Attended quite a few events here over the years, including when it was called Etihad Stadium. I find it really annoying that Melbourne major stadiums keep changing their names depending on Sponsorship. Now called Marvel stadium, the venue itself hasn't changed. There is heaps of paid parking under the stadium, and it's rather expensive. $50 for a weekday. A lot cheaper if you pre-book, $19. Staff have been great whenever I've attended, even whilst COVID restrictions are still active in early 2022. Food is a cut above the usual stadium event catering, although I suppose that depends on how much each attendee has paid, as to the menu you are offered. Make sure you remember where you've parked underground, as the last thing you need at the end of a long night is to stumble around in the dim lighting of the vast carpark trying to find your car amongst the 1000s and 1000s of vehicles!

We've been attending Marvel Stadium as Medallion Club members for several years. It is by far the most accessible and accommodating sporting venue for those on wheels or with special needs. Staff are always helpful and attentive. Keep up the great work!

Great stadium. Under the roof on a cold winter night was a pleasant experience. Big screens to watch the replay for those important missed moments. Pregame entertainment are a treat. The entry and exit are a breeze and fuss free.

Give me a stadium with a roof any day… Keeping you warmer (closed) in winter & fresher (open) on those warm summer nights. Marvel has a great footy atmosphere, great for concerts & games. Great facilities, easy parking, close to train station & very good location in the Docklands.

Great concert viewing, however was terrible to get in to the stadium with long queues and no staff outside the venue for information. Only one ticket reader which a fellow concert goer had to walk to the front on the queue to find out. People in the queue also had to manage those in the queue as there was no barriers or staff. Paul McCartney was great but a shame that you had to rush to your seat once in due to poor crowd management.

A superhero of a stadium. I've been to lots of events here over the years, from cricket to concerts to A-League football. I haven't had a bad experience yet - apart from an RMIT graduation in 2009, which was a shambles, but I can forgive the stadium for that one. I love the current Marvel sponsorship and decor. Not many major Australian stadiums are so well connected to a major train station (Southern Cross), even if it feels like a long, slow walk at the end of a concert. When it's quiet, on a non-event day, a lap around the outside of Marvel is actually a nice walk.

There is nothing better than watching the footy at Marvel stadium under a closed roof on a very cold Melbourne evening. This stadium is in a great location in Docklands and easily accessible via public transport. Facilities and food/drinks are great and reasonably priced for a sporting venue.

Huge stadium. Went to see P!NK! Transport directly to stadium, so easy access. Not sure about parking, but it's a great venue.

Great location, facilities were convenient, our big issue was our seats we bought general admission tickets, that had a picture what our seating options were. Then on the night we arrived there early to sit at the front and enjoy the game we were literally told bad luck go sit right up the back, we weren't the only ones that got caught out and tried complaining and were only given a shrug. So we paid for three seats at $130 each to sit right at the back what a rip off....really a poor and expensive experience

The marvel stadium, large stadium, with a large capacity of reception! It is one of the main stadiums in Melbourne where many different events take place during the year. The stadium having been in agreement with disney, for the name, marvel decorations as well as marvel animations are present inside the stadium. But we haven’t seen any avengers 😶. The compound is pretty. New to Australia, we went to see an Australian football game, and to our surprise, this sport is incredible, we loved it. The atmosphere in the stadium is great, the fans know how to set the mood. We were placed on the ground floor in a bend, and the pitch being a bit oval shaped, we saw the match very well, despite the location on the side. Good stadium! And for tourists did not hesitate to see an Australian football match.

Great venue corporate box was a great experience. Pleasantly surprised, the food was really good, the waitress looked after the room professionally and the day had a fantastic atmosphere for the main boxing fight. FYI big events they tend to close roads down so leaving wether by taxi or pick up you need to walk past road closures. If you like this review please like and share.

Watched the All Blacks versus Australia on the 15 of September 2022 which was amazing. The atmosphere can be amazing when the crowds get going. The stadium is well located in the city and it is close to the Southern Cross railway station so easy to get there. The food is not bad and the beer offering is limited. Worth a trip.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, Marvel Stadium has welcomed more than 42 million fans through the gates since opening in 2000. Renowned for regularly staging AFL, A-League and BBL action under the famous retractable roof, Marvel Stadium has also hosted some of the biggest international sporting events such as UFC, Soccer World Cup Qualifiers, International Rugby Union tests and USA Basketball versus Australian Boomers in 2019. Throughout its years, Marvel Stadium has hosted many memorable concerts for some of the world’s biggest stars including U2, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Andre Rieu and Eminem. Marvel Stadium (formerly known as Etihad Stadium- depending on the sponsership) provides a natural turf playing surface with a total area of 19,000m2. Currently the arena is made up of 17,600m2 of natural turf and 1,400m2 of synthetic turf, which runs the entire perimeter of the arena. For an AFL match the boundary line is 5 metres from the fence line and the synthetic turf is 3 metres wide and is situated outside the playing area. From fence to fence the arena dimensions are 169.5m from north to south and 140m from east to west. For an AFL event, the distance between the north to south goal lines is 159.5m and from the east to west boundary lines is 128.8m.

