A fully stocked up outlet of B&Q But customer care is below average due to their lack of knowledge on products and people’s skill.

Its massive. Clean and bustling with people. Can get bonus card at register sorted in a minute. Has deals on all the time. Prices are ££ but good quality. Has pretty much anything/everything you need.

Ye, good prices, have everything you probably need! A little disappointed not being able to check out via trade point as I was parked at that end of the store, so had to struggle with a trolley full of paving flags through the general check out. No good for the back!😁

I drove out the way to the store that had what I needed as my local store didn't stock the item I wanted so I went to aintree and bought 2x 5 tier plastic shelves and went home to put together. The first one was fine and the second was missing legs. Drove all the way back explained they were missing and she just said swap the one with missing parts for a whole knew one. So went home again and put the new one up and it was missing 1 small leg/shelf connector that holds the shelf up. We did open them up in the car after getting the new one but mainly looked for the legs and scan of the other parts but theirs 50 parts so didn't examine every piece, surely I wasn't that unlucky. It's really not worth me doing another 10 mile round trip but this really isn't acceptable especially when I offered to buy the old one with missing parts for spares and the women on the till just said you can but its £25. Which isn't really worth it for parts. Feel let down and wasted petrol and 3 hours of my day off running round for something that should only take an hour. I understand this can happen but twice is just a joke and to offer no discount for the messing round was a bit tight. Ryan

Very quick getting what we wanted but to be fair it was Christmas week so maybe DIY us not on everyone's "to do list"

This is not a review of the store but of an assistant called Jason. Every time I go there he is always helpful and always go the extra mile to help me. Bright light on a dim store

I'm no Nick Knowles but after going to this store and speaking to the knowledgeable and friendly staff I've got no fears about finally changing that pesky light bulb after 2 years. I no longer need to poo in the dark... Thanks B&Q Aintree!

A good DIY store and well stocked. Great for paint and gardening supplies. Not always cheapest but you can usually get what you need. Easy parking

The old customer service desk at the entrance has no gone personally I think this is a bad idea, you know have to walk through the busy store and queue up somewhere that will probably be the wrong place, nothing is clear about where to go for a refund any more, I went to the till that had a refund sign above it but obviously this was wrong so got sent to another queue at a counter by the tills, come on B&Q you can do better, a plus point was after waiting for 5 mins I found 5 staff all chatting at a till and when I asked one to come help with my refund they did, the old service desk was always manned, sort it out B&Q your quietly annoying your customers whoo will go over the road to gaskets next time

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the lack of capacity of the person who assisted me at the Liverpool store on 18/08/22, the person was clearly lost with the system and with that several parts of our kitchen came with wrong colours, missing parts, that's because we waited two months for our order to arrive and we only found out about the wrong colours and missing parts when the fitter was already here at our house putting our kitchen together. Well, we went to the store and the person who assisted us fixed the order. however, the delivery of two doors of our cabinet that should have been delivered on the 16th of November was still missing. I contacted customer support and now they are telling me that the product was cancelled due to be “out of stock”. We paid one more day to the fitter to finish our kitchen and I still don't have the cabinet doors and I don't have a deadline for delivery. I would like to express my disappointment with the services provided by a store that claims to be so big and at the same time so messed up and with the least consideration for customers. I paid an extra £150 a day to the fitter for a mistake that wasn't mine and now apparently I have to pay a few more hours for this kitchen to finally be finished?

Great shop today informed by store member of 20% off items online... Saved 60 odd pound ordering and then picking up at store. Order ready in less than an hour.

we went to b&q over the weekend to get some paint colour matched to the wallpaper we had chosen. we were helped by colin, he was really friendly and helpful, he helped us get everything sorted properly and gave us tips on how to make sure all our decorating went smoothly :)

This shop is good for lots of things but you will be lucky if you can find a member of staff if you need help!

