🤔 what a mixed bag of an experience, this was "D" in our alphadate nights and let's just say that it didn't live up to expectations. We were seated next to a busy path to the kitchen and another dining room, so the human traffic volume was immense and off-putting, leading to no privacy for a chat. The menu was expensive so we were expecting top quality but sadly the food didn't live up to the price, but was made up with quantity, leaving us to full to order desert. The staff were polite and on point, we were never waiting long for anything and nothing was a problem (apart from the chips which were like leather). All in all not a bad experience as the place was lovely and clean with great decor, but we won't be rushing back. Hope you found this helpful and pop me a thumbs up 👍 thank you

Great food, great staff, great selection of drinks! Lovely setting right next to the canal path. Great outdoor area to soak up the sun

A very nice place to eat and drink something. You can eat inside but also outside where you can admire the river. The servers are nice, but you need to take the order at the bar

We came for a quiet afternoon of food and drinks but also to celebrate a special moment. The lady serving us picked up on that and without even being asked sent this to our table! The staff across the board were attentive and the service was amazing but this was really touching. Thank you :)

Been here twice now for food and not overly impressed. The food has been tasty enough but both times we had to send our food back to be reheated as was luke warm at best. We had a Xmas meal there on the weekend and again had to send some of our food back to reheated and prices were a bit excessive for the quality. But the atmosphere there is lovely, the staff are great and very attentive. They have a great selection of drinks, a nice bar area and fantastic seating outside so we will visit again and would recommend but for drinks only as food unfortunately lets them down a bit.

Many thanks for today. We had an outdoor pod, 23rd December so busy and I had my autistic 18 year old son and your service was excellent, I noticed how staff adapted and we are coming back for his birthday, he's very happy with the visit.

Last minute booking and glad we did. Service was spot on, and food was really good. Arrived early but was still seated right away. The only downside couldn't park, so we had to park about 250m away. But that's probably Sunday lunchtime for you .

Lovely pub catering for a high class of client, very nice beer garden overlooking the canal, very nice food and a wonderful interior decor to set the tone for a relaxed enjoyable visit.

I think the Dragon, maybe, has designs above its station if its food is anything to go by. Two of us went for a special dinner, so we could have gone anywhere, but we like the Dragon for its quiz and excellent beer. Its problem is price. Like anyone I don't mind paying for quality but the food was average at best, and worst of all, some dishes were tepid. We had the sharer starters of Katsu wedges, prawn bruschetta and loaded mushrooms. The mushrooms came out after we'd finished the other two and were cold. The wedges and the prawns were good though. Next we had loaded burger and a tepid mushroom stroganoff and for dessert stem ginger sticky toffee pud with a thin custard and a vegan tiramisu, whuch wad ok but all the taste was in the last mouthful. Overall we paid a lot of money for what was basically Harvester fayre. It was extremely disappointing and they really need to look at whether or not they should reduce food prices or increase the menu or the quality. Staff great though to be fair and we will still quiz and drink there but not eat unless things change

Lovely pub by the canal/river. Visited for breakfast meeting. Food was very tasty and well presented and service was excellent. Trade seemed quite buoyant for a cold January day. Would like to visit again in the summer and watch the boats and world go by.

Absolutely gorgeous food and impeccable service. One of our favourite places to eat. Food is always beautifully presented and the staff can never do enough to help. A must visit - just be sure to book as it is incredibly popular!

Service was fab, friendly and helpful. The food was great, we enjoyed breakfast coffee and a cheeky prosecco. Nice space outside at the back to sit and relax.

Food was pretty good and staff friendly, but service was very slow due to understaffing. A little pricey for what it was, but pleasant surroundings and situated along a canal tow path xxx

Not a good, not a bad experience. The place next to the canal was really busy today, as Summer had arrived They ran out of most of beers on the menu, and by the time I ordered they ran out of more so I was served a cheaper brew and pointed out to them and they refunded promptly. The food was a bit pricey, typical gastropub, chicken burger was quite thin when biting into it, a thumb full of coleslaw and "skin on" thin fries, for £15 quid Service was good, with posh sauces and nice views

Really enjoyed the evening. The food was great. We did have one issue but it was sorted without question. If you ever fancy a really good meal, I can honestly recommend the burger or the pie, both were fantastic.

We’ve been 3 times to the Dragon over the last year. To be honest it just gets better. We’re 4 old biker mates( well not that old!). We meet up regularly and usually pick a different pub each time. This place is obviously great as it’s the third time on the trot. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the food is awesome. We had the fish finger sandwich and the burnt beef. It’s not really burnt! The portions are generous and beautifully cooked. Their sandwiches in name only, it’s actually a proper meal. Today was particularly busy, but the wait was minimal. The place was buzzing, smartly dressed families and friends enjoying the food and atmosphere. Oh, and not forgetting the beer, what a fabulous selection of cask ales and premium lagers. We’ll be definitely come again, what a fabulous place to meet old friends. Highly Recommend

The best Sunday roast we have had in a long time beef superb and the loin of pork, good servings and lovely fresh huge yorkers, service was good for mains but we had to ask and chase several times for our ordered desserts, but when they did arrive were excellent, will certainly be going again.

Had a top notch Christmas meal in this quaint village pub. Beautifully decorated and inviting, lovely atmosphere. Food was of very high quality, prepared with love and care. We were served with a smile and the bartender knew their products very well. Warm and cosy place with lots of tables, fantastic dining and bar area and nice music
