Our guide was James and he was incredible out on the rapids. Rosie was super friendly and great with instructing first-timers. The rapids were incredible and super exhilarating. Be prepared to get soaking wet and have loads of fun! This is recommended to absolutely everyone who loves adventure, I cannot express how amazing the experience and the people were.

A really enjoyable experience. James is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. He made us feel at home and really looked after us on the trip. There were some thrilling rapids on the river, and also some lovely stretches of peaceful water with sand martins and herons. A great trip and highly recommended!

What a fantastic experience! James is absolutely brilliant guide, very funny and knows his stuff. We really had a lovely morning with him and Dave on the river. Really appreciated the coffee break too!! Thank you! Scenery is absolutely beautiful, really has to be experienced. Rapids were thrilling especially near the end and we totally appreciate the water was low due to being summer but honestly this experience includes more than rapids. It's a true adventure away from other busy spots in the Lakes, it was so peaceful and we all came away wanting to do more adventuring!

Lakes White Water Rafting with these guys has been the absolute highlight of our holiday so far! Water levels on the rivers meant our that trip was moved to the beautiful River Eden for a circa 10 mile thrilling adventure between Lazonby and Armathwaite and we were not left disappointed! James, our raft guide gave a thorough pre-ride briefing and what followed in the next 4 hours can only be described as utterly awesome - absolutely stunning scenery only accessible to river craft with wow moments around every corner, thrilling rapids with some beautiful serene moments in between, the opportunity to wild swim in deep water pools, hilarious banter between the two rafts and their guides and a total feeling of trust/knowledge from our leaders which meant we were able to totally relax with the job in hand knowing we were being completely looked after. Tea and biscuits mid-trip and, for those that wanted (with no pressure at all….) the opportunity for some very exciting and exhilarating dunking, soaking and squealing moments in a grade 4 rapid towards the end - worth every single penny (and more!) that we spent for the experience. We loved our trip so much, we have re-booked for November for some real hard-core water!! We cannot recommend this experience with Lakes White Water Rafting enough - book yourselves in, you will not be disappointed! Finally, a massive well done and thank you to James, Dave and Alex for making this a day we will talk about for a long time to come - you were all amazing! We went White Water Rafting in the North Lakes and it was SO MUCH FUN! The water level wasn’t the highest because the weather was good that weekend but even so there were enough rapids for it to be exciting and Marley the instructor was great! He made it fun for everybody and is clearly very good at his job! Highly recommend this experience!

Great experience on the rapids, never done anything like it before but felt confident in the instructor James and was reassured that he would look after us well. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone!!!

Highly recommend this white water rafting experience with James our instructor and the team (family of 4 with two boys aged 8 and 11 and we did the family taster session). Our instructors were very friendly and helpful, took care over the safety briefing and ensured my 8 year old boy was comfortable at every step of the way - including checking that with us as parents. James went out of his way to ensure that everyone was enjoying themselves and always gave clear instructions for navigating the raft. We had a good amount of water/rainfall, so the rapids themselves were thrilling! Would definitely be doing the full experience next time!

Great experience, both Chris and James were great guides for the day - constantly cracking jokes, providing lots of expertise and making it a really fun experience. The rafting was also great fun - even with the lower river levels, it was still an exciting activity with the 'surfing' in particular a real highlight. Would recommend and will definitely return at some point.

What a fabulous fun day out! A really enjoyable first whitewater rafting experience in the Lakes - strongly recommend it! The guys were excellent: entertaining and professional and the river couldn't have been a better mix of gorgeous scenery and different grades of whitewater.

Would thoroughly recommend this lake district adventure! I went as part of a small group last week and we had an absolute blast. James was our raft guide and he had some great stories and (dare I say) jokes! Great day, extremely well organised and definitely going back to do the North Lakes trip!

