👍 Amazing plant-based cafe and very busy despite a back alley location. The food was delicious and it was hard to believe that it was mock meat. I tried the hangover cure bagel and it was very fulfilling. Good quantity and filling with fresh ingredients. The prices are on the higher end ( for bagels)... Amazing plant-based cafe and very busy despite a back alley location. The food was delicious and it was hard to believe that it was mock meat. I tried the hangover cure bagel and it was very fulfilling. Good quantity and filling with fresh ingredients. The prices are on the higher end ( for bagels) but worth it to support vegan places.

Always love the fried chicken bagels from here, with the lox a close second! Also the coffee and Nutella stuffed cookie are delicious

A must visit for lunch or breakfast. The bagels look great and Taste even better. Just off Swann street, it’s worth the visit. The staff are super friendly and happy to offer up suggestions which I’m glad I listened. The bagels are soooo good especially the Chicken 142. There is seating inside and out and it’s easy to see why Sable is so popular with locals. I will definitely be back.

Amazing cafe in a back laneway in Cremorne. The range of bagels is great, and they are all plant based, but you wouldn't know it was plant based meat you were eating. I got the Hangover Cure bagel and it was delicious! The prices were great value, and the staff were all super friendly. There were a great looking range of sweets we didn't get to try, so will definitely have to go back and try them.

🌱 100% vegan bagelry 🏠: @sable.richmond @sable.thornbury 📍: Cremorne 📝: 100% vegan bagel place in Cremorne and Thornbury. Easy choice for anyone who’s vegan or vegetarian. They’ve got vegan sweet bakeries as well, gotta get their box of cookies from the shelf! ❤️: I built my own bagel with my protein choice of vegan chicken breast—couldn’t even tell the difference from normal chicken breast! Cookies were good, there’s a selection of Loaded Notella, White Choc Macadamia, Loaded Biscoff and Quadruple Choc.

What a delightful place for lunch. Really amazing staff who serve you with a smile and more than happy to answer any questions you have. Unfortunately I ate my bagel way too fast so didn’t take a snap of the whole thing - safe to say it was delicious. The fried “chicken” bagel was delicious and that’s from someone who eats a lot of meat and non plant based food. The cookies - biscoff cookie was yum too. Highly recommend stopping in for some vegan treats!

An amazing plant based restaurant that really nails what they focus on - bagels and cookies. The plant protein that they use in the bagels is impressive and really looks like real meat! The cookies are sooooo delicious, especially after heating them up so they become nice and gooey! My personal favourite was the biscoff one (cause how can you go wrong with biscoff?) but all the others we tried also have my tick of approval ✅

Sable offers a wide variety of vegan bagels and very friendly service too. It’s dog friendly and you can sit outside on a pleasant day. The service was fairly quick and the food was delicious. If you are driving to Sable, you can park your car at Coles, which is a minute’s walk away.

Holy smokes. One of the best bagels I've had. We got the hangover cure add egg and hashbrown in an everything bagel. Bagel is fresh and delicious. Flavor combo is spot on. Shakes and monster shakes are crazy good (get a monster shake which comes with half a cookie so you won't have to choose between getting a shake or cookie). Ambience is groovey. Customer service is efficient, helpful, super friendly and you can't help but to love them.

What a good find, tucked away in a laneway in Richmond near the East Richmond station and the Coles (parking entry). Staff was super friendly (even offered to take a pic). We ordered 1800 avo and the Hangover cure and got some cookies. Bagels comes with a side of crisps and are super filling. we were pleasantly surprised to realise the food is 100% vegan. Would come back to try the malt shakes. There’s an on-site toilet.

What a cute place! The bagels are perhaps the best I have ever tasted, the fillings are divine. With an all vegan menu, there is nothing off limits here. Also a large range of non-coffee items, including a Biscoff latte 😁 Also doubles as a trainspotting venue for gunzels!

Awesome space, super friendly staff, and exceptional vegan eats. One piece of constructive feedback would be that they don't tend to give you a napkin. Saucy bagels and no napkins is an awkward combo.

This little bagel spot is so lovely! Right on the train line, it's the perfect place to order some delicious vegan food and watch the trains go by. The service is also amazing and staff were really friendly. We ordered the Franco Cozzo, Fried Chicken, Rudy's Smokehouse. With Chocolate Malt Shake & Ginger Beer. Everything was delicious, as well as VERY FILLING and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Wowow, incredible food (💯🌱♥), coffee en pointe, and service lovely and helpful. A bit out of the way, but this is going to be a destination worthy of going out of the way for, for me and clearly many others!!

