kept us entertained during the journey and have great playlists for the adventures.

Our tour guide Lucy is such a professional and friendly guide! She took care of everyone and introduced a bunch of knowledge about Great Ocean road to us. Love this trip making me feel safe and happy all the day long, even I was traveling alone. Won't feel too rush for every spot. And the bus is very comfortable and steady as well. Thank Go West!

Our adventure to Philip Island today was incredible! It started with the Bath boxes at Brighton Beach, then on to Moon Lit preserve to pet Victor the koala and to see so many Australian animals, onto the Nobnies, an quick dinner stop and then the Penguin Parade. The stops curated for this excursion and our knowledgeable & enthusiastic tour guide, Lucy, made this day memorable! If you only do one excursion from Melbourne, this is the one to pick!

ASH was a great tour guide. Very funny engaging and informative. I had Soo much fun during his tour. We had a sing a long during the bus ride, a few trivia games and a few fun facts about the different stops and animals we spotted during the tour.

This is my second tour with Go West and both had been quite good. They have good guides, nice transport, punctual, and had sufficient stops for bathroom break during long drives. Rachel who was our guide for the Wilson’s Promontory trip was wonderful - friendly, always smiling and handy jokes, encouraged a friendly atmosphere with the people in the tour, and she really knows the Prom, guided us through the walks and hiking. Her love for Melbourne and enjoyment of her job and the people she meets really shows. You’re great, Rachel! Wilson’s Promontory itself is a great destination - beautiful sight after the Mt Bishop hike and then, better than that, the optional tidal river hike to squeaky beach was amazing - the views during the walk itself, not just the destination.

Really liked the itinerary, ticked off all of the attractions we wanted to see and offered way more. Came for the penguins but really breath taken away by the stunning Woolamai Beach views. Guide Chris. H. kept us entertained with his rich understanding for the area where he grew up and his passion for it was palpable. Would definitely recommend.

We had a terrific time on the Great Ocean Road tour! Bill, our guide, was a fantastic tour guide who had tons of great details about the area that we went on for our trip. He had a terrific sense of humor and really cared about everyone on the tour bus having a good time. The timing for each stop was perfect, the route between stops was beautiful and made for a smooth ride. The seats were comfortable and the bus windows were large and very clean. Great tour guide Josh. Poor customer service from Otway's end...takes 1 week to respond to my email, had to call a second time to ask if they planned on responding. Issues with being quite late on the pickup and over 2 hours late on the drop off (past midnight).

Had so much fun. The guide Dave was able to mould us in to a little family with his humour and information throughout the day. Don't think about it, just book now. You won't regret it.

I've seen the Mayan temples of Mexico 'chichen itza tour', 'the grand canyon adventure' via Las Vegas Trips , the Statue of Liberty/Manhattan, New York double decker bus sight seeing package, the Hong Kong Street and ferry tour, the South Korea/Nami Island ferry and bus tour and the list goes on and on. But I can honestly admit that I have never been so impressed with the experience I had with Go West Tours Ocean Road Sunset escapade of serene Southern Australia! KATHERINE led us on our journey of the gorgeous coastal region of Australia starting from Melbourne and stopping at several beautiful locations along the coast. We took a turn inland to enjoy the lush greenery of forest in the Land Down Under. I captured so many fantastic pictures and created wonderful memories along the way. A customer broke her wrist and Rachael jumped to the rescue, took her to hospital and still managed to make time. I also learnt a lot of interesting things about the great ocean road and saw some great sights!

I booked the Great Ocean road tour and Terry was AMAZING. The way he explained events,took us to nice spots for pics,was helping with taking photos of us and also the way he made us feel at ease was so professional of him. Also with his jokes,they were funny. I'll recommend Go West Tours to anybody who would like to visit the Great Ocean road.

We had an absolutely amazing day. Terry (our lead guide) and Robin made our day a memorable one. The trip was very well organised and we were given clear communication regarding where we were heading, what we could see at the stop point and a bit of an area background. Terry was extremely knowledgeable of the history behind this route which made it also very interesting. He has a good sense of humour and is very friendly. Great experience at a good value. Best way to see the main sites on the Great Ocean Road in an efficient manner. Our tour guide, Simon, was friendly and very informative. Reminded us of an Australian Robin Williams. Apostles, rainforest, and Apollo Bay town made for a great day. We had great weather and a great group that was on time at every stop, so we did get a bit lucky there. It is a long day so bring plenty of water and some snacks - there’ll be enough rest stops and an opportunity for lunch.

