The food was very delicious, all the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Although we haven't booked in advance and we were 8 of us, the girls have accommodated us shortly. The dog was also welcomed. Lovely gardens and kids outdoor play area. Definitely recommend them, as the food came relative quickly, taking into consideration the fact that it was Sunday afternoon and they were extremely busy. There are plenty of car park spaces at the rear. Disabled parking/ toilet facilities.

Highly recommend this establishment We came to this establishment as we were passing through the area. Great choice of food exceptional menu and prices. Great choice of wines spirits and beers. The establishment is dog friendly and provides dog treats dog paw washing facilities, great local walking places for humans and dogs. They do doggy tea afternoons and doggy breakfast days. The staff member Steph was exceptionally helpful friendly and informative. The management should be proud of her for reflecting the professional standards you will get here. Clean friendly warm and welcoming. I live 30 miles away but will πŸ’― be visiting again. And big thanks to the chef for the great food...

Go steady with the beans! We received the 30% off vouchers in the post so we decided to go for fish, chips and beans on the bike 🏍 Our order arrived and I laughed! The fish, great size, tasty. The chips, tasty but very small and had burnt fryer bits on them. And the beans, oh my god the beans 🀣 I honestly thought they were having a laugh as there was about a tablespoons worth on the plate. I asked the waitress politely if that's really all we got and she was kind enough to offer me some more which I graciously accepted. And again I couldn't contain the laughter. The 'extra' beans that came was borderline offensive. I think the dish was priced at £15.95 from memory. Now I know that I'm sat in a nice place eating it but I've never been served a smaller portion. When the truck stop down the road charges £10.50 and it would serve a family of 3, I don't understand how a place like this can get away with it. But the plot thickens, as you can see in my photos, they did actually serve me one bean too many! #bakedbeangate

Fantastic food and service. Only a couple of minutes off of the motorway. Called in whilst on a works trip but look forward to returning with the family one day when on our travels.

Really good location, good distance from the road to sit outside, visited on a Wednesday at 3pm, not many people in, I ordered the ribeye steak which was excellent, service was good with the meal coming soon after ordering...well worth a visit for a meal through out the day or just a drink outside...

Food and service were good as usual but they did not provide an armed chair that one of our party required and had been requested at time of booking so we just nicked one from another table. Good relaxed atmosphere. Altogether a reasonable experience. I have previously given them 5 stars but this time not so. Are restaurants beginning to suffer the same staff shortages as Airlines and Cruise Companies and therefore the customer service will suffer?

From the moment we entered the Ferrers Arms, we were welcomed with a big smile and a warm hello from one of the staff. After we ordered our drinks and found a seat, we did not have to move again due to the outstanding customer service we received. We were made that welcome and felt so comfortable during our visit that we did not want to leave ;-) Thank you so much, we will be back.....

The food took ages to come out. The pudding was about 25 mins before it was served (after the main meal plates were collected). And paying was a joke. There were only 2 staff waiting on and serving behind the bar, when there were 2 very large parties booked in. I think the management needs to take all the credit for the utter shambles. By the way, the kitchen did a good job, as when we eventually got our food, it was very nice.

Four of us booked a table for 7.30. we were warmly greeted on arrival and our wish to sit near the window was immediately granted and we were shown to our table. Food and drinks were of the usual high standard we have come to expect, we had the sharing platte to start which was plenty for the four of us, then a variety of mains , all agreed to be really tasty. Staff were engaging, polite and warm. They were heard dealing with a particularly challenging order from a nearby table and showed immense patience and willingness to accommodate some pretty odd requests!! Overall a lovely evening!!!

Lovely staff, really patient with my elderly mother in law. Food was of excellent quality, I had a steak and ale pie with mash and veggies. The only small gripe is, it wasn't very warm in the pub itself. But likely a sign of the times. We'll be back sometime, thank you πŸ™‚

There is lots to choose from on the food & drinks menus. The staff are smartly dressed, welcoming and friendly. The pub has plenty of parking and is nicely decorated & clean. There's a lovely Dog Friendly Snug as well. Brilliant venue.

We had a lovely experience with waiting service which is my preference. We were celebrating a birthday but it was subdued due to a death in the family. The meal out allowed us time to come together as a family. The team were brilliant and nothing was too much. The food was lovely as well, and you could tell it was freshly prepared. We had a lovely experience.

Myself and half our party arrived early and we were happily welcomed and accommodated for drinks at a comfortable table. Once the rest of our group arrived we were seated to dine, and made to feel very welcome. Staff were attentive, patient and helpful. Food did take a while to arrive, but we weren't in a rush and we enjoyed the atmosphere and calm.