Love this place but when I was at the checkout the lady called Anne told me there wasn't any carrier bags, I thought this a little peculiar and she gave me a black bin bag instead (and charged me £0.45) as I don't drive it was very awkward carrying my shopping in a bin liner to the train station, I won't be going back there any time soon 😤

Shop wasn't busy, couldn't find a member of staff to talk to. Eventually found what we wanted, only one till open so was a wait to be served.

I just came out of there feeling really stupid. I bought a chest of drawers that said £45 on the shelf and needed 2 boxes to create, but each box was £45 at the till so £90 in total. There was a discount for spending over £75 so I paid £76 in all, but they made me feel so daft for questioning it. A young lad named Billy was lovely and helpful but unfortunately the two women were frosty and made me feel like an idiot. I'll not be back!

It's a large B&Q with lots of stock . . . Sadly, not loads of staff if you're needing help. And don't dare ask the guy in the trade area for anything - he's clearly missed the customer training sessions for a long time . .

Went in and purchased a few bits, one of them being a 40mm plastic trunk for cabling. It was approx 3m long. Asked if they would cut it in half so it would fit in the car and was told no and to buy a saw to do it myself outside. Absolutely shocking service from what should be a very simple bit of customer service. I'll most likely use Wickes from now on!

A large b and q with pretty much everything you would need in it

  • 4/5 sandra c. 2 years ago on Google
cannot give them a five star rating as they do have some stinkers for staff in there, there are a couple of them that if you ask them a question they look at you as if you have two heads, but you cannot fault them on their stock, and there is a member of staff in timbers that is a riot

Went to get a refund for kitchen cupboard spacers that go in-between the units that were never required and seemed to be added in simply to increase the price and if used would have looked stupid and we would have run out of space, £200 worth that should never have been part of my order. There was no mention of these pointless items made by the planner, bit of a con in my eyes.

Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Knew exactly where to point me when I needed a specific type of paint.

I thought the prices in their Garden Centre were OTT. I looked at bird feeders and food and thought the birds would go hungry before I paid what they were asking. I needed bamboo cane which was I purchased. Called into a supermarket that had a garden centre, everything I wanted for the birds was at least half the price with no quality issues.

Absolutely joke with shop management. I couldn’t buy plasterboard because they were at the top shelf and no one wanted to take it down ! I was recommended to come back in the morning or go to St Helens what a joke ! Going to Wickes instead !

Great when your doing anything indoors or outside your home but just wish they would sign the place better as you can take forever looking for something

Not the best customer service in this b and q. Apparently they only have one staff who works part time who can advise on which part you need. The others just shrug their shoulders. Item I needed urgently was out of stock, actually the whole shelving unit was. Asked someone on the silly little desk they have dumped opposite the tills about ordering online and whether I can get next day delivery. All I got was you'll have to look online. God help any elderly etc who don't have access to the Internet etc. Managed to order from amazon for next day delivery

We bought a kitchen after taking our measurements in. We had to change base units because they would have looked ridiculous when installed. We were sold space fillers colour coded to the doors which we would never have used so returned and got £200 refund. The was never a need for these fillers a better planner would never have used them or asked if we wanted them as they would have left odd spaces between units. When you take your measurements in to get your kitchen planned, you expect the planner to be competent and be clear as to what they are putting in your plan. The kitchen now fitted looks great but we had to return four doors and base units and now only have two doors in the same space where four doors would have been in the original plan. Our fitter could not believe what was on our plan. The two stars are for the planner not the product.

Always well stocked, and whilst the staff are nice enough, they don't seem as well trained as they were a few years back (which is not their fault...I guess it's a B&Q investment decision).

Gave 5 stars as I always find staff are helpful. Guide you in the right direction and often give advice. Called in today for a replacement oven bulb...bulb area looked like a hurricane had passed through. Not much was available in the way of any type of bulb. Called to the customer service / collections desk only to find they no longer stock what I wanted 😏 Judging by the state of the bulb area, I personally think they won't be stocking bulbs in general for much longer (although I could be wrong and hopefully it will get tidied and restocked) However, staff directed me to somewhere I could get what I needed, and I did 😊 thank you.
