great spot for really good burgers!! conveniently situated right next to glen ferrie station this makes it really easy to get to! their burgers are top notch quality! i ordered the La Resistance and the Nashville! everything was perfect.. full of flavour, well seasoned, juicy and just one darn good burger! they also got a new monthly burger so its def one to check out on the monthly! highly recommend!

What a great little hole in the wall! Burgers are top notch, some of the best in Melbourne. They are quality ingredients that taste great, filling but won't leave you feeling yucky. Good menu variety but not large enough to confuse you and these guys are happy for change. Good space in the alley or downstairs to dine. Definitely try if you love a good burger

The burgers and fries here are to die for! Seriously one of the best burger spots in Melbourne. Their home-made burger buns are sooo nice and fluffy and both their beef and chicken patties are juicy and delicious. The fries here taste glorious, especially with the Chipotle mayo. Without hesitation, I'd say that they're the best fries I've ever had. The cocktails here are also pretty nice.

Amazing place, some of the best burgers I've had and at a great price. Fresh ingredients and a varied menu, the house made buns really stand out (they don't fall apart like most other buns do!) Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks and cocktails too.

Great burgers, drinks and comedy. A hidden little gem. Order from the upstairs bar or from your table. Multi level with stairs (3 levels). Only the middle level is suitable for disability access. Register and toilets are accessible by stairs only.

I ordered the Pablo Escobar burger and this was one of the best burgers that I’ve tried! 🍔 The chicken was juicy and so delicious, beyond belief. Chips were seasoned to perfection and the sauce was incredible! 🙌 No doubt, I’ll be back for another burger! 🙏

My all time fav burgers Bar! The Resistance Bar is such a humble little venue that are so passionate about their product they go to such huge lengths to create. Personally i'd call these the best tasting burgers in all Melbourne! Everything is homemade, heck they even make thier own burger buns onsite each and every day!!! Its love at first bite. A definite must try.

Absolutely LOVE The Resistance! Amazing staff, great food and awesome vibes with a killer playlist and cool downstairs set up! Their burgers are incredible and easily one of the best burger buns I've ever had (made in-house!) I simply cannot recommend The Resistance enough! ✌

Seriously the best Hamburger joint I have ever been to in 8 years! Staff are phenomenal, tunes jiving with your meals, and for those community minded people (something we should all be!) they even have a section where you can donate non perishable items for those less fortunate! Supporting your fav eatery whilst doing some good! Thank you so much lovelies - no more boring Friday pizza nights!

Takeaway beef and chicken burger. Burgers were really good! Had some difficulties in store ordering. No menus available and some odd interactions with owner and staff. Ultimately there for the burger which was really good. Venue needs a face list.

A hidden gem!! Doesnt look like much from the outside but the vibe and food is amazing! Ordered the la resistance, nashville burgerd and the pulled pork topped beer battered fries! Amazing flavour and would come back again! Didnt really give it a go but theyve got some games as well you can play to snack along with your food! Service was also exceptional really polite and humble staff 🙂

Came here for lunch and absolutely loved it. The resistance bar and cafe is a located in a lovely area and surrounded by a great atmosphere. The food was just as good and worth the money. My friends and I will definitely be coming back here for good music, amazing food, and lovely service. 10/10

Food is awesome, especially the beef burger. Also had the Nashville Hot Bird, deadly spice level. Don't stress, it's not crazy spicy. Chips are good. Service is mostly done via QR code ordering, works OK. They only had one beer variety available for the night, but it was tasty so can't complain. Had a comedy show on that night which added to the night. I will certainly be back for the burger. Not super big, but super tasty. Updated to include a second visit a few weeks later. The two new people I dragged along also loved the burgers.. If you love a burger, this has to be on your list!