Very good. Requested a different table and immediately sorted out by very helpful lady. Friendly staff were always present for any requirements we had without being intrusive. Food was well enjoyed by the whole group of us. Good value for money. What more could you want from a visit for some pub food. Excellent, well done.

Really nice pub, some nice outdoor seating. Quick service and helpful staff. Only stopped for a drink and some chips while cycling but was a nice place to visit. Definitely go again.

Easy to find and easy to park, we enjoyed the music before entering the pub. The decor was bright and rustic, and there was plenty of space inside. Service was good, though not a great selection of beers on offer. Food came out quickly and was to a very good standard. Staff were polite and friendly.

Had a lovely evening here. Spent a good few hours here, had 3 courses and cocktails and all were delicious. we never felt rushed and the staff were very friendly. They had board games there that would keep children and big kids busy. The pub is surprisingly large and is deceiving from the outside. There is a kids play area for good weather days with the family. I would highly recommend and will return

We attended for a birthday meal of 21 of us. The staff were really helpful throughout the booking and pre ordering of food. A few decided on the day they wanted starters or changed their main option and this was never a problem for staff. The food all came out at the same time, hot and of a high quality and tasted delicious. Thank you for making our meal a pleasant experience.

We arrived early but our table for 15 was quickly laid for us. The food was very good and the staff were all friendly and polite. We did find the drinks rather expensive

Overall, not bad. We had Sunday roast. Potatoes were a little undercooked, carrots and parsnip amazing, peas and sugar snap peas (not my personal favourite). We were seated in the conservatory which was a little cold and decoration was a little bland.

We came for my nieces birthday meal and were greeted straight away by friendly faces, thank you Fay, Beth and Steph. The staff were all really welcoming and told us about the discounts available that day. The food itself was delicious, there were six of us and we all really enjoyed our meal. I would recommend and will be back

After visiting for a family meal on Wednesday after attending my sons grandads funeral. I throughly enjoyed it I decided to book a table for tonight with my partner. Well from the moment we walked through the door to when we left we had an amazing time. Our server Leo couldn't do enough for us. He was so polite and helpful as I had forgotten my glasses, he went through the menu with me taking his time. The food was above and beyond. I had the rib eye steak, being a connoisseur of steak I can honestly say it's the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. It was Cooked to perfection. The desserts were so tasty. When it came to the bill I was shocked that for the standard of the food and service it was a lot lower than I expected. I have eaten in many restaurants all over the country but this is a real hidden gem of a place. I will be a regular visitor from now on and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Lovely food and atmosphere. We attended on a Saturday, for my Dad's retirement meal, when a singer was on and it made our celebration better. Fay was out server and couldn't do enough for us

Plenty of space. Decent pub food. Pleasant service. Has the 'light bites' calamari and chips for lunch. Decent size serving. Squid tender, not overcooked/rubbery. Nice.

Lovely country pub that allows dogs throughout. I loved the small touches, blankets for dogs to lie on, free biscuits and water bowls. It was lovely to see dog items on the menu, which was a nice touch. Personally the only thing that knocked a star off was for the Sunday dinner, it was tasty but quite small portions. 2 tiny carrots, 3 roast potatoes, 2 roast parsnips, 2 slices of meat, 1 tiny stuffing ball, small spoonful each of red cabbage and mixed peas and green beans and a generous Yorkshire pudding. Gravy was minimal and no extra was offered, neither were any condiments and for the price, around Β£15, it was disappointing. Would I return? Yes, but I would have a pub meal rather than a Sunday dinner.

Have never visited the pub before but driven past it. We had some time spare so thought we’d pop in for a drink and have a look. The place look good, had a nice atmosphere, the staff were friendly and the food (on the table next to us) looked nice. We will definitely be going back.

The staff were wonderful … friendly and helpful. We liked the dog friendly aspect and the idea of pup food. The service was great and good to have veggie options etc. However the food was really only average which is typical of most places these days especially in chain pubs. Tasty enough to provide calories when you’re hungry and in a rush but not at the standard you’d find in Europe in similar venues. I was also disappointed with the range of beers. Only one hand pump working offering the modern trend of IPA which generally isn’t and IPA in the traditional sense and panders to the USA interpretation of beer which is similar to the way they treat the language … almost the same but somehow they get it wrong! So it was larger or fancy floral liquid masquerading as beer. I had cider in the end. It’s time a company who have a strong tradition of brewing ale stuck to what they do best.

Found this little gem on a business trip , coming up the A42 . Feeling hungry and I hate motorway services, I pulled off hoping to find a decent pub. Big, well spaced pub with beer garden and decent car park. Clearly well cared for. Staff very friendly and noted the allergy well when we ordered. Food is good value and cooked nicely. Beer was ok. Close to the A42. So much better than the services. Would be happy to return. Thanks providing a well needed travel break.
