Excellent service from the moment we walked thru the door. We arrived early and within 15 minutes it was standing room only. This place has an amazing atmosphere as well. The waitress was very knowledgeable and very attentive despite being busy so quickly after we arrived. We ordered amazing appetizers. Everyone loved the Scottish egg. The best part is they have a gluten-free menu and even infer gluten-free free fried foods like fish fry, etc. The Steaks were done to perfection, with excellent taste as well. We had a party of 6. We will definitely return!

This was the first time we had ever been there. The bar tender, was very nice and helpful. The drinks were great! Then the hostess came to get us to be seated. Emily our waitress, was amazing! She hassled like I never seen before. She had to have been taken care of maybe 3 other tables and never missed a beat. The food was truly amazing! They also had a few vegan options. What a great experience. We will be back the next time in town! Thank you!

We had a group of 6 that went for the first time tonight! From walking in the door until we left…the service, atmosphere, drinks and food were outstanding! Started the evening with Old Fashioneds and we were quickly taken to a table where we shared appetizers of cheese curds, Scotch eggs and onion tanglers. 2 in our party ordered clam chowder and French onion soup which were very tasty! Our entrees were AMAZING!! Perch dinner, Fisherman’s Platter, French dip and 3 Ribeye Dinners! I had a gluten free perch dinner, it was Amazing, but also tried the Ribeye which was melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned, perfection on a plate! Our waitress was Ashley and she was top notch! Outstanding, very efficient, and friendly! We stopped here to try something new. We will continue to come back because everything was incredible!! 10 STARS!!!

Great meal on our anniversary. My wife appreciates the gluten free options available here that she can't get most places (breaded & fried). The wedge salad dressing combination is fantastic.

The food was excellent! We got quite the selection between the 4 of us with the entrees and appetizers. The scotch egg and Schnitzel were my favorite and even my wife's shepherd's pie was excellent! Make sure you hit up the bar because their bartenders are exceptional. Just be prepared for a wait. The prices were lower than I expected for the quality and the wait was worth it.

So good. Eastern European fare. Had sample platter with Schnitzel, sausage, pork chop, spaetzel, apple sauce and red cabbage. My first experience tasting pickled mushrooms... an Old Fashioned garnish. HIGHLY recommend Oh... anf French Onion soup

Yummy! Taste buds were having a party. My girlfriend and I were celebrating her birthday and I chose this restaurant. She needs to eat gluten free and they have a dedicated fryer just for customers that need to eat gluten free. The haystack onion rings were fantastic. I ordered a shrimp sandwich and my friend a pecan salad. Our meals were delicious, cooked perfectly, and enjoyed with a glass of 🍷. The friendly waitress was the best considering how busy the place was ( not a long wait either for our food to be served).

My girlfriend and I went here about a month ago on a lark, based on the recommendation of a supper club group on Facebook. Boy were we impressed! The hostess was very friendly despite a full house. The bartender encouraged questions about their specials. The manger (Sara) met us at the bar and assured us that we'd be seated soon. Our server, Allison, did a great job of recommending specials. I had to try the bone marrow (see pic), which was fantastic, generously portioned, and served over arugula and with garlic-buttered crostini. My gal had a fish fillet and vegetables. That was delicious, and even the vegetables were 'elevated', just super tasty! I ordered a king cut prime rib (perfectly med rare, very unique and fabulous aus jus, like I've never had before) and garlic mashed potatoes (hearty, flavorful). They offered us wine pours of 6 oz or 9 oz, which I'd never heard of before. We took the 9oz lol. The wine was terrific and fairly priced! We opted for a cheesecake for desert (made by one of the servers in her home business) and it was rich, flavorful, but fluffy, not heavy at all. Allison's service was terrific throughout. Another server heard us discussing the need for to-go boxes, and she promptly brought them without us even asking, and chatted us up. Then Sara came back and sincerely wanted to know how we liked it. We chatted with her for about 10 min about the philosophy there to constantly improve, every dish, all the time. And boy it shows! She then gave us a discount card for our next meal there. We go to supper clubs all the time. We've been to all of them in Sheboygan County and beyond. We both agreed that we'd never been treated better, never had better food at a supper club (or pretty much anywhere), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Now we're scouring our calendar and adjusting our future engagements to make sure we can occasionally be in Appleton to go visit Mark's again and try some of their very creative sounding takes on classic meals, prepared by a clearly enthusiastic and talented chef, and the best bartender, waitstaff, hostess, and manager you could ask for. I think our total bill for wine, appetizer, dinners, and desert came to just under $120. Unbelievable. Umpteen stars for Marks' East Side!! You blew our doors off, and we'll be back! - Kurt Coffin and Annette Koenig, Sheboygan WI.