I've travelled along The Great Ocean Road three times in my life. Once when I was in my teens, a second time in my twenties, and now a third time in my thirties. I am grateful that I decided to join this tour because it was well-organised and our tour guide, Rachael, was friendly, informative and helped make the entire journey a very pleasant and enjoyable experience for the group and I am surprised we could fit in so many different stops and points of interest within a day trip. Despite being a popular destination, we had plenty of great photo opportunities at The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. One of my favourite parts of the tour was actually the rainforest walk and I was amazed by how enormous the trees are! Thanks Rachael!

Had a tour at the great ocean road with our tour guide Isaac. Halfway through the tour I was already very satisfied with our tour guide. Although the ride was long, he kept us entertained. He told us stories on the history of the places we passed by, was very interactive with our tour group as well. And as it was my first time in Melbourne, he gave us reviews and recommendations on which restaurants and Food we should try on our breaks. His recommendations were very detailed, which made it easy for us to choose which restaurant to eat from. He ever had a koala mascot sitted at the front so that we could identify our buses among the other go west buses. Isaac really thought everything through, truly the best tour guide I've ever had. Day trip to Great Ocean road, very fun and complete tour, made some stops to take pictures and see around. The scenic drive is beautiful! Totally worth it! We took the Great Ocean Road tour. We enjoyed the tour very much and got to see all the places in the itinerary. There was free WiFi on the bus and light breakfast provided. We took great ocean road tour with them. It was an amazing experience. Although it was rainy and cloudy day, Lucy made it super fun for us all. She kept us entertained and made sure we experience all the great things this tour had to offer. We could spot kangaroos, koala, birds etc. Bus was comfortable and clean. Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour was wonderfully interesting and enjoyable- giving access to many beautiful areas and locations on this day trip. Our guide Chris (Kiwi Chris!) was exceptional- kind, affable and solicitous of the group's safety and comfort at all times. He made the trip so interesting and was very knowledgeable on so many aspects- history, geography, environmental issues, fauna and flora, land use... In short, he gave our group a valuable, unique, thoughtful and memorable experience-all packed into one day!

I joined the Phillip Island day tour and it was such an amazing experience. Our guide Stuart explained a lot of things and told great stories on our way there. He also played some music to lighten up the mood! Seeing the penguins coming back to their home is definitely the highlight of my trip. Looking forward to joining another day trip in the future!

Went on the Penguin Parade tour with Go West Tours, and our guide/driver was Camille. Her bountiful levels of energy and positiveness infected everyone onboard the bus, and made us very happy indeed! The penguins were super adorable, and very much worth the chilly winds and long drive back. Would definitely do it once again, if the opportunity arises!

A wonderful trip! I love our guide Jacqui, she is sweet, energetic and just amazing. She took us to see the tiny little penguins, which is definitely worth seeing. Also, she took us to moonlit where I took a photo with koala, and the wild beach - the surfing beach? I don’t really know the name of it. The surfing beach is just amazing!!! The wonderful volcanic rocks and the beautiful sea! If you’re thinking about a trip to see the penguins, I would recommend GO WEST!

I recently went on an incredible tour with Frank, and it was seriously unforgettable! Frank is such a cool and caring guide who knows his stuff. Wow. What an experience. Went on the Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour with the one and only Frank. Might be slightly biased but we had the BEST driver/tour guide ever. My friend and I went on the Phillip Island Penguin Parade Small Group Eco Tour with Go West Tours and we had an amazing time. Our tour guide/driver was Chris H. Chris was very friendly and energetic. and with great passion, he shared with us his knowledge in history, culture, and wildlife of the places we visited. Chris was also very accommodating with the group in terms of picking up, dropping off, making stops at great spots for taking photos. The whole experience never felt rushed despite the looming stomry weather on the day. And to top it off, Chris had a very impressionable sense of humor, I will never forget the "Aussie salute" now. We went on the Great Ocean Road tour Nov 27, 2023 and it was excellent! Our tour guide, Simon, was extremely knowledgeable about the plant and animal life, and had lots of other great anecdotes and facts that kept the tour fun and engaging. There were several stops in the tour, including a parrot and koala viewing, a walk through a rainforest, and of course the 12 apostles, both from above and an opportunity to descend down some stairs to the beach below. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend.

