Tried the pig trotters noodles, pork chitterling noodle, and pig ears side dish. Not bad but the trotters need to be softer and the chitterlings still have a bit of intestines smell. Good service and spacious location.

Strange name for an otherwise unremarkable place. Anyway, I ordered The Fried Chicken Noodle Soup ($ 17.80). I was really underwhelmed by the dish. The soup itself was lacking flavour. Not bland, but very boring. The noodles were lackluster. The only saving grace were the fried chicken, which were done properly. I could be wrong if that's how Sichuan noodles are supposed to be but I didn't enjoy it very much. Another thing that really bothered me was the behaviour of the staff who took my order. She might have had a not-so-good day, but putting in cleaned chopsticks in the holders on the table while customers are still eating is straight up unprofessional, and bothersome. I couldn't find anything dainty about this place.

It's ok but nothing extraordinary unfortunately. The beef was tender, just melts in your mouth. The soup could be a tad more spicy for that "it burns but I can't stop eating" kick I was looking for. The noodles were a little disappointing, too soft and soggy for my liking. Overall, a decent feed but there are better places to get noodle soup in the CBD.

I love their noodle soup the one with chicken and pork belly. Perfect for cold weather, the broth is very tasty. Very quick, you don’t have to wait too long to get your meal. Most likely people are in and out, you would get a sit straight away.

Newly opened. Just had a quick snack, so cannot give a definitive rating. Will return later. Came back for noodles with beef and spring rolls

Wow this place is under rated! The food is so authentic as if I’m back in China 🇨🇳 every time I go. Love the jelly noodles! A must try if you love spicy food!

A convenient place to get some hometown flavor fix. Didn’t know at the first time that you can ask for a drier soup base and firmer noodles which are essential to the flavor.

Food was a bit of a letdown. We ordered the traditional beef noodle soup and dry noodles with pork mince. Noodle soup really lacked flavour and depth. If you go to bowltiful, lanzhou beef noodle, or similar places, you will notice the soup has excellent flavour, which was noticeably missing here. The dry noodles came swimming in oil...ok sichuan style. But the chickpeas were totally overcooked into mush (check my photo)...it was like covering your dan dan noodles in mashed potato! It was not nice at all. Flavour was much better than the noodle soup, however. Overall, given the reputation of Dainty Sichuan, i expected MUCH better food. Good luck competing with all the other sichuan noodle eateries out there.

Fantastic authentic spicy Sichuan noodles. Kids loved it and I highly recommend the dumplings or crispy fried chicken pieces for dunking into the large soup, noodle and meat bowls. Tucked away, but worth seeking out for a real Sichuan experience.

As a Sichuan person, I have to say the food was quite authentic. I especially liked the pork intestine noodle. It is hard to prepare it right but they nailed it, with the right amount of spiciness (for me). Another recommendation is the fried rice cake with crispy skin and is chewy and tender inside. Although you have to consume it ASAP when it's hot. The other dishes are also good. Go for noodles with beef chops if intestines are not your thing.

I ordered sour spicy beef potato noodle. The quality is excellent but it’s pricey compared to the amount of food. Another the down side is one of the staff was kinda impolite while I was eating. She told a group of people to sit on my table cos I was the only one sitting on the edge of the table. So far it’s fair enough. But later she told them in a loud voice that I will leave soon while I still had nearly half of the food in my bowl. If you don’t mind with the quality of the service, definitely come and try their excellent noodles.

I and was very disapointed with the two largish fatty, grislty bits of beef which contained practically no actual meat. - I had the spicy and sour potato noodles with beef. The source tasted ok, couldn't finish it though as it started to make feel a little sickly. Wasn't worth the price of $16,80.

The Chongqing spicy noodle with beef is the best 👍🏻✨ it’s really hot 🔥 that can makes your tongue numb. 🥩 The beef was so tender and the soup so flavourful. I will definitely come back for this kind of noodle again.

Wonderful. I orders the dumplings and I think they are clearly Melbourne’s best. When you bite into the dumplings, they pop into your mouth, exposing you to an outstanding burst of flavor 🤩 I would definitely recommend trying their dumplings.

I finished all. The food is very delicious and service is great as well. The cashier is quick and friendly, she helps the kitchen to bring out the food as quickly as possible during busy time, very professional. Definitely come again.

Very authentic taste of Sichuan. Veggie/meat skewers are a must try. For $7.8 you get a combination of 10 meat and veggie skewers.

Good place. Varied menu if you can't find something here you like maybe this kind of thing isn't your kind of thing. When the menu mentions dishes are "spicy" they mean it. Good sized serves for the price, fast and efficient service but not super friendly but sometimes you just want to eat your food and get on with your life so I don't rate that as a negative by any stretch if the imagination.

As someone who lived in Sichuan for two and a half years, this is the most authentic Sichuan style noodle place you can find in Melbourne. Period. I have seen some reviews saying that the Peas in the Pea & Mince noodle is overcooked.... Mate. This is called 碗杂面,that's how peas were supposed to be cooked in 碗杂面! I have been a solid fan since 2016. It used to be in Emporium and I used to go there a few times a week. It was so busy and the lines were so long but totally worth it. I was gutted when it closed after Covid but so glad it reopened in QV later on. The Traditional Noodle is my favorite because the soup base is just so authentic and yum. Love that it has mustard tubes, pickles and peanuts in it which is how they do it in Sichuan. The beef in the beef noodle is stewed to perfection. The peas and pork mince noodle is so authentic and yum. The sour and spicy potato noodles is a must-try too....I could go on all day. And I could eat 2 bowls by myself and not eat for the next two meals. I just love this place!
