While
technical
issues
and
machinery
failures
are
unpredictable,
I
really
believe
that
any
delays
caused
by
them
should
be
properly
relayed
to
the
customers
and
patients.
Today
I
had
to
wait
about
40
minutes
after
my
appointed
time
due
to
technical
issues
that
began
since
noon
and
persisted
late
afternoon.
If
the
issue
lasted
so
long,
the
receptionist
should
have
informed
patients
via
text
or
email
so
they
donāt
need
to
wait
for
so
long
and
come
on
time
when
they
arenāt
even
going
to
be
treated
promptly.
I
did
not
want
to
sound
rude
by
asking
the
receptionists
about
how
long
I
should
wait
until
I
can
see
the
dentist,
but
I
shouldnāt
even
be
asking
in
the
first
place
since
this
is
the
clinicās
responsibility
to
notify
patients
of
any
issues.
It
also
didnāt
help
that
the
none
of
the
receptionists
even
bat
on
eye
to
me
when
I
walk
in
the
clinic;
had
to
interrupt
the
Chinese
receptionist
to
tell
her
about
my
appointment.
I
felt
bad
about
interrupting
her
but
she
should
at
least
offer
an
acknowledgement
of
my
presence,
or
even
a
āIāll
get
to
you
in
a
momentā
would
have
sufficed.
Then
when
I
wanted
to
pay
for
the
dental
procedures,
I
went
to
the
Indian
receptionist
to
ask
for
my
bill,
because
I
understand
that
I
have
to
pay
out
of
pocket
since
my
BUPA
membership
did
not
cover
dental
fees.
She
was
so
adamant
about
scanning
my
membership
card
(which
took
even
more
waiting
time...)
and
was
surprised
when
I
wasnāt
covered???
Like
duh,
thatās
why
I
asked
for
the
bill!!
Of
course
thereās
also
delays
in
adjusting
the
fee
for
student
discount
because
the
dentist
was
busy
with
the
next
patient
already
so
I
had
to
wait
even
more
when
I
had
already
waited
a
very
long
time
for
my
appointment
and
I
was
already
in
a
very
bad
mood.
Please
improve
communication
between
dentist
and
receptionist
and
patients
so
that
patients
can
be
notified
if
thereās
an
expected
delay.
Very
disappointed
with
the
customer
service
of
the
receptionists
too,
incredibly
unprofessional.
Probably
wonāt
come
here
again
in
a
very
long
while
at
least.
