If you haven’t paid a visit to the Mill Cafe recently….you’re missing out. This has become a real favourite hang out of mine. Working from home and seeing the same four walls day in day out, the Mill Cafe offers a welcome change of scenery and with great Wi-Fi, friendly staff, good food and drinks - it’s the perfect place to get out the house to. The sourdough toasties are awesome and they have a selection of freshly baked goods every day. So….don’t wait any longer get down there (just don’t take my chair 😉)

What transformation the Mill has had ,very relaxed and well thought out renovation of the coffee shop with modern touches which compliment the historic mill building. The coffee is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and attentive, there is plenty of parking and routes to walk around the village and by the river. The coffee is roasted locally and the cakes are baked by a local independent bakers too,I’m looking forward to the kitchen opening in the near future. I thoroughly recommend a visit

My mum, myself, and my puppy 'Gus' visited on a lovely sunny day. Very friendly service, we sat outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoyed our lunch of toasted sandwiches. Gus had a puppy pot (much to his delight). This contained some slices of sausage. We would definitely visit again.

Interesting and historical old mill. There is plenty of space inside and outside to have a bite or just a coffee. We went there because it is dog friendly and we loved the place! We had two chicken and avocado toasties for breakfast and were delicious. The 2 toasties, 2 latte and 2 pies, were 31 pounds well deserved as everything is exquisite and handmade. The quantity is also really good. The place was full of well-behaved dogs. Parking is free, and you can find lots of public pathways around to have a nice walk with your best buddy 🐕. We will come back!

Went there at lunchtime for some coffees and cheese toasties along with some cake. The food was fine and no complaints but the hot drinks were not great I am afraid. Service was quite quick and friendly enough. Baby change and toilets very close by but be careful of the water in wash basin as very hot! Gaps between tables are so narrow that it was difficult to move a pushchair along. I love the quaint environment as completely different to something like Costa. All in all I would go again but wouldn't get the same hot drinks as I did last time.

Thought I had left a review but I had left an update??? Food was excellent, staff were to. Parking was plentiful, lovely peaceful location for a lunch. Was quite busy but there are so many tables inside and out that you couldn’t tell. There is also a little kids adventure playground as well. Recommended and will return.

Lovely converted mill, with workings still visible. Lots of character. Fabulous walks directly from the Mill. Varied, tasty menu, with generous portions making it good value. Staff very friendly. Outside seating area & outside bar.

Great visit to The Mill Coffee Shop this afternoon!! Great to see some veggie and vegan treats on the counter, and milk alternatives covered 👍🏻 Love how they've styled the place, will be coming back

Amazing experience every time I visit. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly with the place having such a cosy feel. They have an excellent array of food on the menu, including vegan options which is great to see! There is some great walks nearby also which my dog loves. Would highly recommend visiting.

This was my first visit to the Mill Coffee Shop and I want to thank them for the warm welcome, friendly staff and amazing food. The ambience is one that I’d except of an old mill style cafe, with the original features in place. The food was tasty and I cannot recommend the red onion sausage rolls more!! So moreish, I had to restrain myself to only purchasing two!! Whilst there, they had a wildlife club, where owls were on display. I felt the child within me come alive, during the interaction with Animals. For families this must have been incredible and although this isn’t a regular feature, I found they have different events on all the time. I cannot recommend this place any more and I will definitely be heading back. It’s a big five star review and can’t wait to return!!

Really great cafe serving home made food and the most divine cakes and tray bakes. Perfectly located to take advantage of the open space around it, and even has a safe play area for kids too. The only thing that slightly peeves me about here is the opening hours, it's not quite long enough if you want to call in after work or late on a Sunday afternoon. Apart from that it's so worth a visit as the place is really lovely, along with all the staff that work there.

What a lovely place! Mitch and team have done a superb job at turning the Mill into a thriving cafe full of tasty food, drinks and treats! The atmosphere was that of a bustling community hub set in the backdrop of the historic Mill. Unfortunately we weren't around to use the outside bar on Pizza night but I'm sure it's a hit. Will definitely go back when we're next in the area!

Sadly not for vegans Really excited to visit today, especially after seeing the transformation of the place. The decor may be modern but sadly the menu isn't. The vegan options were 1 wrap, 2 cakes, staff mentioned there are usually vegan sausage rolls but none were made today. How disappointing. Its 2022 and some places just still don't make enough effort for plant based eaters, even though its growing in popularity.

Coffee was good. I’d recommend if you have a dog and want to sit for a drink. Food choices and quality not great. Lack of plant based options. The person I was with who ate a non plant based option said it was very greasy. Shame because the surroundings are beautiful.

When I say this place is amazing and very homely, I cannot express how lovely my morning went in there. Started off with some breakfast and a great welcoming atmosphere, to visiting a beautiful gallery upstairs, walked out into the play park with my toddler, took a stroll by the lake and ended up in a fantastic wooded kids “fairy land”!! Highly recommend this place, lovely seating outside/ inside, with a bonus parking space. My food was a 10/10 and the vibe was great!

This is a lovely independent place which is ideal for a weekend brunch or lunch in the sun. Ordering is done inside at the till but there’s a good amount of seating outside, with plenty of umbrellas providing shade. The food menu has a decent enough range of items given the size of the place and the service was fast. Portion size was impressive, good quality and tasty sandwiches and it was decent enough value for the setting. It was a shame that they had run out of cheese for the ham & cheese toastie, especially since cheese was still being served with other dishes, but it did give me the opportunity to experience the delicious chicken avo toastie instead! Drinks are all of the same quality as the food and there will be something for all tastes. A lovely asset to the area and a great spot for couples and families alike.

First visit to the mill coffee shop. It was busy but didn't feel over crowded. All the staff were really friendly and the service was quick. As a group we had a few dietary requirements but they didn't mind all the questions and were happy to accommodate us. The coffee shop was dog friendly with plenty of outside seating and a large free car park.

Lovely location & setting despite building works next door. Quaint building & ambience. Just popped in for breakfast of Sourdough toast OK needed more butter & slightly thicker bread for price. Bacon sandwich was Bap lovely bacon & amount but very dry again more butter or sauce required. Lovely hot Yorkshire tea & good cappuccino. Follow up check after serving food would be good. Nice visit 😊 Free Car Parking round back couple of disabled bays at front. Good sized disabled toilet & Baby change. 👶 Outdoor & Indoor seating.

A gem of a place. Lots of space to chill out or wander around. Great atmosphere, lovely staff. The Food Truck Friday's are particularly fun. I spoke with one of the food truck owners who told me they don't show up for the 'business' as much as the joy of being part of such a great vibe. Happy days!