Been meaning to pay a visit to Resistance bar and Burgers as a fanatic burger enthusiast has been raving on the burgers here, probably “the best burgers he has tasted” Big statement! so had to try it!! Every time I visit a burger joint, gotta be honest I’ll only try the classics which I’m sure would most likely be their specialty and well perfected recipe! So, here we go! Resistance classic Burger! Angus beef patty, American cheddar and resistance secret spread! clean fresh flavour, not greasy, well cooked, brioche bun(?) home made? milky soft yet sweetish. A classic favourite! Ticked all the boxes! But my appetite was a little bigger then the classic! 😆 Nashville Hot Bird! Here we come!! Secret Spiced Chilli Oil Dipped Fried Chicken Dusted with Some of the Hottest Chilli Powders in the World? We opted for Hot powder but wasn’t really sweating bullets…..yet. Come Back Sauce, Pickles and South Side Slaw served on our Famous Home-Made Bun. Loved the flavours all infused in one big bite! The Atmosphere was really where the excitement hit! Good vibe for relaxing, chilling out with a couple of bevs and some mates would top this place off! The two level dining was a win, base floor a little darker setting for the sit and relax feel. Upstairs a quick feed and out. The Burger enthusiast, must try!

Located just off Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn, in the busy strip located under the train overpass. Resistance was a real stand out burger place. In the super competitive market of burgers, Resistance provided the classic 'grease ball' burger. Good size, tons of flavour, and great options for all burger enjoyers. They had great chips and exceptional chicken tenders. Given their location you certainly paid premium for their food, but it was well worth the occasional guilty trip. While their location and great food worked in their favour, their lack of good seating and slower service did not. I was willing to wait for their wonderful burgers but they do take time to put together. Although closed at the moment as they search for a new place to call home, I would highly recommend visiting their new location when they open back up 🤞 I hope their new location is a blessing in disguise, and it brings more people to this amazing burger spot. I know I'll be there.

The food was great. My friends have gotten their food after 30 mins but after being informed that mine is coming too I had to wait another 30. When it finally came out it was missing a 4.50 chicken add-on (even though it was still available on the ordering website) as the waiter did not point out the missing chicken I had to. He explained that the chicken was out of stock today. I had to remind him that we did pay extra for a chicken. I was offered a free beer in exchange after mentioning this. I have been waiting for that beer for the last 10 minutes. The place doesn't seem to have front of house staff only. Everyone was in the kitchen when I checked, this can be easily avoided with having actual front of house staff. Please make sure you give your staff access or proper training to change the item availability on the website so this can be avoided. Please communicate to staff that when fixing mistakes by giving out compensation it should be a higher priority. The service was friendly though Will return at some point. It would be good to see things being different

Pleasant little bar almost hidden off the main street. Great little chill out downstairs if you don't want to be sitting up top. Nice range or pub grub, but can be limited in the range of drinks available from time to time. Service is either at the bar, or order via your phone and they will bring it to you

AMAZING burgers!! Seriously they are just so good. We had the resistance and chilli cheese. Excellent service from the very helpful Shu. Fries are crispy and tasty. Would also recommend the vanilla malt milkshake- so malty!!

Used to come here all the time for a good feed. But I recently visited and was a bit disappointed at the price. They don't take orders at the bar anymore and ask you to order from the QR code on the table, which in doing so incurs a $5 compulsory service fee. So you end up paying around $30 for a burger and chips (couldn't budget a drink). I understand times are tough but considering the "service" was just chef dropping my food at the table, it's hard to justify the extra $5 just for using a web app. Don't get me wrong, people are lovely and the food was good, but I won't be returning until they at least drop the extra fees.

The best chicken burgers in Melbourne and never disappoint every time I’ve been. I love the loaded fries and have the best vibe downstairs. The staff are so friendly, always willing to help and constantly have a smile on their face. Jay is the man and always has time for his customers, I wish I could have it more often.

I made a booking for 4 people for my husbands birthday. Upon arrival the waitress was unaware of my booking and could only initially offer us the couch which I declined and asked for an actual table which they were eventfully able to do. Each person ordered 1 burger which varied from 40 minutes to 60 minutes to arrive. One person did not get their meal until I had already finished mine. Overall, poor service, burgers were okay but not worth waiting 1 hour for.

Been visiting these legends for 6 years since they opened! Burgers are next level, with their own homemade buns, and burgers packed with epic flavour combinations. After one visit you'll be hooked, don't say I haven't warned you !!

Best burgers. Service is always amazing and Tuesday comidy is always good fun. Don't go if you are in a rush as they are busy so the food takes a while but we'll worth the wait.

Great burgers and shakes. Fresh and yummy. They often seems a little understaffed, so just know you might be waiting a while for your food/drink. This doesn't bother us, as we are happy to wait for quality. Just good to keep the expected wait time in mind, and maybe choose a different spot if you're in a hurry/about to go to a movie, etc