Docklands Stadium, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Docklands area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Construction started in October 1997 and was completed in 2000 at a cost of A$460 million. The stadium features a retractable roof and the ground level seating can be converted from oval to rectangular configuration. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football and was originally built as a replacement for Waverley Park. Offices at the precinct serve as the headquarters of the Australian Football League (AFL) which, since 7 October 2016, has had exclusive ownership of the venue. With a capacity for 53,000 spectators for sports, the stadium is the second-largest in Melbourne and has hosted a number of other sporting events including domestic Twenty20 cricket matches, Melbourne Victory soccer home matches, rugby league and rugby union matches as well as special events and concerts. Seven Network's digital broadcast centre is also headquartered at the precinct.

Watched the WSX and it was awesome! Definitely want to be able to come back to see similar events and enjoy the facility a little more. Would recommend the medallion club when booking any event at the venue. Yet to experience it but looks to be much better seating

Not sure why this stadium cops so much hate, easy access from Southern Cross station and usually have a good seat to watch any event. Only complaint is the AFL stopping the seats from being brought in for soccer matches.

We attended my brother graduation in Marvel stadium it is huge and you will need to know on which gate you are entering it was covered as we were in summer however was really hot the bathrooms were still clean even with the huge number of people. When it comes for food options all are junk food so if you are healthy eater and on diet I would recommend eat before you come

We had an epic time here for UFC243 and I hope we can return again soon. So easy for transport and getting in and out of the venue plus loads of bars around for beverage requirements

Marvel Stadium is an absolute gem in Melbourne. Its prime location makes it easily accessible, whether you're arriving by public transport or driving. The stadium's modern facilities enhance the overall experience. A must visit for a sports event (AFL) or a concert, you're in for a treat.

Didn't open doors when it was spose to. My mum (60+) and I had to wait in direct sun (in queue) for over an hour. Otherwise, great venue. Saw RHCP 9/2/23. Toilet/food queue moved surprisingly fast! Looking forward to returning next year for PINK 🎤 🤗.

Came to see the mighty Essendon bombers beat the Adelaide crows. I am an Adelaide person but follow Essendon. Great security on way in. Bags searched quickly and efficiently. Good singage to your seats. A stadium person at each entrance checking your seat allocation so you did not sit in another patrons seat. Toilets were large and clean. Lots of entertainment before the match and at the breaks. Lots for kids to be involved in Leaving the stadium was quick. And the bombers won topping off my trip to Melbourne

Marvel Stadium is a state-of-the-art stadium located in Docklands, Melbourne. It is home to the AFL's Melbourne Demons and Western Bulldogs, as well as the A-League's Melbourne Victory. The stadium has a retractable roof, which makes it a versatile venue that can host a variety of events, from sporting matches to concerts. The stadium is well-designed and the views from the stands are excellent. The atmosphere is also electric, especially when the stadium is full. Overall, I would highly recommend Marvel Stadium to anyone looking for a great place to watch a sporting event or concert. It is a modern stadium with a great atmosphere that is sure to please fans of all ages.

My first ever International Rugby match and my first ever sold out stadium. The ground was easy to find, we were lucky with parking and managed to get a free one on the street. The atmosphere, staff and crowd were awesome. The prices for drinks was disgusting, after paying for nearly $700 for tickets to be charged $12.50 for a light beer was a bit much.

Haven't been to football games at Marvel only concerts. First one, a while ago now, Barbara Streisand. U2 three times, Duran Duran supporting Robbie Williams and tonight (7.2) Red Hot Chili Peppers. Venue OK but I prefer arenas to stadiums for concerts, but I get it the artist doesn't want to do 4 shows at arena when can do 1 or 2 at a stadium. However crowd blockages terrible, really bad crush situations here. I wonder if people ever injured? Chips were fine. And I couldn't help myself but tried 2 pack hot jam donuts. However I never understand why bathroom facilities never seem to be checked. During the support act bathroom had empty soap dispensers and hand dryers not working. So frustrating..... note Red Hot Chili Peppers was so disappointing. Played about 4 songs you knew and 13 you didn't. Post Malone was fantastic, so entertaining.

my experience with the team leaders there for the Harry Styles concert was terrible!! I have a broken neck with plates and screw and cannot stand for long. So I had a seat with my daughter instead of the floor!!!! I complained several times about people in front of me standing, and jumping very hard. They had no compassion whatsoever 😕. I would have paid for the floor if I wanted to stand for 3 hours!!! in 30c. I am seriously thinking of suing Marvel as my neck is still hurting alot more since the event!! very bad organisation!!
