Over the past four years, I have frequently used Hilton Addis for both official purposes and leisure, and Mrs. Gelana has always been a standout in her role. Her dedication to providing excellent service, particularly in managing restaurant bookings and services for my family, has made each visit a memorable experience. I have even recommended Mrs. Gelana to friends and family, as a contact and have received positive feedback from them as well. My family and I have always been satisfied with both the restaurant and overall hotel services, thanks to her attention to detail and warm hospitality. My stay in this hotel has been nice in regards to the cleanliness but their service has gotten worse by the day. Every time I come it is another disappointment, my friends and I once got told by a server at Kaffa that he wouldn’t be serving us as they are very busy, when there were only a few people in the restaurant including us. The wait to get a waiter to serve you or bring you your bill at Gazebo is also really tiring. Please do better!

The place is in dire need of an upgrade. I cannot believe this hotel has a 4 star rating as the rooms have not been maintained or updated in probably 50 years. The AC was not working and was stuck at 26 degrees Celsius. I hardly slept the first night due to the heat. The same evening the toilet backed up and the next morning I asked the front desk to send someone to fix these 2 issues. But the unfortunately the AC was still not working and 2 days later the toilet backed up again. The room needs more lighting especially arriving at night. A start could be to use stronger globes in current insufficient lights to at least be able to see something in the room. Employees are friendly and helpful. The food is good but not great. My pasta was cold and the sauce tasted like uncooked mashed tomatoes. We stayed 5 nights and were not offered a free airport shuttle. I was not even aware of that. We travel to Addis frequently for business and the hotels’ location is great plus my bed was super comfy, but I doubt we will stay there again.