We would thoroughly recommend Lake District white water rafting. We did the south lakes route. The team, Chris, Chris and James were very knowledgeable and put you at ease immediately. They made the day really enjoyable with their enthusiasm and positive natures. Definitely be back to try out the north lakes route. The scenery is amazing and if you’re just a spectator there are cafes alongside the river where you can grab a coffee and watch them trundle down the river. Everything was provided equipment wise. Changing facilities on site. All you needed was your swim gear and an old pair of trainers. Excellent day out.

We had an absolutely fantastic times out on the river with James and Chris. It was peaceful at times, dramatic at others. Mostly it was just hugely enjoyable with two really personable guides that we felt very safe with. The scenery is incredible with almost completely unspoilt landscapes to enjoy. Highly recommended.

Booked the morning slot with James who was great. He was very professional and looked after us making sure we were safe at all times. The river was quite high after some serious rains which made the rapid sections even better imo! What an excellent experience it was, we had such a great time. I would highly recommend it if you really want to get the adrenalin going!

Absolutely brilliant experience! We felt so safe in the hands of our lovely guide Chris. He was fantastic with the kids and so knowledgable about the route and passionate about rafting, couldn’t have asked for anything else. Such a thrilling adventure again, this was our second trip out with lake District white water rafting and it was truly amazing. Words do not do justice to the picturesque landscape you see which is only one of the highlights to the trip. This time we took a detour and tested out bravery with a jump into a hidden gem. What a brilliant afternoon! We were greeted by James and his co worker Chris and felt a sense of ease straight away. We had a great bunch of fellow rafters which made it even more fun. I thought the ride down the river was great value for money and the scenery was lovely on this unspoiled part of the river Eden. Starting of with a few small rapids until building up to a bigger one at the end.. we stopped on the river for tea and biscuits and throughout the whole ride got to know our fellow rafters with jokes and banter. Don't get me wrong, I ached at the end and slept like a log at night.....It was all worth it. Don't hesitate to book this adventure with passionate people running it.

Well what can I say! An absolute awesome day and one not to forget. Do not hesitate in booking this. James and Darren were the perfect hosts and guides. Felt totally safe and they made it the best day ever. From the amazing scenery on the river Eden, to the wild life including peregrines and even a Pterodactyl!! We “Jumped” into the halfway point with a lovely surprise of hot drinks and James even got his ginger nuts out! Will definitely be booking again for the south lakes very soon. Thanks for a fab experience!

We had a great day rafting as a family on Sunday. I would say rafting in July, when there has been hardly any rainfall for weeks, was not the easiest thing to do as the river ran a lot slower and there were a lot more rocks to get stuck on, which involved a lot more effort from us and especially from poor Darron & Chris. This obviously was out of the companies control but it didn’t dampen our spirits. Overall, a great fun day, with lots of laughs. Definitely a must for anyone visiting the lakes 😉 A special thank you to Darron and Chris (instructors) - great banter between the different rafts and both of you were awesome! Glad I was removed from the boring raft and onto Darren’s raft Haha. Darron our instructor for the day was/is such a nice guy. He made sure we had the best day possible. Such a laugh and we had some great games in the water. LEGEND. To Chris the driver for getting us back safely and efficiently. Dave back at base for all the jokes, introduction and equipment handout. Rosie for all the admin and booking amendments……and…..James the owner 🙂 for paying for a drink after the session. Hopefully he knows about it! We STRONGLY recommend this company to anyone. Cheers guys! Keep up the great work! Our group LOVED IT!

wow!!! what can I say? such an amazing experience. I went with my 2 kids, sister and brother in law he was super nervous and James put him at such ease. A great laugh with some really bad knock knock jokes and some awesome banter. Very professional and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best trip of our holiday

James is a fantastic guide. We all had a brilliant time. Two separate groups were in one raft but we soon felt like one group having a whale of a time. Got suitably soaked. Lots of laughter. Excellent all round. Thank you! And we want on 6th march... Surprisingly not too chilly even jumping into the water. Awesome. Would recommend anybody to try it
