Me and my partner were considering doing an East Coast trip and weren't too sure what was the best way to experience it. We'd discussed many options over a few weeks but we spent a few hours here with a great member of staff called Amelia and we were set up with an itinerary, loads of ideas of places to go and a great deal on a 4 week rental of a campervan, we are currently about to sail the whitsundays and none of this would have happened without the great advice from the staff here! I usually don’t write reviews but I truly cannot recommend Emma from Happy Travels enough. After arriving in Melbourne I started trying to plan an East Coast trip myself – but struggled to put pieces of it together and needed some help/advice. I decided to speak to Emma and from the moment I met her she was so inviting, friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience a lot less overwhelming. She had extensive knowledge of the East Coast and suggested activities that felt tailored to my hobbies and interests. She then patiently sat with me, answered all my questions, gave me ideas/tips for my trip based off her own personal experience. After a few hours she had devised a plan which provided the perfect balance of activities and relaxation for me. The whole process was so smooth and easy. I ended up booking within my budget and so far it’s been an amazing trip. Having previously booked with other travel agencies and had bad experiences, I have actively tried to stay away from them and book my own trips, independently. Emma has completely changed my perception of agencies just by taking the extra time and care when booking my trip; If I need to book anything else whilst here, it’ll be through Happy Travels/Emma. Emma Kelsey sorted me out at the Nomads hostel in St Kilda. She had some good advice and took the time and effort to go through all the stops on the east coast. She gave here recommendations on what to do and where to stay. She also adapted and personalised my trip to what I said preferred. It turned out she had great recommendations as I have had a great trip on the east coast.

I had such a good experience with Emma at nomads base st kilda. She is so amazing at what she does and helped me so much. She sat with me for hours going through everything and explaining what everything is. No question was too stupid, she answered everything. I enjoyed booking through Emma as she was telling me about her own experience of traveling up the coast and giving me ideas for my trip. Ryan helped us book a skydiving experience and as a mom who had her three children about to go Sky diving together, I was very very worried. But Ryan was very helpful in describing everything and I felt much better. It was safe and fun for me to watch and take video for them during landing.

Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without Happy Travels! My husband and I knew we wanted to do a road trip up the east coast of Australia, but we pretty much did no research before arriving in Melbourne. We sat down with Ryan, and he took several hours out of his day to plan out an itinerary with us. He also explained all the trips we could take on Frasier Island, the Whitsundays, and the Great Barrier Reef, and helped us book all those with a discount. Booked a three week trip with Nick yesterday! Very very relieved and grateful all the stress of booking and planning was taken completely off my shoulders. Arrived in Melbourne with no idea of where to go, found this place beside my hostel and Dan really helped me to plan my tralvels!

Very impolite manager of the branch- unwilling to help me as I’d booked online but was having some problems (that he could have tried to help with very easily!) made it very clear that it wasn’t his problem! I had to ask multiple times to get any kind of help. Would not recommend using this branch for that reason. The other people there were very helpful however!

Thank you again for helping me to plan our family trip to Italy. It was truly a lifetime trip and we still even after 6 months discuss the beautiful memories. Went to happy travels 3 times to bokx various trips, the first, great ocean road & grampians, the second wilsons prom and thirdly to plan my further travels along the east coast. I got served three times by Max who did an amazing job, each time he made it a comfortable experience, and remembered details about my trip, he even helped me get a farmwork job in carins when I finish my travels. I would deffo reccomend going here to at least find a plan with max as he did an amazing job! Thank You!!!

Happy Travels were incredibly helpful and efficient, we felt like very small fish in a big pond on arrival in Melbourne, but they helped make us feel at home with directions and suggestions on 'must dos' in the city as well as helping us book affordable day trips and tours. Ryan went above and beyond the call of duty to get our trip to Fiji sorted, he put aside two days to help us and even made personal calls on our behalf. They also do a great night out at United Backpackers, fun atmosphere, fun people and some free shots!

Really bad service. They don't understand our necessities basically because don't pay attention. They ask a lot of useless questions about our another journey without focusing in what we looking for. This company it's very famous in Australia so we expected a different attitude. Never again.
