I use Pets at Home in Ashby frequently for dog supplies. Staff always friendly. Great range but can be expensive. HOWEVER beware parking attendant who will IMMEDIATELY put a ticket on your car if you leave the site even just to quickly pop into Aldi. I saw it happen the other day and realised the parking guy was sitting in his car watching people come and go. Not a good day ☹️ for the poor couple doing their shopping.. if you get a ticket like I did keep your nerve and don't pay. It's only an invoice not a fine. Do reply to their letters saying you reject their invoice and say why. In my case the didn't provide any proof that I had left the site nor was the boundary of the car park marked on their signs. After a couple of letters they withdraw the ticket. Also suggest contact local MP Andrew Bridgen to tell him about it.

Don't park at Ashby De La Zouch Wickes there is a man in a white van waiting to give you a ticket even. They give you a ticket for no reason, be a wear, they are a robbing disgusting company and are getting rich of stealing of innocent people. DONT GO TO WICKES OR PETS AT HOME at ASHBY DE LA ZOUCH, its not worth it.

Really nice store friendly staff very helpful. But watch out for the person in a car waiting to put a ticket on your car if u stray off the car park to aidi they will fine u. But I went to aldi to do a little shop because aldi car park was full but I also shopped in wickes and pet at home as well after. So I will not be paying them anything.

Great shop but watch out for the ukpc crooks looking to give you a 100 quid fine if you park and then leave the site.!!!!

Brilliant place for all your pet needs has every type of bedding you can think of to suit your cats and dogs, they have very friendly staff and answer any questions as best as they can I was looking for things for my cat told the lady what I needed and she helped me find them without even being asked so great service.

Not even worth given them a star!!! Disgusting manager and being spoken to like someone who doesn't know what we are doing!!! Asked for two betta fish to go in a tank.. 120lt 60lt and a 500lt tank.the 500lt tank has female betta fish in with a mix of other fish like plecos and a few guppies..the 120lt has 3 female betta fish and 6 neons. We were told we couldn't hahave the 2males because of the guppies..weve had fish for many years and have never had any problems

I rang up to double check that the store had in stock the cool vests in all the sizes so our dog could try these on for fit. Was told all sizes were in stock and then when I got to the store there wasn’t the size we needed and was told ‘sorry we’ve only got what you can see out on display!!’ Staff were totally uninterested and were more bothered about getting back to their own conversation at the tills then giving good customer service.

Visited on sunday and received possibly the worst customer service ever in a retail setting, so bad it would take too long to write a detailed review,but hence to say dont meet the manager/supervisor on a bad day. Absolutely shocking and rude beyond belief. Will not be returning.

I've been into 3 different Pets at Homes around Leicestershire looking for a Hamster to adopt. Not once was I greeted warmly by the staff or asked if I needed any help. Instead have been left waiting around like a lemon. Poor customer service all round.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Regardless of question, useful advice given and good recommendations given. Easy to exchange items if you got it wrong.

Went in to look at tropical fish decided to buy about £20 worth .Asked the staff I wanted some fish but was told to come back later has the staff were to involved doing other things .There was three staff altogether the woman who spoke to me was going in the back for a break .I asked another member of staff who said she would come but after five minutes I gave up and left the shop .will not be shopping there again waste of time has the staff don't want to leave the counter .

Over the past couple of weeks, we have been buying tropical fish from the ashby branch. Amazing staff. Very helpful and gave us lots of advice and tips. Wont be going anywhere else. Certainly the best pet store we have been to.

Same ol same ol... But the staff are friendly & helpful. The store is well laid out & not so over stuffed that you can't get through (unlike some). But as a company, it's over priced compared to others. I pay the extra for the convenience of it being almost on my doorstep.

Wanted to purchase some tropical fish.. 2 staff at tills. They said short staffed so cannot serve you.. but it's alright to stand there chatting to each other. So annoyed

Just want to say thank you to Jamie. Me and my partner were standing at the puppy food trying to work out which one to try next and he came over and had a really helpful conversation with us about some of the best brands (and the reasons why). We didn’t ask for help but he was more than happy to stand and chat to us about our pup and and helped us to pick a food based off of what we had said! Really pleased with the service! :)

Today went into the Ashby De La Zouch store to get my kids a hamster. They wanted to see a photo of the cage that I had at home. I showed them. I asked about guinea pigs as I was considering buying a pair at a much later date. They refused me to purchase a hamster today and said I have to wait for 24 hours as they said I was impulse buying apparently. I bought my first hamster from this store three years ago and the hamster i bought, passed beginning of this year. I left the store annoyed and with a crying toddler I wouldn’t bother wasting your money buying from them. Poor customer service, even though I am an existing customer

Not good! My fish drowned by the time I got home. Poor old billy! Not happy!

Always been dubious buying fish from these stores but we got some beautiful platys, guppies and cherry shrimp from here in the last few months. Staff has always been really helpful and friendly and the fish are happy and healthy! Don't be put off by other stores practices, Ashby store really care about their tanks being in the best condition

Young man asked if I needed any help but I had what I wanted already. But as I went towards the til another young man and woman noticed the puppy food and informed me of the puppy club and showed me how to get our new pup coco on site and showed me how too save money on food and things. How lovely was that ,so caring and excellent service.

Good selection of pet supplies. Friendly and helpful staff. A small but good reptile section. Several small animals for sale, such as hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. Tropical and cold water fish and lots of tanks and accessories. A large store with plenty of space in the aisles, clean and well stocked. Trolleys outside for the heavy goods that take a coin to release. Free parking outside but is shared with Wickes and can be difficult to get out of at peak times.
