Beautiful small falls for a family day trip, couple of hours drive from Melbourne. Parking is very limited and there is a parking fee of $3 for cars. Toilets are available at the parking area. Please carry coins are the parking meters don't accept notes or card. The trail up to the waterfall is filled with Mosquito, recommended to Mosquito repellent for kids(Visited in December). The falls is open up until 11 PM, with flood lights at night. The path for the lower deck is similar to a pavement easy for kids.

Nice spot. Very popular. 700m easy grade walk to waterfall. Nice viewing platforms. Then 800m hike to the top of the falls. (I didn't go) Parking was a problem, but there was a warning sign well in advance reporting the problem. So you can turn back and go later, or wait in a queue. Other walking tracks in area. You can even hike back to town. No pets allowed on the walk.

So amazing. The falls are an easy walk from the parking lot. The falls are powerful and there is plenty of water. Certainly worth visiting. There is also some great hiking in this area, if you have extra time. Family friendly activity.

Seriously beautiful falls just outside of Marysville. It's about 90 minutes from suburban Melbourne. There are toilets and car park (bring coins for meters). The walk to the falls from the car park is quite easy. The walk to the top of the falls is far more challenging. The elderly will need to take it in stages. Young kids will ask 4,000 times "are we there yet??". If you get to the top of the falls you are rewarded with a viewing platform that allows you great views of the valley. On a hot day it's wonderful to cool off your feet in the crystal clear water. There are several other hiking trails for those with too much energy. There are very few sizable falls close to Melbourne - this is one of them and well worth the trip.

It’s one the good waterfalls we’ve seen in Victoria. You can walk onto the stone below the waterfall at base. There are 2 viewpoints at base for clicking good pics. If you are up for a small hike, you can go to the top of the waterfall too. Definitely worth visiting.

Lots of water made it a good experience. Viewing platforms are just a short walk from the carpark. Paths well made and easy to transverse. Seating along the way appreciated. Definitely worth a trip. Lots of other walks available for a range of abilities.

Beautiful waterfall around Melbourne, Victoria. 🌈I went to Black Spur Drive and added an extra 30 minutes to drive to enjoy one of Victoria’s stunning waterfalls.🀩 πŸ“STEAVENSON FALLS,Marysville, Victoria, They have free parking, some time you might need to wait 5-10, if parking is full. Need to walk 5-10 min with beautiful nature walk. 😍

The falls are always pretty and worth a look. There is a walk of about 700 metres along a fairly flat gravel path. Watch out for snakes on a warm day. It's a shame the track to the upper falls lookout and Keppels lookout was closed due to tree clearing works.

What an amazing place ! This place is surrounded by kid friendly parks, creeks, lakes and eateries. The falls in itself was mind blowing. It is a short walk to the falls. For a better view of the falls, there are 2 kinds of treks - one that is easily doable by kids(4-7 years) for 45 mins and the other for more seasoned trekkers which is a longer half day trek. We loved coming here in July 2023.

Amazing place with a beautiful waterfall! 10-15 minutes walk to the top of the falls and if you wish there is another track that takes you even further to see a. Beautiful view of the mountains and the town below. About 30 minutes in addition to the first trail.

Small hike to the top of the falls; a great weekend getaway. The parking can be a bit of a challenge, however additional spaces are available not too far from the base of the hike.

Fortunate to enjoy the beautiful view in the night very first time. The authorities have nicely arranged proper lightings on and around the Stevenson Falls, also on the path to the Falls.

Awesome place to spend few hours. Nice little trekking to top of the falls. No swimming allowed. Take some snacks and water to relax on top of water fall. Take note that it is paid Parking. Can't use cards to pay for parking.

If you're looking for a waterfall with a decent fall, this will be a really good one to visit, it's got the height and the water rush. We were however visiting on a rainy day so that clearly impacts water density, though signs do indicate that they get falls throughout the year. You're not allowed to go into the water as it's the town water supply, and you can't really find spots to sit on right next to flowing water with views of the fall if you're thinking of a picnic. We visited in the day but there's a turbine that powers up flood lights at night (till 11pm) so that would be quite interesting if you were staying nearby. The walk is not difficult for the average person (flat), but there's railings all the way from the carpark which may come in handy for some. Path is also rubbled so it wasn't muddy even with the rain. Public toilets available. Oct 2023

Steavenson Falls is perfect for folks who like both short and long journeys. You can take a quick 800m path to see the falls or opt for a longer, about 1-hour hike to reach the top. No entry fee, and there's plenty of parking. I visited on a day when the parking ticket machine was closed, so no charges. The falls are beautiful, and you can choose how much adventure you want – whether a short stroll or a longer hike – making it a great spot for everyone.

