Nice setting with a big car park. Staff were friendly enough. Good bar.. Good food. Good service. General decor is getting dated but fits in with character of hotel. Descent enough breakfast used as a stopover before going to download Festival.

Lovely little get away place from the busy city life. Not hard to find close to major main road including the M42. Child friendly, wheel chair access and plenty disability parking. Food and drinks worth every penny, nice large portion size meals. Highly recommend. Also good customer service.

A lovely hotel with a big car park. The staff were very friendly. It has good food; vegan options are available too. I enjoyed the service i received. Decor is like 1990; but I think they'll left it or done it like that on purpose as it matches the hotel theme.

We didn't stay overnight, just came for a meal out with distant family after visiting Twycross zoo together. I have to leave a review because the food and service here were absolutely outstanding and definitely something the owners/staff should be proud of :) 1) there's plenty of parking 2) play area for the children 3) ALL of the staff looked happy to be there, and were super friendly and approachable with great manners. They were really accommodating with our 3 year old as well who can be fussy with his food, and a little bit loud. And they ask about any allergies etc beforehand as well. 4) the whole menu- starter, mains, desserts, and drinks, including the children's menus - we tend to eat out alot but the variety and choice here is probably one of the best menus we have had the pleasure of eating from! 5) the presentation of the food was 10/10, it smelt divine as other tables also received their meals as well! And it was all cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. 6) service was always fast. 7) prices were reasonable, well worth the money for everything you receive. The portion size is plentiful as well! :) We would definitely visit here if coming to the area again. We didn't see the hotel but it looked nice and clean from the outside and in a good location. I usually leave good/bad points to a review but there are literally only good things to say about this venue. So thank you for a splendid end to our day :)

This place is a real gem. Loads of space in the family room we had. The food (dinner and breakfast) was great. Really sensibly priced. Best of all though was the staff who were all so friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again. The room had everything we needed, was clean and spacious.

Stayed here for one night Hotel room was clean and really spacious. Comfy beds and a lovely shower Receptionist was lovely provided us with extra towels for our stay. Breakfast was included in the stay food was good a standard full English. However glasses could do with a proper clean the waitress gave us one which had a pink lipstick stain on it. We asked for a new glass then she brought out another but it also had a pink lipstick mark on it she said that she had gotten us a new one clearly not. Third time lucky it was spot less. Would stay again.

We had our club Xmas lunch here and the staff took really good care of us from the minute we arrived. Prompt service, great food. Highly recommended.

Call and had a meal on way home. Could not fault it, we had a meal from the lunchtime menu and was very impressed. Plenty to eat on plate. The staff where pleasant and efficient and the surroundings and facilities where very good. Will definitely be going back and to top it all off they serve a good glass of beer. We'll done.

We booked a table for an evening meal for a friends birthday. We arrived early & our table wasn't ready so we sat in the bar & were taken to our table within about 10 minutes. We ordered our own drinks at the bar but a waitress took our food orders. The food arrived quickly & was well presented & very tasty. For starters my wife & I had the seafood sharing platter which was absolutely delicious & what great value for money. For mains we had jerk sea bass & sea bass off the specials menu. Again both meals were excellent, staff & service all on point. It had been a few years since we had been down in this area, but have eaten there on numerous occasions & to be honest it is still a great place to eat, & would highly recommend it. A massive car park, the toilets were all clean & a nice ambience in the restaurant itself.

What a fantastic find. From walking in to walking out, it was a great experience. We were allocated our unbooked table, which really surprised us as the restaurant was rammed. Our drinks order was taken instantly, 5 minutes later food was ordered. Another 15 minutes and the food was on the table piping hot, I had the fish and chips and WoW! The cod was around 2 inches thick and simply the best I've ever had. Keep up the good work, your doing an amazing job. We will be back. Thank you.

8 of us went for an evening meal and it was perfect. Starting with our waitress being meticulous in taking our orders, through to speed of service (just right), quality and quantity of food and drinks, checking in with us, even wrapping my left over pizza (too much for me, but too good to leave). Friendly and attentive without being too much. We had a lovely evening. Shame a bit far out for me to go regularly, but perfect as a central meeting point.

Been here a couple of times now for food, never disappointed. Staff are friendly and the food is always good. Fair priced, and the portions are big.

I’ve been visiting for over 15 years for a good fillet steak which has always been great. Today I ordered a fillet Steak it came out like a lump of charcoal so I sent it back, I did not want to reorder another meal (put off also my wife was already eating her meal so didn’t want to wait) the manageress did say it was moist in the middle !?!? 🤣🤣 (so maybe I should have just eaten the bit in the middle) 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Took a gamble on this new venue for me when I met a friend half way between our work places. I must say rhe staff were 👏, really aren't I've and polite. There was so many staff to ask and there was no ' I'll have to get your waitress' everyone was eager to help. Burgers, love a good burger and thes came with some beefy chips. Amazing. Arranged another meet up there again with my friend . Very good value for money

I have stayed here many times over the years. The price is right, the food is very good and the rooms are well kept and clean. This is not a hotel for a long stay, but for a few days is perfect.

The room was clean, beds are comfortable. Must admit the size of the place is bigger than I expected, so we found quiet a walk from car to reception then up to the room. That been said it wouldn’t put me off staying there again. In the morning breakfast was served to you at table, the service was good and the food was ok “I like my grilled tomatos grilled a bit more to be fair” and my poached egg was more of a hard boiled egg.. that been said I didn’t mention or complain about it but I’m sure if I had they would’ve supplied me another. All in all good b&b hotel I give it 8/10

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for 2 nights, wanted to stay a third but they were fully booked. The room was fantastic as mam is disabled, we could park straight outside the door, the room was immaculate with plenty of space, had everything we needed, the breakfast was included and so much to choose from. The evening meals were great, but pleased we booked for evening meal as it was very busy, all the staff were friendly (inc foxy) and they couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be going back.

