😠 Food was great female staff in particular all exceptionally rude. Plus waiting 45 mins for drinks, 1 hours for food. I then had to ask 3 times for some ketchup even though I asked for it when ordering. When it was finally bought it was slammed down in a mood without saying anything. It wasn’t as if... Awful, first visit for 3 adults, shown to a table then just as we settled ready to order no excuse me or anything polite as I would expect and asked to move to another table to accommodate a party of 5. We moved not really wanting to, by time we had finished only 2 adults and child at original table. Felt like we were aliens trespassing on others ground, stares and whispers from staff and customers especially the mother and daughter who were sitting in our original place. Very unsettling felt rushed as if we shouldn't be there not welcoming at all. Heard so many good reviews about Dace but I for one will not go back, staff not apologetic or bothered in any way and rude when I told them I would not go there again and that if was my first visit. Case of if your face fits I think.

Been to Dace Tea Rooms today - had a stunning bacon and sausage butty - just the job after a long walk along Crosby Beach. Cool setting and atmosphere in a nice part of town. Thank you.

I then had to ask 3 times for some ketchup even though I asked for it when ordering. When it was finally bought it was slammed down in a mood without saying anything. It wasn’t as if we were rude or anything, I tried to be extra polite to try lighten the mood as it was a father day breakfast. Took all my change and didn’t give a tip which is unusual for me, I normally tip very well. Food was great though.

The cheese and mushroom on toast was nice. However the service wasn't the best. After I had paid my food I had let the server know that the chips were quite greasy and sickly, I told them that it was feedback for the future, I'm okay though. I was not being rude, it's just working in this industry I understood the importance of feedback. However I got an eye roll and was told that the chips were cooked in oil and she had walked away. This felt sarcastic and I felt dismissed.

Just visited - waited over 45 minutes for food and watched two tables after us be served first. We asked twice where our food was and the manager came over and basically told us off and spoke to us like naughty children' - just rude !! After food arrived she then came over and we thought she was coming to apologise - oh no - she then proceeded to tell us if we want our food quicker we should have ordered with coffees when we arrived - but at that point we didn't have menus as we had just sat down. Her attitude is an absolute disgrace and it took every breath in me not to tell her how rude, ignorant she was. No idea about what good customer service looks like. Surprised the owner tolerates this behaviour or maybe she is the owner ) It’s a shame as other staff were kind and pleasant.

I would like to do a shout out to Dace Tearooms. Yesterday we were let down by a catering company last minute for my Dads wake. Called up Dace knowing it be a long shot to get a order so last minute but Chris was so helpful and got thr order done for us. The platters where lovely and everyone mentioned how nice the food was. What was already a hard day without the extra stress, Dace really came to our rescue! Highly recommend anyone to go there for food or use them for an event!

Popped in here after a walk on Crosby Beach. We had the scones and lemon drizzle cake with coffee. The cake and scone were amazing and all the staff were super friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic lunch today. Really tasty, high quality food at a very affordable price. Chips that taste like chips should with the ham, egg and chips. Good quality tasty cheese with the baked potato, cheese and beans and beautifully fresh bread in the prawn sandwiches. The tea was also gorgeous - strong and tasty. The cafe was very clean and the service excellent Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back next time we visit Crosby

On entering noticed the floor was really sticky! Looking around it was generally dusty and in need of a good thorough clean. Chair was sticking to floor! Waitress wasn't particularly welcoming to be honest. Food when brought over was hot and rather delicious. The Bacon, brie and cranberry panini was large, full of flavour and came with a bit of salad. Prices for food were very reasonable. However we'd clearly sat at the table too long after we'd eaten (even though it wasnt busy) as waitress just took our plates without a word of "have you finished?" or "shall I clear these away?" Few minutes later our pots of tea were taken - again didn't ask - just took them!

Just been in this cafe never felt so unwelcomed in a cafe so much in my life felt like we walked in and got snarled at we sat down to about 5-6 staff just staring at us. My partner had to go up for menus to which he just got a look of disgust like how dare you??. I wanted to leave but he said no. Then a lady came over who seemed pleasant took our order. Food came out pretty quick partner had full breakfast but egg was undercooked (runny white) As we were eating felt uncomfortable to have 4-5 staff standing around the counter chatting amongst themselves looking over. So intimidating and unwelcoming and couldn’t understand why so many staff were on with so few customers???? Literally ate as quick as possible paid and left.

Came here with my son because he loves that it is really relaxed and has couches. He especially loves that dogs are allowed to visit (my son is autistic). The cafe make his tuna sandwiches exactly how he likes them. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are very attentive.

Looked at us like we had six heads when we walked in just because we had work clothes on , shouted at us like we was a pair of school boys, an refused to let us sit anywhere else other than we’re she said by shouting over the counter NO!NO! Until we got it right ,If you have to go in there go in there just to see ms Trunchball on the front desk (dark haired one) the young lad was brilliant and an excellent server his head must be battered like we was after hearing £19 for 2 sausage buttys and two teas

Only go in to meet friends. Bread too thick for me. Waitress looks as though she won the lottery, but lost the ticket.

Avoid! Toilet is next to the kitchen. Toilet is filthy, clear view into kitchen would also make you avoid it massively. Grubby. The owner is surly and she is rude! Cramped tables, noisy just avoid! Ten more eating places within walking distance far superior

Lovely food, great menu. Cater for veggies and gluten free. Fantastic coffee. Homemade cakes which are amazing, the brownies are gluten free. Also had a few alcohol beverages. Friendly helpful staff.

Dace recently supplied the catering for my mother's birthday celebrations. Chris was excellent throughout, from helping us choose our menu to delivering a generous high quality buffet on time. The food was enjoyed by all, with many compliments to the caterer. We'll done Dace.

Chris was very kind to accommodate us quite late on to host a surprise party. Unfortunately we didn't have lots of people due to covid but Chris and Hannah were really attentive and the food was delicious as it always is at Dace. Lots of people commented it was rhe best lasagne they've ever had and I would agree (on the vegetarian one--- amazing!) I would absolutely recommend having a party here and thank you to Chris for having us. Sorry if we got a bit noisy- I quickly tried to get everyone back to our house as it seemed to get a bit too loud!

Not a very clean place, floor was filthy which was off-putting. Food wasn't very nice, although coffee was lovely. Staff pleasant & helpful. Would only visit again if the place had a revamp, it's very old & tired looking inside

Worst breakfast I've ever had, ordered a sandwich for my six year old that was made on extra thick bread just totally uneatable. Overpriced for budget food won't be visiting again
