We love visiting The Kennels at Goodwood regularly, it’s a home from home. The main drawing room and upstairs library are decorated in traditional English country house style, and are very comfortable, with a relaxed ambiance. In good weather there’s plenty of seating outdoors on the terraces, and there’s also a covered bar area. Food and drink in the bar and restaurant is a very high standard and the staff are always lovely and friendly. Sometimes there can be a delay in getting served if it’s busy. Other times the whole place can be closed for private functions, which can be frustrating, although the Goodwood Hotel and Aerodrome Café are reasonable alternatives when needed. There are usually a few interesting cars in the carpark. Highly recommended.

The kennels is a private members club (£170 pa for social membership and included with Gym/GGRC/Flying club/horse racing subscription). Most might attribute a stuffy atmosphere to such an establishment but quite to the contrary there are many raucous functions that I have enjoyed immensely. The recent Oktoberfest was great fun and involved lots of beer, dancing, beer, pretzels and yet more beer. If you value a relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful location, go and have a look. It's not cheap but quality of this standard isn't. The value is in the experience and the decorum. ------ Update 2020: Still going here, still as good as ever. The cakes, scones, beer nuts,...in fact all the foods are to die for.

Great location with fantastic service. Good range of staff which were all very helpful. Lovely location too steeped in history. Ample parking across the road Great wine selection was knowledge staff to offer guidance Food was great and speedy to come with a good selection on the menu. Would recommend and would go again

Hospitality at the Kennels, for Goodwood Festival of Speed. Simply incredible. The food at the Kennels was exemplary, the event organisation was simply outstanding, and luckily for us the weather was wonderful too. If you like cars, this place is a Mecca and must be visited at least once in your lifetime.

An absolutely beautiful venue, and an excellent way to enjoy the Goodwood Revival Festival with a brilliant "taxi" service to the event.

Brilliant staff and the drivers were all extremely patient and helpful. If you're staying at Goodwood Hotel or attending Goodwood Races I cannot recommend the service given at The Kennels highly enough.

Nice place to have food and drinks either after a game of golf or even if you are pacing by. Well renovated and good service.

Simply fabulous meal, with silky smooth service. I was looked after very well indeed. Could not find fault with anything.

Great coffee and dinning menu relaxing atmosphere with a higher end feel lovely views over the goodwood estate and not to mention the open fire for the winter months and the outside patio area for those summer sunset evenings.

Went here twice in one week. Once with my mother who has a social membership & had a bar lunch (no need to book, but first come first served if there are tables available) & second visit with my father who has Goodwood horse racing membership for Sunday lunch, which was booked in advance. Both times enjoyable & food was excellent. Lunch was light bites, croque Monsieur & BLT on sourdough with hot chocolate & latte. Sunday lunch was a roast & thankfully a few other options (I had haddock & chips). Service on both occasions very good. My father is on first names with a lot of the staff as he frequents the bar often for lunch. You have to be a member of some sort to go here but you then are able to take guests like myself who are non members. Plenty of parking literally across the road, but be careful when crossing as this road can be treacherous. I'd say dress is smart casual, unsure if this is an unwritten rule if you like. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the bar area & by the fireside seating at lunch. There is more seating outside the bar area in the summer on the terrace, but on this occasion no one was outside as it was December. Both delightful visits. Waiting to be invited again.

The Kennels is a fantastic member's clubhouse for the whole estate. It has views across the fields and up to the main house. The restaurant is a fantastic place to have a lovely meal. Had dinner in the main dinning room which was lovely with fantastic and attentive staff. A must for all members to vist no matter what one of the Goodwood clubs you belong to.

Wonderful place for dogs to go. So accommodating and such lovely grounds. Parking is large but sometimes (mostly) you will be pushed to the back and parking pretty much in the woods. Still on stones however.

The wife and I had a lovely afternoon tea as a surprise for our wedding anniversary. The big surprise for her was the afternoon tea for the 'kids'. The service and food was very good as one would expect from the Goodwood Estate. The staff were attentive and efficient and friendly, again, as one would expect from the Goodwood Estate. The ambience was very nice too. I would heartily recommend visiting, even if just for human afternoon tea.