Traditional comfortable hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Restaurant very good. Good cooked breakfast but as made to order can apparently take up to 30 mins to arrive, not great if you have a schedule.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting for Conkers and Thomas Land at Drayton Manor with our 3 year old son. We had a family room which was perfect. Clean and comfy. The location was perfect for where we need to be and the food was incredible. Breakfast was just what we needed and the pub food was fantastic. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly. Overall, the perfect mini break for us. We shall definitely be returning.

Food was tasty, piping hot , plenty of food for the price. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, ( we booked for 12 but 13 turned up, and they managed to seat the extra guest.). Personally I found the pub layout a little odd, it felt like we were seated in a corridor, but that aside, the staff were pleasant, the atmosphere was great and we enjoyed our evening. Very good .

Here for an overnight stay. Room was very clean and comfortable but the cups were not clean (very minor). Staff are so helpful and friendly. On arrival they very kindly changed my room for an accessible one as I have mobility issues. The rooms are very spacious. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Each room has an emergency light over the door but it has a green light which, once all the lights are off, is a very bright neon green which illuminates the whole room. Unfortunately, I found it quite difficult to go to sleep and stay asleep. We also, unfortunately, had unbelievably inconsiderate guests above us . The noise was ridiculous and went on well into the early hours. Guests like this should be automatically banned from returning as it ruins everyone else's experience. However, regardless of this, I would definitely recommend the Inn. We also booked our evening meal in the restaurant. Very reasonably priced and huge portions. Staff are lovely but it would be nice to be able recognise the staff who are particularly helpful but there were no name badges. Thank you all for being so nice. You are a credit to the hotel

I live fairly local, short drive away, and have eaten lovely main food here before. Today just popped in on the off chance for Coffee and a pudding with a Friend who doesn't live in the area. It is easy to park there, and the Staff are nice, who found us a table and served us quite quickly. There were so many lovely puddings to choose from, we were spoiled for choice.

Met a friend for a meal the food choices are excellent. The meals were really generous portion sizes I had to take some of mine home. They do smaller plates so next time I shall have one of those

The room was well appointed and surprisingly large, the restaurant staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. It was a nice place to stay while I had my first track day experience at a nearby spirit course. I decided to stay nearby as I live 3 hours from the track.

A great place to stay. We were in town for a wedding and the staff were extremely good getting our rooms ready early so that we could get dressed before the wedding. The rooms were clean and comfy and the breakfast was great and all for a fabulous price. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

I've eaten here lots of times, the service is quick, efficient and attentive. The portion sizes are very generous and the food is good quality, tasty, fresh and delicious pub grub. It is always busy and it's easy to see why, highly recommend.

Awesome experience from this place. Staff are brilliant, the food is next level, can't fault the place as I'm here every weekend.

A lovely warm welcome from reception staff who showed us to our room. We needed an accessible room which was in a separate building but had its own parking space right outside the front door, perfect for carrying in heavy medical equipment. The room was sparkling clean, even under the beds and tons of space for a wheelchair to move around. Walk-in shower with seat in separate wet room was great. The room also had a fridge, kettle and usual tea/coffee etc. Priced at £89 including a cooked breakfast it gives Premiere Inn a run for its money. Main hotel building was clean and spacious with a good menu. Decor is, as others have said, a little dated being 80s/90s style dark wood everywhere but this really didn't detract from the experience because of the excellent service and facilities. Very refreshing to find such a perfect little place to stay. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

This was the 3rd visit here for a family meal & I must say all 3 were a disappointment. Quantity rather than quality is the problem here. Meals so large meant stuff left, in this day & age, it's too expensive to do that. Didn't complain, as our visits were paid for by family members. Staff were exceptional, efficient & helpful, thank you. Please take this constructive criticism as it is intended, I will visit again sometime, to see if I was just unfortunate.

Didn't stay here only had food. Food was good with plenty of veggie options my only gripe would be the portion sizes were way to big, meaning everyone left waste behind them. I personally had the veggie fajitas, which were nice but came with 3 12" tortillas making the Wraps impossible to fill and making the meal impossible to finish. Especially at 2 o'clock in the day.

We (myself and the Tamworth Stroke Club) have been enjoying our Christmas at the Appleby Inn for 4 years now and they have never been anything but accommodating and friendly. We always feel welcomed and looked after, nothing seems too much trouble. And the meal itself ... perfect every time, and more than fair portions! My Christmas starts the day we come here!!! Thank you for such a wonderful time, every time!

Booked Table for 4 after being recommended. Orders were taken swiftly. Had a slight error with one of the meals but was rectified within min. Food it's self was nice and great value for money. Will definitely return

We stayed here after a visit to the National Arboretum. We were in a room at the rear suitable for disabled as one of our group had mobility issues. The room was excellent, clean and spacious. The food was excellent, we had breakfast and an evening meal. The hotel is conveniently situated just off access to the M1 👍

Service was great, staff friendly and polite, very busy second day, had food before drinks were even served. food ample, so much I ordered a small meal the second day. Bed was comfortable, no noise from road as others say but my room overlooked the car park, but near the road. Would use again

The decor (and the menu) are from the 1990's, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The staff are friendly, competent and efficient. The service was quick but not rushed. The portions are generous, the food tasty, and excellent value. It's not going to win any style awards (maybe in the retro category?) but it's decent grub at a decent price and seems to be very popular.
