Water works Aquatics centre was not what I was expecting to be honest. I was expecting more of a tropical fish range. However its more of a pond specialist which I didn't know at the time. They have some beautiful koi in stock. Some small some big. A big pond outside with some big koi in. However I was happy to see that they sold Axolotl. The only place I have seen them is in Scotland which is a bit far to travel. Had I had a tank set up for it then I would have bought a couple. They are not cheap but its worth it. Its only a 20 min drive from where I live but for some reason the sat nav took us on the scenic Country route. Will definitely use when I eventually get a new house and build a koi pond.

Visited Water Works Aquatic Centre earlier today to buy an assortment of plants for my new wildlife pond. Was looked after really well by Seb. Really helpful and knowledgeable and very patient. Definitely go again and very happy to recommend.

Great staff! Did a special order just for me then I had car issues on the way to collect and a staff member waited 20 minutes past closing time just to help me out. Would highly recommend

Sold me a range of high quality pond plants. Took the opportunity to demonstrate how to assemble my pump and fountain. Discussed my new pond and suggested how to deal with establishing it. Competitive pricing and excellent range and choice of quality pond plants. Helped me load cobbles into the car too. Genuinely helpful and friendly service. Could have bought online for same price, but wanted to give him the custom because he explained and calculated the size of pump needed even though we said we were just digging out the new pond. Superb customer service!!!

Lovely place in a lovely estate. Beware that it is predominantly for ponds. They have a selection of tropical fish but not many.

Love this place. Staff full of helpful tips wide range of stuff. Been using this place nearly 20yrs. Brilliant keep up good work.

On visiting today the viewing tanks were massively over stocked with unsuitable tank mates. Many deceased fish being eaten by other fish and many ill fish in the tanks. Would not advise buying fish from these tanks due to possible disease.

Poor. There are not a lot of marked prices. You feel you put them out to ask the prices. The wife found the staff intimating. Overall I am sorry to say quite poor.

Went here for pond plants. Very poor selection and expensive. Staff didn't seem overly happy :-(

Good and helpful staff who are quite knowledgeable. They offer a good selection of supplies for pound building and maintenance. I found the fish particularly interesting especially the koi outside which are the size of cats.

Not the biggest selection but there's always enough to be getting on with! A bit for fish, pond plants (indoor & outdoor), pond bits & kits, all the electrical bits, ideas... Most of all, great, helpful staff. Ask a question! They'll have an answer, at least an idea!

Excellent place to visit for everything to do with fish including the equipment to keep them, very reasonably priced too. Fish are all kept well & are extremely fit & healthy, certainly a place I would recommend, especially with the helpful & friendly staff who give the customer a 1st class service.

We collected a fish for a friend a couple of weeks ago and even though we live in Nottingham we shall now be coming here for our fish. There was no sign of illness in any tank, no dead fish at all. My favourite thing was that the bettas weren't in tiny tanks instead they were in a community setting where there was no other bettas but other community fish they can go with. The assistant was quick to make sure he wasn't just handing over the fish to anyone who knew no care and very friendly.

Purchased floating pond raft and some plants. Plants are very healthy, Tony was his helpful self as usual as I wanted some flat rubber seals and he had an assorted box full, well pleased.

DISAPPOINTMENT especially after reading all the good reviews you have had. We came to buy Koi’s & asked Paul the assistant a question but he couldn’t even be bothered to look at us & assist us. We wasn’t even interested in what we had to say & while we were still talking & hoping that he would show us a few Koi’s he just walked away. How rude can u get. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the customer service from him. Sorry for much a bad review

Very friendly staff with excellent knowledge on the aquatic world. Good choice of plants koi and tropical fish foods. I usually end up there on Father's day with my sons. Be it be for plants pond fish water features. Over the years I have been to other places. But still end up going there.

Just to have a look and a walk about was ok the rest of the shops here make up the day here for a good day out and the views are good on way here and on the way out nice cafes to big house lake land lots of little shops

Such a great aquatics with a huge range. Got everything we needed today and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Went the extra mile to make my little boy smile. Will reccommend to anyone.

These guys always come through when I need bits for my pond setup. They also have a massive koi selection ranging from very small ones up to really large ones. All of the fish are well cared for and look really healthy.

Love the place. Great Garden centre,l with a good variety of plants, a good pond centre and all sorts of little country craft workshops in a beautiful rural setting. Also a great place just to go for a walk. Love going there.

Lovely experience we went in today with a problem with our tank and they were very experienced and it has sorted the problem, also a wide selection of fish and accessories and tanks. And generally a lovely customer service 🤗 very happy and better than pets at home. Excellent advice throughout! Thank you.

Nice little place hidden out the way on a country estate near a garden center. Nice selection of fish and plants and accessories for indoor aquariums. Small area so a bit packed in but was nice to visit.

Not a lot took us five minutes to walk round wasn't happy I took over an hour to travel

I will never purchase any fish or plants ever again from here . the three fish and all my other fish in my pond (10) are now dead after the new fish from here were introduced . they all came out in sores and despite treatment , as advised by staff here all my fish are now dead . I should have learned my lesson as this is now the second time this has happened. And i should have been warned by the dead fish in one of the tanks . I've had fish for years so know what I'm doing and have never had problems transporting other fish in the past so it is not down to stress etc.
