Lake

👍👍 Wonderful scenic lake, great walk around off roads, ideal for dogs, and the added bonus of finishing your walk at The Hope & Anchor for a meal or a drink. Poignant memories of John Merricks, and a lovely living 'memorial' to him. He would be honoured and proud no doubt. Would love to put a photo of... People often mention walk, lake,

Beautiful small lake with a path all the way around. Easily accessible on the edge of Loughborough town by a reasonable walk or bus from the centre. Good spot for casual Birdwatching, with notables including kingfishers, little egrets, and mandarin in the winter. The path also connects to a bridge over the Great Central Railway, providing a good spot for photography.

A quiet lake with adorable ducks. There is a trail around the lake with some benches that you can sit and watch the lake and the ducks. It is very serene.

Beautiful lake, great for birds spotters, walkers, runners, etc. Shame the public loos seem permanently closed though.

Brilliant tranquil place of beauty. This end of watermeade isn't as busy as some other parts of the park.

Has litter, could do with a bit more cleaning, but once you find a good place to sit. It is quite peaceful. Bring a good book and you will be here for hours

Groups of lads hanging around in the car park and some looked like they were dealing drugs. Small bags of something white were passed to people who walked up handed money over and then walked away. They did this as if it was normal. Mostly large groups of Asian men and probably around the mid 20s to 30s age group. Very intimidating for a couple walking their pups. The walk was okay, although all but three d0gs were off the lead (two of those being ours). Few had any recall and at some point a pup will be seriously injured. One of our pups isn't dog safe and has a fear of larger dogs in her face. Our experience was awful and we wont be going again until the council make changes.

There's a nice shirt walk around the water that is suitable for wheelchairs. But the toilets were closed and there is nowhere for refreshments.