Genuinely the best dining experience and food I've had in months. The bagel, loaded fries and cookies were out of this world! Staff were so fun, friendly and helpful.

The Hot Biscoff drink was amazing, never had drink-envy before but sure did when I tasted it versus my long black. However the fact that it was $6 and $0.50 more for Oat milk which was not mentioned was a little deceptive and rather expensive. The Bagels were a huge portion and filling but weren’t flavourful. Not for me.

OBSESSED!!! Love how they are all vegan and have sooo many options to choose from with new weekly items each week! Never run out of choices! The Biscoff chai was out of this world and so were the bagels! Couldn’t even tell it was vegan! Will 1000% be back soon to try more of the menu options!

Very friendly stuff and such a nice vibe indoors. We will leave commentary regarding food to customers on a plant based diet as we do not have much expertise in that, however, we’ve tried a plain bagel and it was VERY tasty. Coffee was nice, wish it could be a touch stronger. Would recommend to anyone in the area in search for delicious plant based bagels!

Was really impressed with the bagel! The chai Latte was best I've had! And the guy who served me was great, super friendly and made me feel comfortable. Been recommending this place to my friends and family!

One of the best eats in Melbourne whether you’re vegan or not. Menu is just incredible and staff are nothing short of excellent. Special mention to the biscoff chai latte which is absolutely unreal, unlike anything I have tried. Bagels are super yummy and filling. I couldn’t recommend this place any more!

Yesterday we shared a magical 40th. Anniversary celebration experience at Sable restaurant in Thornbury. It exceeded all our expectations for a lunch dining experience for 30 guests from a baby, a 5 year old, teenagers, and upward. Sable's function space, as you can see by the photos, in an intimate space where you also have the room to move around and mingle with your guests. The event managers Toyah and Alex worked with us until we had exactly what we envisaged for our special day, and it could not have been executed more perfectly. We were able to have our favourite songs playing all afternoon, while we ate a plethora of beautiful plant based plates of food, of which I think the highlight was, sable's unique lasagne croquettes with basil pesto - this dish delighted everyone of our guests, as did the the triple chocolate cookie skillet. The staff were amazing with Alex and Olivia tending to our every need throughout the afternoon, nothing was too much trouble. The majority of our guests were not plant based and they could not believe how exciting the plates of plant based food could be. Thank you to Alex, Toyah and Sable staff for being an instrumental part of the success of our special day.

Awesome bagel. The fried chicken was perfect. Delicious loaded fries as well. But be prepared, it's very copious. Team was super welcoming

Gluten free & vegan options. The GF bagel is pretty good, could have benefitted from a bit more toasting. (Note: Toasters are shared). Unique concept and flavour combinations. The only thing better than the delightful service - the GF COOKIES! Man I’ll be thinking about that choccy chip cookie for many moons.

Best vegan/plant-based restaurant in Melbourne. Super friendly staff, tasty drinks, and incredibly yummy food! The bagels and cookies were SO good 🤩

Sable bagels, milkshakes, and cookies are incredibly delicious, and for anyone vegan or otherwise I would highly recommend getting all of the above. I was waiting for the day restrictions would ease a little bit so I could make it out to Sable. I would give them five stars, but for one very loud employee with long dark hair, who even prior to lockdown would walk around with their mask under their chin. I went to visit for lockdown takeaway, and once again they were wearing their mask around their chin, and seemed confused when I asked they put it on properly. All other employees have wonderful and positive attitudes, and I look forward to being able to visit again.

Such lovely service, helpful, friendly and warm customer service team and the bagels are a rare treat, a well priced, filling plant-based feed. Most grateful, love this place! (Vanessa)

Uh, the food was great. But I ordered the fried chicken and it’s not chicken. It’s very misleading. Don’t call it chicken if it’s not chicken. The food was still excellent but that’s not the point.

The bagels are genuinely very good, service is quick and efficient and the staff were friendly. I asked twice for a latte machiato which they made happily, but both times the soy milk was curdled. It's a shame that their coffee comes as in the photo.

Good cafe located along railway. Ordered long black for takeaway, it was served immediately with a cute cup.