Everything from the atmosphere to the food was perfect. The server was very good. And helpful, because we had never been there before. It totally made date night that much more special.

Awesome prime rib! Food is excellent, service was great, drinks were perfectly crafted. One of our favorite Saturday night out restaurants!

Service and atmosphere were fantastic. The staff was all friendly and even got to meet the owner, who was also super friendly. The schnitzel was amazing. They definitely know what they're doing as far as German food goes. I also got the ribeye. It was a little undercooked than what I asked for, but the flavor was great. I was surprised by how fast our service was considering how busy they were. Will most certainly be returning again!

Stopped early on a Thursday night. Started with a specialty drink, the Bourbon sour which was tart and had a hint of grapefruit. Loved it. Appetizer was their bruscetta with marinated tomatoes. My dinner choice was the stuffed tenderloin and my husband chose the German dinner special. Both were generously portioned and delicious. I had to try the Schaum torte with raspberry sauce. The sauce was a little too 'jammy' and sweet. Service was spot on throughout the dinner.

What a great spot! The bar area and high tops are a wonderful place to eat. Staff and service were fantastic. Perch was lightly breaded and delicious!

Not a bad place at all, well established, good food and portions are worth the cost. Excellent service, friendly staff, and has that old supper club appeal. I would recommend making reservations, especially for any large groups. There's nothing wrong here. Worth a visit for lunch or dinner or a special occasion

WOW!!! Absolutely amazing experience all around. Walked in to the host stand to an hour wait time.... Normally we would leave and try and find some place that we could eat a little faster, but not here- we were able to find a spot at the bar to sit down and order some old fashions while we waited. They were delicious, great setup, lots of room and incredibly friendly staff! Once we were sat at a table in the large dining area we ordered the Scotch egg as an appetizer and were pleasantly surprise the how big it was and how delicious it tasted. Hard boiled egg wrapped with pork sausage and fried served on a beef of kraut and mustard on the side. Each had a cup of some of the best clam chowder I've had, great flavor, plenty of meat and veggies as well. By this time we're already full. The entire time we were eating no matter who walked past they would take our plates it didn't matter if it was our server or not, they all worked so great together- even the chef was working the host stand! My wife got the baked haddock with sauteed veggies, both cooked perfect and seasoned great, I got the platter with scallops, shrimp, perch and haddock and ate about half- the breading for the shrimp and scallops was wonderful! I think I ate about half and took the rest to go, tartar sauce was delicious, only thing missing was rye bread and coleslaw, not that we needed it. Cannot wait to go back again!

Excellent supper club with authentic German dishes to enjoy! The prime rib is excellent and the schnitzel is amazing! The hot bacon dressing is phenomenal with the perfect balance of tang and sweet. And don’t forget dessert! The Schaum Torte was delicious- the meringue was light and crunchy and the raspberry topping was sweet without being overly so. Perfect way to end an excellent meal! Would highly recommend for a nice evening out and we will definitely visit again!

Although we had to wait over an hour, the wait was worth it. The place was packed. We had Megan wait on us and she was great and the food came out so fast. My wife and I split the seafood platter(scallops, perch, haddock and shrimp plus French fries). Everything was fabulous, even the coleslaw! I would have loved an after dinner brandy Alexander but was too full. It was our first time there but will definitely go back again. They definitely got their things in order there. I was very impressed!

Trying Mark’s fish fry for the first time, this was our second visit to this establishment. Was seated immediately, which was nice. Ordered two drinks, which arrived promptly. Both of us ordered AYCE fish fry, which comes with fries, slaw, tartar sauce, and a roll. For the price ($16), it would be nice to have choice of potato, which is common at many places. Food arrived very quickly. Fish was acceptable, although not very hot and a bit dry. One of us had requested a baked potato, and it wasn’t hot enough to even melt a pat of butter. Slaw was very good, and the rolls seemed fresh. Requested one more piece of fish, and it arrived good and hot, and it wasn’t dry like the first batch. Overall, satisfactory, but not memorable. Service was prompt and courteous. 😊

First time visiting Mark's East Side. The staff were great, very friendly. Our meals were awesome! I'm not sure why we've never been prior to now. We definitely will be returning.

Had my birthday dinner here and all I have to say is great things. Jen and Elizabeth took such great care of us. From the French onion soup to the perch dinner, everything was amazing. This will definitely be our new dinner spot.

WOW!! Can't say enough good things. Our server, Sarah (on her first Friday night serving, nonetheless!!), was extraordinary and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! And food was excellent! My steak was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. I thought the price was a little high but it was worth every penny! Definitely add Mark's East Side to your list of restaurants to try!
