Surprisingly disappointing. As it is in one of the busiest areas in Melbourne and the overall review on Google seems decent. The place is filthy, vibes are off. No one was paying attention to the customers and the bartender and waitress were busy flirting with each other. It was pretty quiet when we were there but yet they managed to screwed up our order. They made basic cocktails below average(Martini and French75). Overpriced, as they seem didnt even chill the cocktails with ice.

Sitting on the 2nd floor, really great and cosy bar in the city. It was a hot day in the afternoon, they are packed, people sitting next to the balcony to enjoy the breeze and some relaxing time over here. Had a cocktail which is so good. Staff were so sweet and nice.

Nice and cosy bar with old fashion feel. The balcony is a great spot to sit, as it has cool side alley way views. The cocktail menu is amazing! So many different choices!

Just get back to my bar visiting mode recent, checked in these ones I loved in the past, still into it. It’s a small cozy place near the famous De grave lane. Only about 10 tables. Has a little cute balcony (unfortunately people can smoke on it) Have a Raspberry Martini. Yummy

Brilliant, central venue. Amazing vibes. Chris and the staff will change your life. Very attentive, know their knowledge with drinks and amazing service. They will also carry you down the stairs 🤣.

Laidback bar, not too busy but were out of several ingredients to make the cocktails we initially ordered which was a bit dissappointing.

Small place upstairs. Couple tables facing street. Service is slow as if bartenders take their time or figure out how to make a cocktail. After waiting 5 minutes while they were making someone else's drink n chatting...I left. Worth checking out maybe during happy hour.

What a cool little bar in Melbourne CBD! Despite the colour of the walls, the food, staff and creative cocktails are exceptional. My negroni was to die for!

Disappointed this trip as the manager in the night did not have the welcoming attitude that the other staff showed. He bordered on rude and disinterested. Still giving three stars for the other staff who were lovely.

A mate and I have been regular Friday after work patrons for about 20 years. The Lustre Bar is a quirky little establishment close to Melbourne's iconic Flinders Street station. Entrance is on Centre Place. COVID-19 restrictions means the establishment is limited to 35 people and advance bookings are required. The Lustre Bar web site does not make this clear. Recently (December 11) my mate and I were denied entrance because the Lustre Bar was "booked out". Fair enough in these unexpected and unforseen times. A respectful suggestion that the web site be amended to confirm the requirement for bookings was met with complete indifference. The Lustre Bar is both convivial and quirky and, in normal times, the Friday "happy hour? crowd is diverse. The music is usually very loud and can restrain good conversation over pleasant refreshment.

Can highly recommend the Kraken vs The Bear cocktail.

Awesome bar super friendly service and cool spot above Degrave str cafes. The Barman (Chris) made us a cocktail from scratch that was a banger 👌

This place has the best music and vibes. I've been a few times now and the same girl Natasha has always been lovely. We were lucky to get a booking so soon. Great drinks, great staff 👍

A cosy cocktail bar with a great atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating bar staff. A good variety of drinks including regular specials, and unique 'served in a waffle cone' treats. A bit small for large groups but superb outlook with an open frontage. Great central location. I'll be back for sure.

Sick bar!!! Chilled with good tunes.

Due to covid they are not doing desserts but they did not stock non alcoholic beer as stated in the menu. However the bartender more than made up for the lack of stock with a delicious orange mocktail. Thank you for the excellent service and alternative drink.

Lovely bar staff and drinks but their floor manager made a huge deal about moving a table and physically dragged it back into place. Made the experience super uncomfortable so probably wouldn’t come back.

Does 5 starts get me a free drink? ?

Chris was magnificent and we will come back for his personal touch. And great cocktail’s.

Great happy hour and a nice little location with a balcony overlooking flinders lane. Friendly staff. Not so great for those that might be bothered by cigarette smoke.

A very quiet and small bar. No loud blaring music you have to yell over. Smokers can sit at the balcony, so there is a bit of that smell.

Very dark. Windows need a good wash, view would of been great if you could see it through them. Great location.

Really enjoyed my experience here, I feel the previous colour scheme worked better than the blue but the setting, staff and drinks were all top notch!

Hosted a private event here and was blown away by the quality. The room is fantastic for a gathering of around ~70 people, the staff were incredible with both the service and their recommendations, and the process of booking and using this venue was easy. Cannot recommend enough.

Quite borring place

Hidden gem in centre place. Has an amazing bar with friendliest of bartenders. They have a cute balcony overlooking Flinders lane which is gold. Good selection of whiskies and awesome cocktails. I'd prefer lustre bar over Millhouse anyday.

This is a cool little cocktail bar located in the city near Degraves st. It has a cool selection from the menu like alcoholic ice creams as well as other specialty mixes. They also have a selection if your favourite beers and whiskey for you to enjoy.

Staff are friendly, atmosphere is great more times than not.

$20 Negroni which was pretty basic. Walk up 400 mtrs to chin chin and sample their $20 cocktails instead.

Great little lounge bar supplying an extensive list of cocktails and whiskies. Good seating however only a small establishment that would be full with 50 patrons. The chandeliers are cool.

It's a great little cosy place for a drink (especially for smokers, as they have a tiny belcony where you can sit and smoke) Great selection of cocktails. Stay away from the snacks, really not worth it. If it wasn't for the food it would be 5 stars.

Nice one, beautiful environment

I was at Lustre Bar on a Sunday evening for a glass of wine after a late dinner. I was treated to live music and a great ambience in the room. The venue is what one would describe as cozy. On a Sunday evening, it was quite pleasant as I had ample space around me. However, I not sure how it would be on a Friday or Saturday night. Looking through the drinks menu the cocktail list looks quite extensive and I would have to be back to try at least one or two. My experience with the red wines I sampled was great and can recommend the red selection available.