  • 3/5 Andres Felipe LΓ³pez G. 3 years ago on Google
It is a nice place if you keen to enjoy fresh air and enjoy the contact with freshwater and water falls. It is not a place to swimming because is the catchment point for the water company in this area. However, has an middle size track for admire the water fall from the bottom and at top. Is a bit crowded the carpark and for Covid at moment probably you have to park 2.5 km before the waterfalls, the walking is easy though.

This might not be the biggest waterfall, but you can get close to the waterfall to enjoy the sight and sound of the rushing water. The water volume is high and the environment is tranquil. It's winter during my visit so it can be quite chilly in the evening. It's worth visiting and I recommend it. ;)

We got there early so parking was a breeze. When we left, there were queues. Easy stroll to the falls. Slightly longer to the top lookout, but worth the walk.

Waterfalls are always so relaxing. Picturesque place and nice spot for taking all those family memories and portraits. Plenty of parking with a few sometimes, toilets to refresh and the falls is only a short walk from the park. Add this to your Marysville trip.

Absolutely brilliant, The flow of the falls were phenomenal, The falls are huge and you can get so up close that the icy cold spray gets you. Easy five just up from Bruno's art and sculpture garden. Toilets, seat, ample parking

Absolutely magical. It is a short walk to see one very impressive waterfall. We visited on a Saturday morning and we were lucky enough to arrive when someone was leaving, the carpark is very small. Worth the visit. Photos don't do it justice.

Great scenery and very easily accessible waterfall. The path there was very well kept and nicely lit when it gets dark thanks to the in-house turbine supplying the electricity. The trek up to the top of the falls can be a bit sketchy specially if it just rained in the area. The mud and the rocks will be tricky to navigate through during these times but rest assured, the view up the top is quite nice

Stevenson Falls such a great, peaceful, majestic, beautiful place. Whether it's a romantic day out with that special person, a fun family day or a great nature walk. Stevenson Falls is a place you can't miss. Victoria has so many wonderful places to see and little hidden gems. This is definitely one of those gems that needs to be on everyone's bucket list. With amenities and facilities, those comforts people need are available and after a shot walk from the car park to the Falls. It is sure to be a place you'll never forget. A definite must see.

Beautiful falls and very nice and easy place to hike with family and friends. Parking is little less if you go during public holiday and all. You will be able to park on the road side and walk a little.

  • 5/5 Pierre-Benn de V. 9 months ago on Google
This is now one of my favourite walks. Getting to the bottom of the waterfall is easy and you get a bit of that refreshing blast of mist spray. The top lookout point over the waterfall is worth the extra walk. The trail was a bit muddy and slippery (it's winter and rainy) at some points. Beautiful views, definitely worth it.

Make sure you go after dusk - the entire falls area is floodlit and it’s pretty impressive. Fairly short walk from the car park along an even path, with lighting, several seats available on the way for those tired. Impressive that all the lighting is green energy, powered by an internal hydro power station. Great during the day, better at night!

  • 5/5 Karen F. 6 months ago on Google
Easy walk to see the actual falls with a couple of options to walk up steps to the middle or top of the falls (not so easy). Only a few minutes from Brunos and town centre.

  • 5/5 Misha A. 5 months ago on Google
Very scenic place, we can take pictures right in front of the waterfall even. There are benches to just sit and relax. There should be charges for the parking ideally but the machine was not working today. You have acces to toilets near d entrance and also a small waterfall area for the kids to enjoy safely .

You can drive straight to the Falls and walk to the lookout or do the hike starting at Marysville on Kings road. We went on the weekend and the parking was free. Starting at the town makes the walk a lot longer, but definitely worth it.

Nice waterfall in Victoria. Anyone who are energetic can do a walk to the top of the waterfall in 15 - 30 mins. The others can enjoy the view from the bottom platform. A nice drive from Melbourne to Marysville via Black Spur drive.

Excellent hike from Marysville info centre to the waterfalls and continue on to Kepple lookout to loop back to the info centre. Great views and the biggest waterfall I have seen in Victoria so far.

  • 5/5 Anthony S. 3 years ago on Google
This is the trail that comes in from the back end of the Steavenson Falls and brings you to the top of these majestic waterfalls. It's called 'Keppels walking trail', it's 11km long and this loop is well worth it.

Amazing waterfalls. Visited in winter so lots of waterfall because of the snow on the mountains. Only a short flat walk from the carpark and a 10 min drive out from Marysville township. Only let down was the car park was over full at the time and made finding a spot difficult. The walking paths are nice and wide and very well maintained. Highly recommend