Our guide Jools was an incredibly kind and caring guide during our tour today. She was always on time, an amazing driver and was very friendly to everyone. She took us to beautiful places and went out of her way to take us to more photographic spots. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

Nice tour with many stops on the way to Phillip island. Our tourguide Camille did a great job and explained lots of interesting things on the way about all the different animals and the environment. We had a great day with „go west“. The penguin parade was very crowded and fully booked, but we went there in vacation time.

We took the Great Ocean Road trip today with Go West and our tour guide was Ben. The trip was great. Although I am living in Australia and have visited the place before, however taking this trip with my husband was fabulous. We were able to explore multiple places, were provided with history and indepth information by Ben. Ben is a lovely chap, he drove following all the traffic rules, was able to connect with the tour participants and we all really enjoyed his company. I am definitely going to recommend Go West tours to my friends and if they will have Ben as their tour guide, it will be bonus for them 😀.

I joined “Great Ocean Road Small Group Echo tour” on 9/Jan/2024. That was great. Lucy, who is a tour guide for us , was brilliant. She’s a really professional one and good entertainer. I enjoyed a lot. Her explanation was very understandable even for non native English speakers like me.

Had the unfortunate experience of having our phones go flat after the tour. I don't even think we mentioned we were on the tour but they allowed us to use their phone. Just a little kindness goes a long way. And the tour was great, really was one of the highlights of our visit.

I definitely suggest doing the Great Ocean Drive tour when in Melbourne, the scenery is unmatched. The tour was good overall, the tour guide was very friendly and didn't excessively talk which was good. Positives: Good tour Friendly guide really good Lunch Pick up and drop off at hotel at promised time Negatives: Driving- the guide was driving way too sporty for a big minibus and both me and my partner were getting motion sickness ....drove that minibus like i drive my porsche in the turns.. Legroom and Seat comfort was terrible (unfortunately, many other tours use the same minibus) The timing and the stops weren't well planned out: the more scenic stops got less time and the pointless stops got almost the same amount of time(lighthouse).

Bill was an exceptional tour guide who is very knowledgeable about Melbourne and the surrounding areas, as well as a few interesting facts about his time overseas. The tour itself was very good, it takes you to a variety or popular locations, a good amount of photo opportunities (which Bill was very happy to take couple photos). My only critique is that during the colder months, there becomes not much time for dinner prior to the penguins arrival as it's very busy and lines get long. The day did feel a bit rushed, leaving not too much time to spend at each destination. I would suggest during these times that the tour leave an hour or so early to accommodate these, as it is a big day and I got quite hungry. So to anyone deciding, I recommend bringing along some muesli bars or some sandwiches. All in all, a very good experience with GoWest tours and I would travel with them again.

Damian was such an amazing tour guide. He’s funny and he made sure that all of us are taken care of. The tour didn’t feel rushed and he let us have pit stops at places with nice scenery to snap photos. Highly recommend this tour to everyone! Phil was a great host on our day trip to see the penguins 🐧 - great commentary and loved the dads !! The day was filled with great stops to keep interested and take pictures. The sanctuary was amazing - very interactive and hands on with the animals. The Penguins were of course the star of the day and they didn’t disappoint- although in august numbers are not that high there was plenty of viewing time to see them walk back to their burrows. On the tour Never felt rushed and lots of guidence and assistance was on hand from Phil! Great day!! Much thanks

We joined two tours by Go West during our stay in Melbourne. The first one to penguin parade with Yoni was fabulous! She is very familiar with the wildlife and seabirds. The tour was extraordinarily informative and intriguing. We loved the little penguins which are super adorable. The second trip we joined was Yarra Valley gourmet tour with Mark A. He is humorous and told us a lot about the city. The wine and food were delicious. We enjoyed both trips so much and would recommend tourists who visit Melbourne to give them a try!

Absolutely amazing tour of the Great Ocean Road! I’ve done a lot of tours in different countries and can without a doubt say Red was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He was hilarious, fun, informative and knowledgeable and clearly loves his job! The stops were all great, so beautiful. Everything Red recommended was spot on.
